Cap broke and couldn’t even get the proper replacement
I was extremely excited and intrigued by Owala bottles, but couldn’t justify shelling out $30 for a small water bottle when there wasn’t a colorway I loved. Then after months of debating, the DICK’s special colors came out and I loved the Spring Fling color, so I immediately hopped on it! I also bought my husband one in another color. In comparison, my cap was significantly more difficult to close- it’s like the spring in the cap was stiff and fought against the push of the cap. But it was still functional and I didn’t think it was so bad… until one day after only a month, when I pressed the button to open the lid, the spring somehow jumped ejected and the open button also flew off. When I tried to utilize the limited warranty, my claim was estimated to be replied ... My claim wasn’t reviewed until I checked in myself 4 weeks later, only to be given a gift card to purchase a new lid from the website. All of the lids were sold out except the completely white and completely black color. I joined the restock waitlist for a few different colors, but there wasn’t even an option to get a replacement for my specific colorway, which completely defeats the purpose of me getting a bottle in the first place.TLDR; getting the bottle was a disappointment from start to finish. Lid came slightly dysfunctional and broke within a month or so of use, had to wait another month for claim to be acknowledged, and had to wait even longer just to get a cap that had some kind of color that doesn’t even match my originally desired color way.A solution for the warranty process would be to send the exact replacement of the broken item instead of making us purchase a replacement of the broken part.I would not recommend this product to anyone and am disappointed in the warranty process.... doubled water intake because of Owala FreeSip
Hands down best water bottle and I’ve tried them all. I now own 3 of these Owala FreeSip water bottles and I use them every day. If the goal is to drink more water then this is the water bottle that will make that happen. Because the sip is has a wide mouth/opening and a thick straw inside the bottle, it’s super easy to drink 2 or 3 of these just at work alone. Every time I see someone with one of these bottles, I ask them how it’s affected their water intake and I get the same super enthusiastic answer from them: It’s doubled or tripled their water intake. Excellent quality, super cute, but most of all it fulfills its mission: to get more water intake which improves health. this 24 of oz bottle fits in my car console cup holder as well as the door cupholder—the ... Love Owalas but this one broke/was defective
I am a huge Owala stan so much so that after buying my first one for myself I bought 3 of my friends them for their birthdays. I specifically love the straw shape & how you can drink in two different ways, the sanitary lid, lockable feature, and how you can use the handle to hold or clip on to a caribiner/fanny pack/bag/etc. for on the go. This specific 24 once one happened to be the first one I've bought that broke/has had any problems, not sure if it's from washing it in the dishwasher or what but I believe these do say they are dishwasher safe. The spring bring and would not stay closed, luckily it was within 30 days or whatever so Dicks did refund me. However now my boyfriend is skeptical about getting another and wants to look at other water bottle options. I ... However now my boyfriend is skeptical about getting another and wants to look at other water bottle options. I am still a huge Owala lover though!Cons I will say though: the boot is protective but makes it hard to but in backpack pockets, cupholders, etc... Without a boot, it dents. I have the white color and it can get dirty easily, top lid can be hard to get fully clean. Expensive although similarly priced to other water bottles... Show more

my favorite water bottle
so far, i’m SUPER thrilled with this bottle. i’ve taken it on two road trips now & use it daily by my bedside & desk, and it’s been really great. for one of those trips, the bottom didn’t fit in the cupholder so, as per an official owala tiktok’s suggestion, i put it in upside down. it not only fit, but didn’t spill at all! additionally, i left it in car in the summer evening/night while i went to a concert and came back to my water still being perfectly chilled. plus, i find the carrying handle comfortable enough to hold & have even been able to temporarily hang it places like one of those hotel luggage carts. going from a cheap amazon water bottle to this, it was a bit hard up front to shell out the money but considering the sheer cost per use of this, it’ll ... My Favorite Waterbottle!
This is my 4th Owala in about 3 years— they are fantastic! I have lost one, have a larger size, and had one “stolen” (left it at an aunt’s for awhile and she tried it, loved it so much I couldn’t take it back), and now this one! I chose this 16oz size so that it would be easier to do light daily activities with. The bottle insulates ice for over 24hrs, you can do hot as well, but I haven’t ever tried that. It truly does not spill as long as it is closed all the way. My favorite part is the mouthpiece tech, it is a spout out of which you can drink (as you would a cup) and simultaneously a really comfortable straw as it is curved and cradles your bottom lip! It has a cover so the mouthpiece stays entirely covered (and clean) when you don’t have it open to use along ... MoreThis is my 4th Owala in about 3 years— they are fantastic! The bottle opens with one hand (a button). I highly recommend these bottles to everyone who asks! Enjoy!... Show more

not all it’s cracked up to be
short explanation: opens slowly, sometimes not at all. gets dirty quickly and easily and that dirt is hard to clean off. ice melts pretty quickly but it is still cold even with the melted ice.longer explaination: i bought this water bottle a bit over a month ago. it was good at first, i enjoyed drinking from it. i liked the cute colors of the bottle, the dual sip feature, and how there was a cover to the straw because i hate when my straws are exposed to the public air.as time went on, the owala stopped opening as fast when i pushed the button. sometimes the lid wouldn’t open at all and i would have to push it up myself. so i took a star off for that aspect. this happened like 2.5 weeks into using the bottle.also, the owala gets very dirty very quickly and ... Poor quality
Cute bottle but awful quality. The lid cracked within 2 weeks of using it. (Like so many other reviewers so clearly this is an ongoing issue.) I reached out to customer service and they won’t even send me a replacement top and instead said I can purchase it since it’s not covered under warranty from a fall. We have had several other brand water bottles over the years that have been through repeated drops but have never had anything crack like this until we got Owala. The only reason we switched to this brand is because it’s “trending” and it’s what my kids wanted. Unfortunately this brand does not compare in quality to Stanley, hydro flask and all the other water bottles collecting in our cabinets that will probably actually last a lifetime. Poor quality and customer service—won’t stand behind warranty
Save yourself the money—not only is this not worth the $30+ dollars, the company also refuses to stand by its “lifetime warranty.” We purchased this water bottle to be used in a classroom setting. We used it for less than a week and the top holder (which holds on the lid) snapped off. It wasn’t dropped or used inappropriately—which the company sited as being the reason behind this manufacturer malfunction. Not the fact that this is just cheaply made. Their support team is a joke. So, if you’re looking at this because you think it’s high quality and that the company will stand behind the product, you should go elsewhere. I have had better customer service at Target and Walmart. We will never be using this company again and I encourage you to do the same—unless you’re ... The best bottle for everyday use and especially for new moms!
I love the Owala Free Sip stainless steel bottle. I own 4 of them (they have so many colorful combinations), my son has 2, my daughter has one as well. I’m a nurse and have recommended it to all of my coworkers and new moms. Most of my coworkers have bought one because of how highly I speak of this water bottle. I also gift it to all my expecting mom friends. My #1 most favorite thing about it is that you can carry it, open, drink and close it with one hand. Just flip the handle lock, press the button to open the top, sip, and close all with one hand. Definitely useful when you’re breastfeeding, holding a baby, or busy at work. The last thing I love is that the drink spout is not exposed, you don’t need an additional straw top to cover the straw/spout it’s protected and safe when you close it. It’s also super easy to clean, my whole hand fits in the tumbler so I don’t need a bottle brush (but I do have one for when I want a real super soapy clean. You have to try this bottle, I have a 24oz, 32oz, and 40oz bottle. The 40oz is my favorite since it really helps me stick to my water goal of 80oz per day.... Show more
