I was in two minds about buying this at first, because I am really attached to the usual 'Just add milk' version of Ovaltine, but I've been trying to find healthier options of my usual comfort foods and drinks, and decided it was finally time to simply bite the bullet and try this 'Just add water' version.I am so incredibly glad I finally did, and I honestly wish I'd tried it sooner. This version lacks absolutely nothing. It is rich and delicious and so, so comforting. I've tried it as-is with just water, and I've also tried it with a dash of soya milk, and it is absolutely fantastic both ways. I am impressed and delighted. I will be switching completely over to this water version completely once I've finished my jar of the milk version.

Hubbies favourite. He's been having it for years now. I prefer the normal Ovaltine. I usually buy 6-packs when it's 25% reduced. Usually cheaper than Amazon.

My son and I love Ovaltine but our local shop has stopped selling the Ovaltine add water. Other shops do the 'add Milk' variety but not the one we love. I know where to go now to get.more. Very happy.
I have used Ovaltine for a while now. Just love the flavour, I use it late evening and certainly doesn’t stop me getting to sleep. I will continue to use it of course and I always make sure that I don’t run out of it.
It is a lovely drink, and unlike some hot chocolate-style drinks where you add water, this one does not end up with lumps floating on the top, it is smooth and tasty. I bought 4 jars and I will definitely buy again.
This used to be a lovely night time drink until recently. The packaging has changed and the drink is now really horrible. What on earth are you doing? You have ruined a near perfect bedtime drink!
I have known Ovaltine since the early fifties when my mother explained to me the benefits of "Malt" contained drinks. It was always a special luxury back then but we would enjoy and appreciate it every time we could afford to purchase it. Now in my mid seventies we can afford to enjoy it even more on a regular basis and have the added bonus of fond memories of our family, friends and neighbours and the same healthy taste of this famous night time drink.
Memories of my childhood having a hot drink at bedtime, but this is a bit healthier. I do add a dash of milk sometimes. You can tell the difference between the lighter version and the original but for those wanting a healthy version this is perfect.
Lovely comforting hot beverage. Great for colder nights and helps me with stress and insomnia. Much nicer than other drinks of its kind, and unlike hot chocolate it dissolves completely and easily in hot water, no lumps at all. The flavour is sweet without being cloying or overpowering. Very malty like Maltesers, with a faint hint of chocolate. The added vitamins and minerals are a bonus.
