Fantastic Bag! I purchased this to act as my primary bag for a 3 week, warm weather trip. It worked great, the 40 liter was small enough to fit in the overhead of small commercial planes (they have even smaller requirements than typ carry-on and I wanted to avoid having to gate-check a traditional roller bag). I use packing cubes so the minimal open interior was a huge plus. I was able to fit 2 medium cubes, 1 small cube, extra shoes, toiletries (including a travel hair dryer), some of my tech stuff and other odds and ends.The materials seem to be extremely durable and the zippers and straps are sturdy. I never worried about smushing it into an overhead or setting it down on the ground etc.I am looking forward to taking it on future adventures!

I went on 10-day trip through eastern Europe. I was trying to pack light and I felt I needed a carry-on bag that wasn't so ridged. This duffel worked perfectly. I was able to fit all my cloths and an extra pair of shoes. The only downside was it does not have duffel straps. It acks more as a backpack, less a s duffel

Ordered one for me and my husband for our recent trip. It was a two week trip and we had to bring formal clothes to attend a wedding, but we wanted to only bring carry-on luggage. We were concerned these bags would be too small. But we had no trouble packing our essentials. The back pack option is so clever and useful. The conversion is quick and easy.My bag arrived missing an essential buckle and strap. It was definitely an omission by the manufacturer not Altitude. Altitude offered to replace the bag, but I loved the colour I had ordered and there were no others in stock. Somehow Altitude managed to find the missing strap for me. I have always been impressed by Altitude Customer Service, but this truly amazed me.

I bought this bag for my college age son who takes frequent weekend trips. The features - waterproof, carry handle and backpack straps, and size make it the perfect travel bag for my active son. I chose this bag because he can take it on outdoor adventures, and it is the perfect size to carry on for all airlines and will fit in the overhead compartment. He already had an Osprey backpack that he wears when mountain biking and snowboarding so he was thrilled to get an Osprey travel bag for Christmas. The quality and durability is just fantastic.
Through six countries, on planes, trains, taxis and on foot, this duffle performed without a problem. Mine is an older version, but similar to the current one. It's basically one big compartment with a couple of small pockets, but with packing cubes, it stayed organized and carried the weight well. When other travelers were asked to put their wheeled bags "in the hold" I was waved on through carrying my bag by one of it's four handles. Hint: don't try to carry it through a crowded plane with dangling backpack straps - just tuck them away before boarding.

I think I'd prefer external side compression straps on the bag like TNF do...wouldn't be as tidy though.- lastly the rucsac harness straps could do with end clips to stop them flapping about in a breeze (but really not a big issue)
This bag is rock-solid and should be able to survive the worst of abuse. Good luck trying to break or tear this workhorse. The shoulder straps are nicely padded and comfortable. It makes for a great everyday backpack, gym bag or travel carry-on. The TPU-coated nylon is perfectly water resistant and air-tight. Though, that also means that it doesn't provide ventilation, so if you're wearing it in the summer heat, expect back sweat. Osprey has never failed me and this bag is no exception.

I recently purchased the Transporter 40 and although not exactly as described in the video (perhaps mine is an older model????) it is undoubtedly the most versatile and comfortable backpack I own. As an avid camper/kayaker and traveller, this model has many, many useful applications. What I particularly like is that it can be either worn as a backpack or carried as a small duffle depending upon your preference, and particularly handy for airline travel - it definitely meets airline carry-on size requirements. This is a rugged well constructed duffle/backup with an attractive unique look. The Venturi Blue looks great without standing out too much. I wish it had a mesh pocket on the interior of the flap and the fact this model no longer comes with a shoulder strap diminishes it's utility but that wasn't the mode of carry I was mainly interested in. The shoulder straps are well made and have a yoke and a sternum strap which is a necessity imo. I got this over the Patagonia Black Hole 40L for those reasons and was not disappointed.
