This mixing bowl set is definitely an improvement from other sets that I owned. I previously used a ceramic set and what makes this set different is the base and the lip / spout for easy pouring. The non slip base stabilized the bow during vigorous mixing. This makes whatever you are blending a whole lot easier. Once finish, your mixture pours out smoothly because of the wide lip. As with most bowls, this set is dishwasher save which makes cleaning a breeze. I found having 3 sizes allows me the flexibility to cook / bake / prepare several dishes without having to rinse. This set is great for salads, baked goods, and defrosting frozen proteins.

I've been looking for non-slip bowls for a while to use while cooking with my 3yo. OXO Good Grips mixing bowls are perfect for it!It's truly non-slip on the bottom, so no bowls go flying when trying to mix. The largest 5qt size is great for using with a hand mixer so your dry ingredients don't go flying everywhere.My favorite feature of all, which I didn't even notice, is the grippy handle. My 3yo can hold the handle and mix with the biggest bowl to keep it stable. It's genius! So much easier for him!Other great uses that OXO fails to mention in the product description: great pretend astronaut helmets and awesome for pretend food prep.

These bowls are great. They come in 1.5 qt, 3 qt and 5 qt sizes, which for me are the most used sizes. They are made of hard plastic, with different colored rims and bases depending on their capacity.They are easy to hold and clean. They have a rubberized base, so they don't slip on the countertop while mixing. As for cleaning, just toss them in the top shelf of the dishwasher.I haven't had any problems with staining or cracking yet. They are very well made and light. As I stated earlier, these are my most used sizes. So you don't have to buy any sets of bowls with unneeded sizes taking up space in your cupboard.I would definitely get these again or tell someone to gets these bowls.
I saw these mixing bowls on a youtube video and decided to get them after deciding against glass bowls. These are so much better than I expected! They are bottom-heavy, so they are sturdy when mixing. They have a rubber bottom, so they don't slide around the counter, ever. The pour spout makes such a big difference-- that's probably the best thing about it, actually. They also have a huge advantage over glass bowls because they are so light-weight. When pouring batter with one hand (and a rubber spatula in the other), it's nice to save some weight. OXO seems to do everything right.
We've been having to replace absolutely everything in our kitchen due to a house fire. It's an unbelievably expensive room to redo from start to finish, but I've been determined to only go with good quality brands, even if it means having to save a bit before buying. Oxo is always high quality, but definitely not the cheapest brand you can go with. I'm glad I waited, though. These are sturdy, go well with any decor, and have the handles that are absolutely essential for me in mixing bowls (without them, it's just too hard to control a bowl while trying to spatula out the batter that's attached to sides & bottom). Blueberry muffins coming right up!
I have seen these for awhile now. I already had mixing bowls, so it wasn't a priority for me. But then one day...I bought them! I cannot emphasize enough how I should have gotten these a long time ago, they are sturdy, the base is amazing and clean up is easy! They just feel good and I look forward to using these when I am needing a mixing bowl. If you're looking at these, I can assure you, you will love them!
I absolutely love these, definitely the best set I’ve ever had. The sizes cover just about anything you’d need. I love that they don’t slide around and that’s especially useful when the kids are mixing things because they have a hard time holding the bowl and stirring at the same time. My only complaint is that they stained pretty easily for me despite cleaning them immediately, but I still have to give five stars because of how great they are.
