Fun for a few hours but starts to get old. First game is alright and the second one is okay at first but quickly starts to get annoying. It’s like at some point in the middle of the second game, the developers think annoying obstacles are what makes a game fun and challenging. No, these make you want to stop playing the game entirely and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Don’t bother with just singleplayer and eventually with co-op too, unless you play on easy. There’s also a problem with weird input lag that is infuriating at times in a game like this where you’re in a rush.Best played with three or four people.

I loved Overcooked 2, and was hoping this game had more to it. But this game is just Overcooked 1 and 2 on the same cartridge, with all the added extra maps and cook skins. I've already played all of Overcooked 2 + the extra maps, so I tried playing the first Overcooked, but it is harder to play and not as fun. I kind of wish I didn't buy this game. It didn't even load my saved data from Overcooked 2 onto this new game, so I had to start from scratch. If you've never played Overcooked 1 or 2, I recommend getting this game, it's the price of one game but you get both! If you've played one or both, don't get it, it doesn't have anything extra. I think I'll end up reselling this if I can get a profit, or give it as a gift to someone.

Couch Co-Op Completely Broken for Series X/S

I played both Overcooked games during the last generation and had an absolute blast. The gameplay is best experienced with your friends and family while yelling at each other to "get out of the way." This series is one of the best party/couch co-op games available anywhere. Unfortunately, there's a bug that makes the couch co-op completely unplayable on the Xbox Series X/S - which is the whole point of these games. You cannot use multiple controllers with multiple XBox profiles - the game just simply won't let you add multiple players with correct controller assignments. If you somehow get lucky enough to get your entire party in (we've experienced problems with both 2 and 3 players), the game will crash back to the main menu anytime an achievement pops. Judging by the support articles I've seen, they've known about this issue since launch and have done nothing to fix it. I love this series, but I can't recommend anyone buy this compilation (for Series X) until the developers fix these issues. If you're planning on just playing yourself...everything seems to function as intended. But all of the joy of couch co-op is completely missing.

Fun but needs work
4 April 2021

I’m a big fan of the Overcooked series, having played through Overcooked and Overcooked! 2 a couple of times now. This copy of Overcooked entails Overcooked, Overcooked! 2, seven new stages, better graphics, and the ability to play cross platform, however, there are several glitches and bugs that need to be fixed. (Sometimes gameplay is smoother cross platform than connecting to another Switch session, which makes no sense.)The most redeeming factor of the game is being able to play Overcooked with online friends (previously this was only possible locally or on parsec for steam).

Fun by yourself, even better with a friend!
29 June 2021

Overcooked is just too much fun. You can play it alone or with friends in a variety of combinations. It's just a good wholesome fun game to play. The controls are simple and intuitive but the game play doesn't get stale and gradually becomes more challenging. Some of these levels are pretty difficult and require some serious teamwork!

Great family fun, exciting and easy to compete with one another
13 December 2021

Good Game, exhilarating fun and my wife and sister both love it incredibly. Graphics and gameplay is great, only down side is learning the controls what exactly to do. Quick watch of the Youtube tutorials and is brought us up to speed, which does help as we all want to progress with the game of course. Once you do know the controls it is easy to enjoy the gameplay seamlessly and spend hours on the game.

Great game for the whole family to play.
19 June 2021

Great game for the whole family to enjoy. Takes a little hand - eye coordination but with practice it gets better and fun. There are several modes to set the game in so you can practice preparing the different dishes without too much pressure to beat the clock. I think it teaches kids that teamwork is the best way to accomplish your goals. By working together its the only way to get the food orders prepared on time. This version has the other previous versions of the game included.

Hard pass if you own Overcooked 1 & 2
4 April 2021

If you own the previous 2 games and the DLCs, it’s really not worth buying this game for just the extra content (Ever Peckish Rising), which is only 7 stages. I don’t really care for updated graphics, because let’s be real, the game is too chaotic for anyone to notice ooooh the tomatoes look prettier that before. It doesn’t really add to the gameplay experience. The loading times are still horrendous compared to Steam/Xbox. There are some levels that are very glitchy. (Ex: In Ever Peckish Rising 2-2, after falling off the stage, the cooking progress bar would sometimes disappear and you can’t pick up stuff. This continued to happen even after restarting the level...and restarting the Switch).AYCE might be worth getting if you don’t already own the previous 2 ... MoreIf you own the previous 2 games and the DLCs, it’s really not worth buying this game for just the extra content (Ever Peckish Rising), which is only 7 stages. Must get Overcooked compilation with all DLCs !
14 December 2021

A collection of both Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2 games with all corresponding DLC in one package. New features include cross play across other platforms, enhanced graphical upgrades ( as compared to the original games ) and updated control schemes for the first Overcooked game ( e.g., ability to run and throw which were mechanics added to Overcooked 2 )

You get all of the content from both the first two Overcooked! games, while getting a spiffy graphical upgrade and smoother performance! I found the soundtrack catchy, and the accessibility options deserve a special mention, as well. Those who have bought any Overcooked! games before may very well feel a bit hard done, though, as they don't get the graphic/performance updates nor the new free DLC this game got. Also, going for the top ratings on the levels can be pretty tense, so someone may end up unleashing their inner Gordon Ramsay in the heat of battle! All in all, this is the king of the co-operative multiplayer genre and highly recommended!
