Good product with all you need to switch from magnetic flourescent tubes to LED (Starters and tubes). If you are unsure if you have electronic or magnetic ballast, check the light from the old tubes with your phone camera, if it has dark stripes moving across it it is magnetic.

The product is off low quality build. The tube is made of paper thin plastic that just cracks while just handling normally. First item was broken inside the box so returned it. Swapped for new one. The new one just cracked while installing. Unlike the original tubes that came with the base unit, the replacement tubes are too flimsy and poorly manufactured. Won't buy this again, week try a different brand next time.

These were a straight swap, took out the 2 old tubes and starters, put in the new starters and tubes, and now have instant bright light, not the old flicker flicker while the fluoro tubes eventually came on. Going back for more to replace some other ones, should have done it long ago. Bought mine through click and collect and found box had been taped closed so I was a bit nervous, but everything was there - may have been that these didn't work for another customer. Depends on your existing fitting having the correct ballast, otherwise it all needs rewiring - I was lucky that mine was OK and it was just a straight swap.

Super easy to upgrade your existing floor battens to LED. The included starters made the process so simple, change starter, change bulb - finished. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that 2 of the 3 bulbs I fitted tonight had cracks about 5cm long in the glass tubes near the ends. But they still worked fine. As mine are under diffusers, I left them as is. Perhaps check them in the shop before you go.
Replaced some really old non-LED fluorescent tubes with these recently (dual batten light). It had magnetic ballasts in them and it worked fine. Do Google how to determine the type of ballast in your light to ensure compatibility.Pros:- Straight-forward installation as it came with two LED tubes and two LED starters - just switch off the power, pull out the old bits and put in the new. Done.- No more flickering or waiting for the slow power-on of non-LED fluoros. Works well with sensor- Good value. Not sure how they differ from the Osram 1.2m 14W 2100lm single packs aside from the 2 extra watts and slightly higher lumens rating (2 for the price of 1, almost)Cons:- Poorly packaged and likely to be damaged. I installed these and they turned on and off like a strobe light. I read the manual and half way though it says they are for magnetic ballast type fittings only. Mine was electronic ballast. Would be good to include this on the product webpage...I had to have the fitting rewired as per the wiring diagram in the manual (electrician required) and they worked perfectly!I rated it 4 stars because of the lack of critical info on what type of fittings these are compatible with. Should be written here or on the box.
I purchased this item as a direct replacement for my fluorescent globes. I even researched the changeover, but because I have an electronic ballast not a magnetic ballast, I have to have the lights totally re-wired.There was nothing on the outside of the box to reflect this, but it was in the installation instructions inside the box.The product may be OK, but I feel hood-winked!
As some other reviewers have said - be very careful. If you chose to try these check each tube carefully at the store & then handle delicately - install & twist by the ends. I can only conclude the material quality is poor. Took about 6 box checks at the store to find what we thought were uncracked/unbroken tubes. Got home to fit & found cracks in the end of one tube. The cracked tube does work, but not happy. Deta used to do similar & they were great. If these fail I will look at Philips since Deta don't appear to do them anymore.

Purchased 8 tubes today (4 X 2 pack). Boxes looked underaged but when I got home 2 boxes had one tube with the end broken off & one tube with large crack at one end. The tubes that survived work great - pity about only 50% survival rate. Although the glass is paper thin, I believe better protection in the packaging would improve survival rate.
