Great for my evening Scotch on the rocks. Big enough to have two glasses without having to revisit the freezer. Keeps the integrity of the scotch (not diluted so much) due to its larger size, ie larger volume to surface area means less water more chill and more flavour.Down size - the silicon doesn’t have large gaps/space, so it freezes into a large block that is impossible to shake out like the old-school harder plastic style. Needs to be sat in the sink with water (warm not hot less it melts ! ) for a minute or two to help remove a cube.Takes a lot longer to freeze too. More than 12 hours.Good overall if you like a dram

This tray is perfect for making large ice cubes filled with fruit. It was the perfect size for putting them in a beverage dispenser and stayed frozen for a very long time. I love that it sits in a tray and has a cover to keep the ice fresh.

Best Ice Cubes Ever

I am so happy with this product should have bought it long ago. I like that they are big ice cubes so they don't melt fast and ruin your drink, I like that they are covered, easy to fill & walk to freezer without spilling and once in freezer don't worry about spills or other items on top. Easy to run a little warm water on bottom of silicone mold to get cubes out, I put them in a ziplock bag. Haven't used my traditional ice cube trays since buying this.

Very large ice cubes - exactly what I was after. Only thing is I wish I had more glasses that could actually fit them so I could fill one up. They work well in my cider glass though and I bought 2 trays so will always have a supply!

Ice cubes hard to get out

Our ice maker died, I thought these trays would be a good alternative. It is really hard to get the ice cubes out of the silicone tray. Don't fill very full -- getting ice cubes for a drink should NOT be so difficult. And if you just want one cube -- its even a harder struggle. I'd find something easier.

OXO Covered Large Ice Cube Tray

There isn't much selection as far as ice cube trays go, but these are the best I've come across. Although a bit pricey, they do the job well. The "holder" is a great improvement as the silicone tray alone are hard to maneuver when filled with water - they bend and twist. I like the fact that the cover protects the cubes from absorbing random smells. If ice forms on the lids, you can just run it under water and the lid will easily pop off. The silicone trays are easily removed from the bottom holder for dispensing the cubes. I find if you "bend the" different divider sections on the sink edge, the ice cubes are released from the tray and are easily extracted by pushing with your thumb/fingers. OXO Good Grips covered large cube silicone tray

We purchased 2 of these large cube trays and 1 of the small cube trays. My husband loves how easy it is to fill these without spilling. The sturdy frame and cover keeps everything nice and neat and clean. I do need to remove the silicone to wrestle slightly to get the first cube out and I am sure if I was having a really difficult time I would just run a little water over the bottom. I haven't needed to do that yet.

Perfect size for freezing spaghetti sauce

I like the larger cube size for freezing bigger amounts of things. We freeze spaghetti sauce and baby food and when washed the material does not stain or retain smells, which is great!

The size is genious.

The cubes are great for tall or lowball glasses but 3 more cool things; The tray fits so nicely in our travel trailer freezer with room to spare. And at home we use a water cooler & they’re a cinch to fill. Lastly, the cover keeps them fresh.

too hard to remove cubes

nice case with bottom support and lid make it easy to fill and carry without worrying about spilling, and it can be stacked. But it takes more effort than it should to remove the cubes. Sure, if you have a sink or pot with an inch of water in it, just place the opened tray in it for a few minutes but who wants to have to do that? I add a bit of water in the bottom of the ice tray, then replace the silicone cube tray in it while i empty another tray first. by that time it is a little easier to remove them. The Big Red silicone tray is ridiculously easy to empty but it cant be stacked, so i put an Oxo in between two Big Reds as a stack.
