First off, I am not a person that normally reviews a product, but was blown away by this packs performance. Traveling extensively over that last 30 years, this is the first pack I have used as a carry-on and daypack on vacation that has not left my back a sweaty mess. If you have problems with sweating through your shirts, or having a hot back because of your backpack, this is the one to buy!We went to Africa, Europe, and Iceland with this pack, not once did I sweat through because of the pack. The mesh suspension kept me cool, provided phenomenal support no matter what we stuffed in there, and held everything we could shove in there with no problems. When the pack wasn't full, the compression straps flattened the pack out with ease.Pictures don't do the pack ... MoreFirst off, I am not a person that normally reviews a product, but was blown away by this packs performance. The side mesh pockets easily hold water bottles (32 oz Nalgene fits perfect), or anything else you need handy. The large pocket on the outside is really handy for coats, headphones, anything wet, or anything you can think of to put in it. Interior section is large and will hold a large amount of gear, the bladder pocket can double as a hideaway for documents, passports, money or anything else you want tucked away. The only thing I would change would be to make the top pocket a little bigger. You can put a cell phone, battery, keys, wallet, and some small items, but I like to put a little more than it can hold into it. To top it all off, a pack cover is included to keep the pack dry when you get more than a small drizzle while you are walking around. If you were on the fence about this pack, or are looking for a pack that won't make you sweat through your shirt, no matter how hot it is, buy this one!

Ordering this pack on-line, I was a bit nervous since at 32lt. it was larger than the 26lt. I wanted. However, it is very light and adjusts to fit perfectly. There are no complaints about quality. I love the feel and stability. The bottle pouches are extra large and deep.In a perfect world I would add a narrow pouch to the hip belt for storing a snack and the front storage on the outside would be horizontal rather than vertical to allow more space. Overall, this pack performs well on long day hikes and is excellent value.

I am very happy with backback. It is an excellent choice for day hikes and outdoor adventures. Its lightweight design, durable materials, and well-ventilated back panel make it comfortable to wear for extended periods. The backpack has plenty of pockets and compartments to keep gear organized, including a hydration sleeve and side mesh pockets. Overall, it's a well-made and functional backpack that's perfect for anyone in need of a reliable and comfortable option for their outdoor pursuits

First Off, this bag was purchased for my mother who passed last November. Since then i picked it up as it was literally brand new i wanted to give it a shot.I'm iffy on the top pocket as its used for smaller items, it gets heavy and floppy on the top of the bag if its not full. Other than that pocket, this bag is great. I like the suspension and breathe ability on this bag. Perfect for a day hikes 5-20 miles. If you were to pack right could easily slip in an overnighter. I use it for a lot of wade fishing, walking and playground trips with the kids, and beach and forest hikes in Florida. And it is my go to commute bag at the moment. Ill switch out from having a bladder in there, or ill run two bottle in those epic side pockets! Ill carry this osprey until it falls apart!
I'm really happy with my purchase because this backpack fit my needs for traveling! At first I was hesitant to get this backpack because it was just 1 large pouch with 1 small open pouch and 1 small zipper pouch. Most travel bags have 3 different pouches and a bunch of pockets to organize your stuff. So I was worried that just throwing all my stuff into one big pouch would make it difficult for me to stay organized but I just used travel pouches to keep certain items together. I was so happy with how much stuff I could fit into this 27L bag! I used to travel with a 22L bag and wanted to upgrade my pack so I could fit more stuff with me. I also really liked how rigid the frame of the backpack is and it will stand up on its own without any items in it. I also really liked how rigid the frame of the backpack is and it will stand up on its own without any items in it. The two outer pockets for water bottles are HUGE, which I absolutely just love. I usually carry a 32 oz hydro flask with me and would always throw it in my backpack which would take up a good amount of space. But with this pack I can place it in a side pocket and save room. I also like that there's a secure strap to the side of the pouch so I don't have to just rely on the elastic of the pocket to keep my hydro flask locked in.The biggest con to me as another review mentioned is the amount of pilling due to the air vent. I loved the idea of the air vent and did feel that it kept my back cool. However whenever I wear any cotton shirts or jackets, the air vent will pick up blobs of cotton. I ultimately decided to keep this bag because I loved how much it could carry and how comfortable it was, but I did notice that I had to be more careful about what clothing I wear with my pack because I'm worried about the pilling.
Is very simple backpack. Good size with nice deep side pockets. Top pocket is also nice. Zippers works great Great comfort for your back. Hip belt is very adjustable, it will fit very thin and also big person. Colors are great.
I picked this to complement my 3 Gregory packs due to the capacity I need at the moment. I'm rather disappointed as it is clear this pack was never really tested properly. I use a pack every day, this one I've used for 2 hours and the major faults are glaringly obvious. I thought at first this pack was a manufacturers 2nd however after checking a retail store I discovered they are all made faulty
I've had this backpack for about a year now. For context, I bought this bag specifically for day hiking and I've used it on 4 day hikes. It has been a great bag so far. It's an Osprey bag so you know you're getting an amazing bag.Pros: 1. I use a bite valve/bladder system on day hikes and it works very well for this. It has a sleeve to put the bladder in, a clip for tube management, and a strap to hold it in place on the shoulder strap.2. It keeps my back very cool with the mesh backing and frame. This keeps it off my back and allows air to circulate.Con: Loses 1 star because the waist strap is very thin, and it doesn't have waist strap pouches. I bought an REI pouch and ran it across the chest strap to deal with it but it's not an ideal fix. once I unclip, the ... MoreI've had this backpack for about a year now. I bought an REI pouch and ran it across the chest strap to deal with it but it's not an ideal fix. once I unclip, the pouch swings around and can slide off the end of the strap if I don't have it cinched tight enough. Since the waist strap is so thin, it gets a little uncomfortable by the end of the day. A wider, padded strap is preferable in my situation. I would not recommend it for longer day hikes because of this. However, it's a great bag if you just need a day pack and don't mind the waist strap.
I am sublimating my COVID cabin fever by loading up on gear. This pack caught my eye locally, but they did not have the gray/yellow combo I wanted; giving me the opportunity to patronize Backcountry as I would always prefer to do, Here's what I like about this pack: First, the Airspeed suspension is the best in class for keeping your back cool. Second, I like the rigid frame of this pack, so it doesn't collapse on itself if not completely full. Third, the "size" fits on my back perfectly = not too big and not too small. Fourth, as another poster below noted, this pack holds a lot for its 26L stated size. Fifth, while some people might wish the front "shove it" pocket was mesh, I am not a mesh fan, so I like this version just the way it is. People can grouse they wished it had pocket(s) on the waist belt, or a more robust bungee on the water bottle side pockets; but Hey! at $100 this is a feature-laden bargain! One final note: The pictures really don't do justice to all the nice colors of this pack. The blue is rich blue, the orange is bright safety orange and the black is a rich black with gray trim = all very nice. I just happen to like yellow, so the yellow trim on the gray model appeals to me. The interior on mine is also bright yellow, so I can see down to the bottom of the main compartment. I am delighted and think you would be too.
I bought this for an 80 mile hike. I thought the rain cover was a nice touch but really appreciated it when it rained half the time we were out. It was the perfect size, sturdy, and super comfortable. I just need to get a water bladder for it and it will be complete.
