I am a watch collector with everything from watches associated with my phone to many classic automatics. I just buy what I like and always on the lookout for something different have looked at G-Shock in general and this watch in particular. I have never seen this one in the flesh. Just on photographs and it looks as good as the photographs but with one issue. See below.When this watch was delivered I was first struck by the rather basic presentation in a tin box but to be fair I have many very smart watch boxes and they all just take up space anyway. The watch itself was covered in a great many adhesive strips which meant it was well protected but took an age to get off. Then on to setting it up.I am a firm believer in "if all else fails read the instructions" ... Then on to setting it up.I am a firm believer in "if all else fails read the instructions" and with this watch hit that point very quickly and the instructions were the normal complicated Casio large sheet of very tiny text. Now to a tip. Download the phone app. Then you just need to pair the watch with your phone and read the instructions from there. Once paired with the app it is great but note that the instructions for the first part of pairing is to hold button "B" for st least three seconds. After that repeatedly fails you discover that it takes at least five or six seconds before the little indicator hand you can't see moves to the right place for Bluetooth.Cut to an hour or so later and the watch is up and running. The only problem then is that it looks really good in the pictures and it is a very smart watch on the wrist but in anything other than bright light it is very hard to see the hands. That is the only reason for giving it three stars.If the watch had a more practical colour scheme it would easily be five stars. It looks good and is well made. The case and strap is as good as some of my watches which cost thousands and the extra functions (in watch talk, complications) over telling the time are very good. As a traveller I love being able to pick my destination by clicking on a map in the app and then tell the app to change my watch to the selected time zone. Then watch the hands spin to the required time zone. I have a Casio Red Arrows watch that adjusts to world time but it is such a complicated process to change the time I never use it for travel. This watch will get used as it is far more straightforward.Final point is that the watch comes with a very long bracelet which will fir just about any wrist. It is very easy to remove links but I will leave it to DIYers to check how.

Great watch, love the Bluetooth feature. It doesn't do calls etc but once connected to your phone, you can adjust time etc from the app which is good. The weight and materials are as expected, nothing special but usually durable. Expected more as it was a deadpool edition ie a little engraved logo or any other logo on the watch but it doesn't have any distinguishing features related to deadpool. Usual functions as expected. All round good watch but not a stand out version.

Nice special Deadpool edition watch. Auto time set by zone, not too hard to navigate. Even though I knew it didn't have a date function, this would of been nice. It has two wats of time shown, one with the standard sword hands and the other is the digital time . The Bluetooth function is useless really, its only function is to find your phone with a small sounding beep. But this is all I need, I don't need a crazy modern digital watch to read messages and to constantly charge ect. This is simple, works and changes in the sun. It needs half a day's worth of dire t sunlight to charge, at least once a month. However, other light sources can work (so I'm led to believe).

Everything you can expect of a g-shock: sturdy and tough.Pros:- The red accents look great- Tough- Solar poweredCons:- It's actually pretty difficult to see the dial in dark environments (but it does have an LED)- Sure it's tough, but the lens is a mineral crystal which is a scratch magnet- This could be my individual experience, but it took a very long time to charge to "H" level. I'm talking about 10 hours in direct sunlight.Really, in the end, watches are a subjective preference, and this one wasn't for me. However, if g-shock is your style, this watch is pretty good at the price point.

Yes - I would wholeheartedly recommend the G-Shock Full Metal Tough Solar Bluetooth Black Dial Bracelet Watch GM-B2100D-1AER. I have several automatics from prestigious Swiss manufacturers and I love their looks and their build quality. However, I sometimes think they are like a new car that has been designed to run on coal. Excellent everyday watch. Easy to read time. Solar charging, hourly signal and world time feature are very useful for me.I don't have Bluetooth enabled on my phone still the watch keeps accurate time. - no time syncing needed between app n watchWas a bit worried whether the watch would be too bulky for my skinny wrist, but it fits well and looks compact for a gshockcons:The small digital display is a negative display and its sometimes hard to see. The black stealth non Bluetooth version has a more clearer digital display but GA-B2100BNR-1AER has better overall looks.You can set only one timer in the watch.

Whilst I really like the colour, look & feel of the watch and it’s many functions - for a watch that costs as much as this retailing at £500 & with a reputation for toughness - I am really disappointed that having just recently started wearing it I quite gently caught the bezel edge on the edge of our kitchen island but it was enough to cause a small chip in the black metal finish.Extremely disappointing as I would have expected the metal finish to be able to withstand much more robust treatment rather than being damaged by such a gentle knock as this.Especially when you consider that these watches are so heavily advertised as being able survive massive drops and knocks.Clearly the watch should be advertised as being just for dress occasions like going out to ...
