The head of the duster is nice and fluffy, picking up dust and cobwebs well. However, the dust is quite hard to clean off the head. The head cover is quite hard to remove until you realise that the clip has to be pushed from behind. The head which the duster slides onto could perhaps do with more padding underneath as it is quite hard making it not so good for dusting more delicate surfaces.The duster head angles nicely making it useful for all sorts of awkward angles and corners. If it is put to 90• the plastic joint bangs on the surface you are cleaning.The handle length is ok but could do with a few extra inches for high ceilings in our old house.Overall it is a useful duster as the angled head stays in position well in comparison to others I have had.

Excellent DusterI just love this duster for getting into those difficult nooks and crannies around the house and for reaching high ceilings and corners. The angling mechanism means dusting skirting boards (including those behind the sofas), curtain rails, radiators, lights, Venitian blinds, tops of cupboards to name but a few, is an absolute breeze. The heads (I've got the small one as well) can be taken off and thrown in the washer. Cleaning feels a lot easier and faster especially as there is very little bending which is better for my back. Best duster I have ever bought!

So far I like this duster. It makes reaching my ceiling fan and ceiling corners a breeze. My only complaint is that there are no directions and the sticker that’s on the pole to indicate how to lock the duster into the extended position is wrong. It merely says “twist to extend.” It should say, “Extend. Twist extended portion counter clockwise to lock into place.” (I almost returned mine because I thought it was defective.). So, great duster! Not great directions. I liked mine enough to buy a replacement head so I can switch them out between cleanings. That part is super easy and works well.

It was stiff, cumbersome and it did not last long.Decided to splash out and buy this from John Lewis. More than four times the price but so worth the additional expense.Lightweight and telescopic handle which allows the user to reach ceilings and picture rails. The head is slim so the duster easily fixed down the back of radiators, and between double radiators.The head can be angled to reach on top of cupboards or difficult nooks and crannies. This would be an excellent product if the designer hadn’t fallen asleep. The duster head can be moved to a horizontal position using a mechanism that locks it into place using a press button. The extendable two piece pole on the other hand is useless. The two parts are supposed to be twisted “20-30 times” in opposing directions to lock it into an extended position. I twisted them about 50-60 times, as did my husband-still loose and actually dangerous if the user attempts to dust something overhead. I am very disappointed. Oxo makes very good reasonably priced kitchen tools and gadgets, but this duster is a piece of garbage.
This is part of the Oxo Good Grips range, so good quality. It is a flat shape, good for getting into narrow areas to clean. The duster head is used on other Oxo products, and comes off for easy cleaning. The tufts are microfibre so good at picking up and retaining dust. Feels good in the hand as well, balance is good. Recommend.
I bought this to try to stay ahead of the many cobwebs that seem to inhabit every corner of every room. I chose this particular extendable duster because the duster head was detachable and I could keep clean by popping into my washing machine.But there is a huge problem with this duster. When you extend it does not have the ability to lock into place. There is no mechanism to make that happen. So when you extend and go for those corners, it just goes back to the shorter length. The length will not stay in place. In other words, not at all fit for purpose.I am returning in great frustration. Seems to me that the concept of lock at the length you need you be a basic in extendable duster product design. Epic fail.
So far, I like this extendable duster. It took me a minute to figure out how to lock the duster into its extended position. You must extend and then twist the top section counterclockwise while twisting the bottom section in the opposite direction. Do the reverse to loosen. I was able to easily snap off microfiber head to wash in washing machine on cold and I let the head air dry. It fit back on the pole and worked well after being laundered. What I really like about this is that it reached my ceiling fan, crown molding, and “cobweb” corners easily.
First use - clean the pollen off the car dashboard and Wow a few swipes and gone! Spoke of the accumulation outside the car and ready to go, Furniture, top of the refrigerator, blinds, ledges on cabinet doors, window sills, door panels.....endless and so easy to clean accumulated dust on the mop. Best ever cleaning tool and my Mother would be so proud of me. Thanks Container Store!
Checked the ratings before purchase and noted comments that the duster head is not as flexible as some. However it locks in a couple of positions and works well for me. Particularly good for high up 'out of sight' surfaces. Duster is 'full' and effective. Haven't tried to wash it yet - will probably just make sure the dust is shaken off rather than risk washing. Happy with purchase.
