Osprey Daylite Jr Alpin Blue

i bought a daylite pack about 5 years ago on a good sale, not having shopped around much, just needing a small pack for solo day hikes. it has been the PERFECT bag for this. after 5 years it’s still in great shape (granted, i don’t put it through the ringer or anything). that first one was a color that i never liked, but my mom did - so i recently ordered myself a new daylite pack and gifted my old one to her. this updated version is just as great as the last, and with larger side pockets. easily carries a first aid kit, emergency blanket, bear spray, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, a portable phone charger, and a few other small items. recently took it on a trip where it rained a lot, and stuffed a 13L dry bag inside to protect the contents. the daylite itself got ... Morei bought a daylite pack about 5 years ago on a good sale, not having shopped around much, just needing a small pack for solo day hikes. it has been the PERFECT bag for this. after 5 years it’s still in great shape (granted, i don’t put it through the ringer or anything). that first one was a color that i never liked, but my mom did - so i recently ordered myself a new daylite pack and gifted my old one to her. this updated version is just as great as the last, and with larger side pockets. easily carries a first aid kit, emergency blanket, bear spray, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, a portable phone charger, and a few other small items. recently took it on a trip where it rained a lot, and stuffed a 13L dry bag inside to protect the contents. the daylite itself got plenty wet but repeatedly dried out easy overnight. this is the perfect sized bag to fit everything i need for one person and while keeping light on weight and volume.

Great minimalist climbing gym bag! At 13 liters it is really small, which is ideal for my purposes but keep in mind if it'll work for you. I ride my bike to the gym, and this bag is so much lighter than the cheapo bag I used before and breathes so much better. No more sweaty back when I get to the gymInside main compartment I've got harness, chalk bag, monkey tail length of rope for practicing clipping, and a U lock. Secondary compartment has snacks, rudimentary first aid supplies (nonstick pads, antibacterial ointment, climbers tape, lil scissors, bandaids, kurlex roll). Water bottle compartments hold the larger size hydroflask in one and my jumprope in the other. Shoes clipped to the compression straps. My only quibble is that the compression straps are totally ... MoreGreat minimalist climbing gym bag! Would rather have a loop or two to clip things to the back. But other than that I have no complaints.

Nice pack for day trips. The large interior pocket easily handles a rain jacket, water bottle, and umbrella while the smaller interior pocket holds snacks, energy bars and other daily need items - there are interior dividers to keep items separated as needed. Exterior mesh pockets worked well for sunglasses (glasses were enclosed in a protective case), and small brochure /map if needed. The lightly padded shoulder straps are comfortable and the adjustable buckle straps work easily to secure the pack as needed. There is space for a small H2O bladder (not included). This pack lacks and exterior frame (as expected) and has a breathable back mesh however it does not provide much in the way of air flow. The pack was perfect for international travel as a carry-on and for tour buses with narrow overhead space. I also have an Osprey 65 with frame that is approximately 7 years old and is fantastic for longer treks. I am a man of 73 years, 6 feet tall, 170 lbs.
