These models come with large doors on either side to provide great cross ventilation in warm weather as well as dual access. The tent also includes an outside vestiuble for storing wet gear such as boots or bags. I purchased this little beauty mainly for motorcycle camping. I've had it up for 2 nights but haven't slept in it yet because I'm not a very INTENSE person (get it?) Bad joke sorry š¤. Both nights it has rained heavily and it's bone dry inside and it's also been very gusty today and the tent remains sturdy & performs well aided by the lower aero dynamic rear of the tent. It can be pitched in under 3 minutes aided again by no guy ropes. It also has excellent ventilation which is a must for Australian summers. It would also make an excellent hiking tent as it packs small & light. I love this tent, I just wish it came in a nice red or green colour but still it doesn't look bad in saying that. Highway recommended. 6 out of 5 stars š. Thanks to the other reviewers which ...Ā MoreI purchased this little beauty mainly for motorcycle camping. Great lightweight tent. Excellent size for one with backpack and good headroom. You can leave the fly open during the night if the weather is good and not too cold. I love the floor material, it's stronger than most light weight tents in this class. Great storage pockets inside. Love the aluminium poles over fiberglass ones but they are not colour coded like some tents. The only real negative thing that I could pick was there's no hook inside the tent on the roof for a hanging light. Otherwise it's brilliant tent.

Excellent tent. If i had my time again i would go the 3 man version. It isnāt much larger packed and the extra room and head room would be worth it. Mine has been warm and dry in wet and windy weather. The only negative to this tent that i can find is if its heavy dew or rain coming down itās difficult to get out without your back getting wet from the damp fly or rain getting in as the base is wider than the top, so opening the zip and crawling out means some part is get very damp.I have the luxury of a bit of carrying capacity on the bike so i think i will get a 4x2 silver tarp and some short tent poles to go over the tent if i am predicting wet weather. Isnāt a big deal but being damp and cold in a nice tent isnāt ideal. A dome tent with the veranda style awning ...Ā MoreExcellent tent. If i had my time again i would go the 3 man version. A dome tent with the veranda style awning over the entrance is a better option if wet weather is a regular feature of your camping. These are hard to find at this price point with the quality and packed size the Howqua gives. I am 6ā2 and use a monsta matt and its cosy but not cramped. Easy fast set up and no ropes to trip over is great. Overall its a great tent and money well spent š

Purchased this tent as I was after something small while packed down and easy to get up. I like how there are no ropes, it all uses pegs so set up is easy. 2 main poles are quite sturdy and the whole thing is set up within 2 mins. Pockets just inside the door are handy for storing keys and torches. Good sized vestibule. Was a tad windy when we camped the first night and the tent was solid. Woke up to a dewy morning and inside was dry and warm. Only downside to this tent is you cannot stand up inside but I didn't find that an issue.
Son and I decided to go Adventure Riding for the first time. I bought a Swag elsewhere thinking its the way to go. Set it up slept in it, too confined.Worried that I went the other way with the Howqua 3 being too big, turned out just right. The first night east of Cooma in the bush it dropped down to Zero and the wind was blowing very strongly, Son was in a full mesh tent with Fly. Did we both freeze? Yes, and we should 'nt have been there. For me the tent is very good, packs small, not too heavy, well made, room for all your stuff, it's attractive with a space age appearance, which I was concerned about if it was seen by a UFO.
First I had a 2p but wanted a bit more room as I have a large airbed. I like this tent for the double doors, price, ease of erection and sturdy design. What I don't like are only small things. The fly needs it's own tent pegs, no loop to hang lantern inside at night. Tip# When hot, don't face the high end of the tent towards the wind but rather face side on to catch breeze. In Queensland often you can be hot and have rain at the same time. This is tricky as if you have a flap open the rain gets in.
Itās quite a spacious tent at the top end but it takes a lot of pegs to pegs down properly. Comes with 12 pegs but I used 18. Catches the wind a bit too. Havenāt used it in the rain yet. I have a number of small tents and to be honest I like the cross over pole types that are free standing when on hard or rocky ground. Like the popular Pro Hiker. However Iām sure it will give satisfactory service and is quite roomy for one person and gear or two people comfortably.
Just a quick update after using this tent for a new nights in the bush..I bought this tent to replace my All Weather Stretcher tent. I wanted something that had more ventilation on hot nights, no condensation and smaller when packed. And this tent ticks all of those boxes. And when pared with a Zempire Monstamat this tent is extremely comfortable to sleep in.The only downside is that the lightweight pegs are pretty flimsy and will get bent if you are setting up in anything but soft soil. I will be replacing mine with heavier pegs before i use it again as the extra weight doesnt effect me.
I travel solo, the Howqua two is perfect. Room for me, sleeping bag and mat and then boots, jacket, pants and helmet down other side of tent. Two big side opening are fab. Itās sheer proof. Havenāt tested in strong winds and downpour. I like the height as I can easily sit up inside the tent to change. Photos are at McKillops Bridge on the Snowy River.
I received my tent a few weeks back, only took 2 days for delivery.. great job!My next camping trip is still a few weeks away but i have set up the tent in the back yard to check it out and it all seems very good. It takes no longer than 5mins to put up/down and is pretty straight forward. So long as you fold it correctly then it easily fits back in to the supplied bag with no trouble.Definitely roomier than i expected, i think the listed interior dimensions are very conservative. Plenty of room for one person. I held back ordering a Monstamat to make sure it would fit, but there is heaps of space to spare. Will post an updated review once i have used it in the bush.
