OXO Good Grips Pop Jar Medium - 2.8L

Biscuits and cookie. I have never really had anywhere to live in our house apart from the packet that theyre in. So after a long time having the annoyance of soggy biscuits decided to purchase the Good Grips pop cookie jar. It arrive well packaged and quickly. The pop jars are a novel idea if a rather expensive one. The idea is that the lid has a special seal on it and a button in the middle. Simply fill the jar up and then press the button to create a vacuum in the jar which ensures that crisps, biscuits, cereal etc doesnt go soft. It works really well, and when you wish to open the jar you just press the button and the lid removes very easily.

Love this though seemed expensive. It holds plenty of biscuits cookies Its tough clear plastic my dogs tail as knocked it off coffee table a few times and no damage. Contents stay fresh for weeks as its fully sealed. Easy for a small child to open as its button press.Just adding this as considering someone with poor grip for jar opening will easily open products in this range with large button Like arthritis

After many years of purchasing jars that claimed to be air tight but werent, I was beginning to get fed up. Then i stumbled across this range and purchased the cookie jar. Ive owned this now for around 4 months and it is absolutely fabulous Air tight, easy to clean, and an attractive cookie jar It holds lots of biscuits and looks lovely in our kitchen. Theres nothing I dislike about it, I cannot wait to order more from this range Yes they are a bit pricey but absolutely worth it dont hesitate, buy today you won t regret it

Wanted a nice countertop cookie jar to go with my newly remodeled kitchen…looks sharp. Cookies stay fresh. The jar is clean looking. The pop up lid works great, I also like the footing- they grip. Very nice looking functional must have.

We normally love OXO products, have many in the kitchen. And this seemed perfect for ageing relatives who would struggle with regular containers. However, in the title and description, it is referred to as a cookie jar. And all cookie or other jars I own or know of are glass. This is plastic Why is that a problem 1. Its feels cheap. 2. Its way overpriced for a plastic item. 3. Most importantly, its too light, so even with tea bags etc inside, when one pulls the lid off when unpopped, the jar moves across the surface, risking it falling off the edge, and then sliding backwards despite rubber feet when reclosing. I bought our first one delivered today as a test, before ordering more. We have no problem with the plastic lid mechanism.Be grateful of Amazon or OXO can notify me when a glass version is available.

Great quality product as we have come to expect from OXO. Sturdy plastic storage with a lid that uses air tight suction to securely close when you press the middle button. Great if you struggle with screw top lids and this feature is strangely satisfying Holds a good few packets of biscuits about 5 or 6 depending on sort. Keeps the biscuits beautifully fresh and is really light to pick up and take to any guests if you feel like sharing. Easy to clean and looks stylish wherever you choose to place it.

I do think that OXO makes excellent products. I always felt that these sealed well and for short term storage they do. I do not know if this was a one timeone container issue, but I put a sealed container in the refrigerator for about 4 days. When I went to use it, it was obvious that there had been some small air leak. I would just be aware and check any food that may be sensitive to air leaks. This possibility is the only reason that I would not recommend this particular product.

OXO is the best, really does live up to its name in my opinion. This is just the right size for cookies. I even use to keep my dog's biscuits fresh longer. I bought 2. Super happy with this purchase.

Thin plastic

I ordered this online and was surprised how thin and cheap the plastic container is. Not very sturdy and Was disappointed because I thought OXO was a good brand. The pop top is nice but not worth the price. Wish I had seen in person first.

good container

I bought this for my mom. She was actually looking for the glass jars that were like a canister set but the openings were on the front side somewhat as the jar canister leaned sort of. Anyways we had not been able ti find them. She needed something for Moo Moo coffee creamers to sit in with easy access. This works for her. It is plastic but sturdy and the lid works great for now. The price was great and she is happy so I am happy.
