I stuff this Bungalow full of hay and our free-roaming bunny loves eating his fresh hay right out of it. It's low to the ground so he doesn't have to stretch or reach to get hay and is very comfortable eating. We have this full of hay for him everyday and the other place he eats lots of hay is in his litter box. We put a thin layer of paper pellets in the bottom of the litterbox then fill it up the rest of the way with hay. This is how we potty trained him in ONE day. Bunnies love eating hay, while they go to the bathroom in their litter box.So, our bunny loves having two places to go to for hay. He is so smart, a ton of fun and freely roams our house with our 3 dogs. He's very independent, super clean from meticulously grooming himself and such a joy to our family.I'm glad I found this item for him to enjoy his hay in.

Oxbow does it again! I purchased the Large Timothy Bungalow and upon unpacking I was so impressed by the thickness of the weaved construction, the soft fresh light green hay and immediately noticed the incredibly fresh smell of hay!I bought this hoping I could find a nice natural hide away for my bun that he would actually take to (instead of my furniture). He immediately investigated it upon introduction and within a couple minutes he was hiding in it. It now has become his favorite place to be. I was sold on the fact that this also had a "bottom" so any territorial droppings my bun might leave in here can easily be dumped out later instead of being on my floor.I will certainly be purchasing this again (he hasn't quite decided he wants to eat it yet, so we'll ... MoreOxbow does it again! This bungalow is huge for him; could easily fit 2-3 of him in it. I could see smaller/medium rabbits 5 lbs and under really enjoying it! No doubt the quality is unsurpassed!

My Guinea PIg ate her last "Bungalow"...I bought numerous smaller ones that she ate/destroyed. This one does the trick. She sleeps soundly in this Bungalow. They are a bit expensive, but much stronger.

My Chinchilla freaking loves the Oxbow Timothy Club Bungalow in Medium! I think that the medium size is the perfect size for one Chinchilla the large size would probably be too big.I always have one of these in his cage for him to destroy and to help prevent him from getting bored. It is hilarious to see all the ways that he likes to renovate the bungalow like chewing another opening/”door” on the side so he can go directly from the bungalow to his wheel. I do recommend checking the bungalow often to see if it is soiled and in need of replacement.I have easily purchased well over fifty of these for him over years. It is always cheaper online so I always get it price matched to the online price when buying in store, it says me so much money!
This is the perfect size for a small rabbit/guinea pig/chinchilla. My rabbit loves that he has a place to hide but that he can also chew while he's in there. When taken out of the package, the hideout didn't fall apart or have dust. Very well braided and put together.
I was a little concerned my rabbits wouldn't fit but I bought the biggest size and it worked I would not recommend smaller for rabbits. I have two lionheads one weighs 3.4lbs and the other 4lbs, so small rabbits. Only one can fit at a time and my girl usually hogs it. I just wish it was a tunnel as opposed to bungalow, as rabbits like two exits but they love it. It gets quite messy after awhile after they eat the middle floor but they still like going inside. I also wish they had an organic version but I give it 5 stars. They sit snug as a bug in a rug, in it; and have just enough room to turn around. It's their favorite hiding place when I'm cleaning.
I love the idea of an edible hide-out, and my bunny Blackberry chews on it sometimes, but the problem is that he can just barely fit inside. He never goes in there because he doesn't have enough room to turn around, and is squished. He's only five months old, and I got the large size for him, but he still doesn't really fit. I'd recommend this product for rats and chinchillas and guinea pigs, but not really for rabbits. I think Oxbow should make a larger version that better fits rabbits.
Normally this bungalow is great. This time, however, it wasn’t crafted with a flat or flattish bottom. It’s just round & won’t sit flat. This might seem amusing but I have usually bought these for infirmed and/or geriatric buns where they can squirrel away and rest inside atop a special heating unit. This thing rolled around & trapped an infirmed bunny in such a way that he couldn’t use his arthritic arms to extricate himself. Not good. Very disappointed, Oxbow
I got this for my five-month-old bunny Blackberry, since I loved the idea of an edible hide-out. Three months ago he could fit in it, but now he is nearly full-grown and can barely turn around in it. He does not use it because it is too small. Nor have I seen him chew on it, perhaps because he never uses it. I wish Oxbow would make an extra-large that rabbits could fit more comfortably in. Great for guinea pigs, rats and chinchillas, though!
I love the idea of an edible hide-out, and got the largest size for my bunny Blackberry. Despite the fact that I got the largest size, and despite the fact that he is only five months old, he barely fits in it, and because of that never goes inside it. He also rarely chews on it. Great for guinea pigs, rats and chinchillas, but maybe not for rabbits. I wish Oxbow would make a larger version that rabbits could actually fit in!
