To this day, it still hasn't fixed a lot of the issues people have with the game. Once they make their initial money back on launch, they don't actually care if the game succeeds or fails. They will put a skeleton crew on it for "balance changes" and wait until people stop playing it so they can shut it down completely.Would not recommend this game at all.

The fighting can get fast, causing you to think on your feet and plenty kinds of guns to help get past the problem. This and your special abilities. Then you have quite a few extra side missions you can do which keeps on activating as you progress. Back in town, it is time to buy, sell or craft some new gear. What I also like is how you have to destroy an item to claim its mod for later use, infinite use and only have to do it once with three levels of mods to gain.I can't see any game breaking bugs or any major problems and I know the game received mediocre feedback, but for me this is a fun yes with plenty to do in the long run. The campaign alone seems lengthy which is surprising for a shooter game.

Outriders takes a little time to find its feet, but once it does the bombastic gunplay is a lot of fun! Sure, the gameplay loop is very similar to Borderlands, but the story and enemies are really different. In fact, I'd argue that there's a little too much time spent fighting humans and not enough time fighting the (way more interesting) aliens. There's plenty of side quests with good rewards that'll keep you heading back to old areas, and it's great to find that one new totally-OP item that absolutely crushes any enemies that stand in your way!

As I have not had the chance to play this multiplayer yet, I can only say for the singleplayer experience. There is a suitable balance between shoot, loot and leveling so far. There's precious little information to begin with, but after a little while of playing, that seems to become moot as it's all very simple.Although the game feels more optimised for multiplayer, I'm having great fun 'supporting myself' with the abilities I gain for the class I have chosen. The storyline is... a little eclectic and feels kind of over-amped in places, but I'm eager to see more of it.As beautiful as the game is, it feels a bit clunky in places and I'm not sure what system it was designed for, but it feels a little too jarring to be a 'made for PC' game... But if it was a console design, it's well optimised and still plays suitably.I would have liked a whole lot more information when choosing my class (I like the abilities, but am not a fan of the ice elemental damage) and it's probably a whole lot better with more players... but seeing as I got it on a sale, I feel that I'm going to get my money's worth before the game runs out.

I'm really glad I waited to pick this up. The "soft reboot" New Horizons patch from later last year has really improved this game substantially, so this is a must-buy on sale. Maybe even full price if you've got friends to play it with.OR runs well, looks great, gunplay and powers feel really fun to use, and the end game loop is much more enjoyable now. The only cautionary tale is if you have unreliable internet, maybe look elsewhere. It seems to use the same peer-to-peer hosting setup for multiplayer games like Vermintide or World War Z, so you'll be in for a lot of frustrating, progress-wiping disconnects if your ISP isn't solid.

I highly recommend this game if you like looter shooters. Gameplay is basically you being overpowered god destroying everything. You can choose from 4 classes with their own playstyle, abilities and skill tree. Story is quite interesting, but I wish there was more exploration of Enochs flora and fauna.Armor and weapons are very impactful. They have their own stats and interesting general or class specific mods and they really do make a difference especially on higher difficulties. You can't put on whatever has higher number and expect to succeed even in campaign.End-game is about farming and droping that perfectly rolled item, but it's not that grindy, since you can craft and change one mod on an item and improve stats that rolled with lower value. If you've played Borderlands, you've played a better (and of course, funnier) version of this. There's nothing wrong with making an edgelord looter shooter but this one is an unstable game-as-a-service with invasive security features and a halfhearted campaign that fails to elevate the gameplay loop. Since there's nothing particularly wrong with the looter-shooter aspect of the game (any one stage in isolation is enjoyable), this is a perfect example of a game that is less than the sum of its parts rather than more. Whatever you do spend on it, be prepared to lose that when they decide to pull support for the always-online lobby aspect that is required even for a solo campaign.

Outriders is an excellent example of its kind, a story-based shooter. It has an interesting tale to tell, great voice-acting, and well thought out combat mechanics. A new feature I haven't encountered on previous games of this type is the ability to 'go back in time' to replay a mission you've completed already. It has easily adjustable hardness in case a boss is just a little too much for you, and excellent cooperative support. The graphics/artwork are beautiful as well. I recommend it.

Easily the most fun that I've had with a video game in a good minute. It takes the looter shooter formula and makes it purely cooperative instead of PvE PvP, which is a wonderful change of pace. It has some problems, a few glitches here and there but nothing game breaking. If you're a fan of Destiny, Anthem or The Division, you will probably like this game. It features solid teamwork, great abilities and a simplified tier/skill tree, which is also refreshing. I find that too many games try too hard to be complicated. This game streamlines the mumbo-jumbo so all you gotta do is shoot stuff and have fun with friends or randoms. The Discord community is also very friendly and helpful!

No idea what the difference of the Day 1 Edition compared to the normal. I bought it because a friend lacked the money so I gifted it to them. They don't have anything negative to say other than one thing: "I'm not sure where the "Unique Legendary" guns that the Day 1 Edition gave me are at." I never looked personally but I explained to them about the inbox. They still said that they didn't see them. The blue guns are there, but the Unique Legendary ones are not. I told them to clear out the box but they were still not fruitful. They absolutely love the game though.
