OtterBox Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Case Symmetry Black

The first time I dropped my phone using this case the screen shattered. The "raised edges" of this case are lower than the edges of the screen on the sides offering no protection in those areas. Judging from the damage it definitely looks like the unprotected screen edge was where the initial contact was made when the phone was dropped. I have only had my new phone for 31 days and thanks to choosing this Otterbox case I already have a broken screen. That doesn't speak well for the drop protection they claim or the usefulness of the raised edges. Don't waste your money on this case if you are wanting any sort of protection for your phone.

I had this case for my old phone and the raised edge around the screen kept my phone several mm above any flat surface I set it on. This one does NOT have a raised edge at all despite the description, if I set my phone face down on a flat surface it rests on the screen and the case doesn't even touch the flat surface. It may be because of the curved screen but it's still misleading. I'm not sure if it's just for this phone or if it's for all cases in the Symmetry series but I'm pretty disappointed by the change.In addition, the case doesn't seem as secure, when it's on I can clearly see the metal side of my phone on the right side and it pops off a lot easier than the case on my old phone. Really disappointed as this would have been my third OtterBox case and I was more than happy with the previous ones. Don't change what isn't broken, and DON'T advertise a feature that is no longer present.

The case does not fit appropriately on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. There is no way to get a secure fit. The corners pop out very easily and the glass is above the case edges on the long side. There is no way this case passed any quality or drop checks, unless the quality check was "is the Otterbox name on packaging" and the case was dropped without a phone in it.Don't fall for this case, it's a trick.
