Outward Hound Fun Feeder Bowl Purple Mini
The Slo-Bowl is a natural, healthy, and playful solution for dogs that gobble their kibble too quickly. Our nature-inspired designs promote natural eating habits by requiring dogs to forage for their feasts. Moreover, by prolonging feeding times, Slo-Bowls reduce the risks for bloat, regurgitation, and canine obesity. Dogs quickly learn to "chase" their food through a maze of ridges and valleys, making dinnertime feel more like a hunt. And, because the Slo-Bowl "rewards" their play with bits of food, furry friends become more and more engaged as the meal goes on. Veterinarians agree that slower feeding is safer feeding. When it's time to dine, feed your dog with peace of mind.

Got this as a second attempt to slow down my heeler puppy's eating as the first bowl didn't work. This bowl took her meal time from 2 minutes to 11!!!! In the 5 months that I've had my puppy, my older dog has never been able to finish her food before the puppy - but now the puppy takes longer to eat! I love this bowl. It also has some sort of nonslip on the bottom, so it's harder for my puppy to knock around when she's eating.10/10

These bowls are exactly what I was needing for my pitbull and my boxer. Both are fast eaters, like turn my back for 30 seconds and it's all gone fast. I timed them the first time they ate from these and it took them a good 6-7 mins to clean it. I've used them several weeks now and they still do the job. I feed them a cup in the morning and a cup a night, it fits perfectly but I could see how it could overflow if you feed more than two cups at a time. I highly recommend these, it has helped my dogs to slow down eating and they look pretty neat dorito.

These bowls were the 1st time I've tried a special bowl to slow eating times for my dogs. I got this patterned bowl + 1 other (aquamarine colored one#. I used to use elevated bowls; these are larger than I expected, they are set on the floor. Both have slowed down considerably...300% at least. It seems they enjoy the challenge of getting the food. Once in a while they try to get the food using their paw but that doesn't work. so they slowly circle the bowl. It's funny to watch them go for it all. The food I feed them is Bil-Jac and is small pellet like so they have to work for the food.I've come back for another or two so I have variety for them. I find with these I rinse each after each feeding, sometimes they are a bit slimy because of dog saliva I guess. Petflow offered these bowls at the best price that I could find.

Our Puggle Moose has a tendency to try to inhale his food faster than he should. My parents had been hesitant to get him a slow feeder because they were worried he would just flip it over to get around eating his food more slowly, but it's been doing it's job. I'm very hopeful that having to slow down a little when he eats will result in a healthier, happier dog all around.
Great bowl! Fun, works VERY well to keep my pug from bolting her food! So well, in fact, that I also bought the same brand in a different color and design for my other dog, and have duplicates for traveling! And I've tried other brands same idea but my dogs won't use them. Stick with Outward Hound!
This feeder is definitely slowing down the hasty eating habit of my doggie. She actually chews the food now which helps with better digestion. The feeder is of good quality and serves its purpose well.
I purchased one of these after I got my corso pup and was struggling with feeding time. If she ate from a bowl it was 10 seconds and vomiting later. If I fed her from the Kong it was more work than I could put forth every meal, every day. Enter the puzzle bowls. I bought one of these and then read the reviews. I began to worry as other reviewers said these were not conducive to feeding bully breeds with their blocky muzzles. To those people I say you gave up too quickly. At first I did have to give her 30 minutes to was and then put the remainder in a regular bowl, but over time this went away. Things to keep in mind: your pet will need room to walk all the way around the bowl, because they're using their tongue you'll need to wash it a bit more frequently than a ... MoreI purchased one of these after I got my corso pup and was struggling with feeding time. Things to keep in mind: your pet will need room to walk all the way around the bowl, because they're using their tongue you'll need to wash it a bit more frequently than a regular bowl, and lastly once they figure it out feeding time can still be less than 2 minutes , but hey it's better than 10 seconds.
Love this slow feeder! I have a German shepherd puppy that was inhaling her food. I needed to find a way to slow down her eating so she would not get bloat. This feeder solved the problem. She now eats way more slowly, and I think she actually enjoys getting the kibble out of the grooves. The bowl has a non skid bottom so it stays in place while she eats. Great product for fast eaters.
Our Dachshund (vraats like a freight train!) eats so fast! This bowl slows her down and makes feeding time much calmer. I like the busy pattern of the purple bowl because it takes longer for her to get to all the bits of food and lick out all the gravy! Bowl goes into dishwasher and we are ready for the next meal.
I got the large purple slow feeder for 4 cups.my dog loves this bowl. The problem is he now requires more food and it does not fit 4 cups of food. It fits 3 cups nicely and everything else is just piled on top. I bought the large orange one on Amazon as we now have 2 NewSheps and the orange one is obviously bigger, as it has higher walls (more depth). Once my younger puppy gets to about 7 months and 100lbs we're probably going to get the neater eater instead because they'll both need to eat about 2-4 cups 3 times a day.
