OXO Good Grips - Squeegee Stainless Steel

In an attempt to minimize water staining on our glass shower door, I needed something to wipe the leftovers away. Used a cheapy one from a local shop but it was, pants. So this one was far more expensive but came with a suckcup to keep it on the wall. It was a bit of a tricky sausage to get to stick. I would walk away thinking I had it only to hear an almighty crash from upstairs 15 minutes later when it had come unstuck. Some harsh words, some reluctant licking of the pad and some excessive pressure and that seemed to do the trick. Wipes well, remains on the wall and is of a very nice quality. I feel strangely upperclass wielding it, naked, wiping the dregs of my shower off the doors.

After installing a new bathroom around two years ago we decided to try removing the water from tiles and glass after each use to minimise the the scale left behind when the water evaporates. The rotatable soft rubber hook is handy for storage too.

Disappointed with the quality

I wanted to replace two squeegees I had for several years with new ones. I decided to buy the exact brand again, but was very disappointed. Neither one of the blades is even and consequently when I try cleaning the shower and door, I have to press very hard in order to wipe away the water. My old ones worked better.

Great tool

Works great and is a very good size. The holder doesn't adhere to the shower wall, but...I didn't plan on storing it in the shower anyway. It is the perfect size for the panes in my doors but works good on larger windows too. The handle is perfect for a hand and the short stem makes it very easy to glide across the glass. I highly recommend.

It would be better iiiiiiiiiif.......

the blade was LONGER.SERIOUSLY OXO???? Many of us have micro-seconds (slight stretch) to shower before leaving the house.... so whyyyyyy did you skimp on the length of the blade?? Oh and about your handles ... creating an "S" hook to hang the blade from a shower curtain rail or stall door would be helpful, because some of us do not have smooth walls or doors to mount your suction cups that ultimately fall off anyway."Would you recommend this product to friend? .... MEH". Don't get me wrong, it works ... but it would work much better (and faster) if improvements were made.I originally bought a cheaper brand, because of its blade length and only took THREE swipes per wall. It takes at least SIX swipes per wall using the OXO.

Not Great

Very disappointed in this item. I needed a new squeegee for our shower doors, and wanted to upgrade from the inexpensive rubber/plastic one we were using. I thought this OXO would be a great improvement, even at double the cost of the cheaper one. I was wrong. This does not do a clean wipe of the shower door, and I have to use my bath towel to wipe the water left behind after using the squeegee. Maybe this is better for a car window, I don't know, but don't waste your money on this thinking it is any better than the cheaper white plastic ones. I am normally a big fan of OXO products, just not this one.

Oxo Good Grips Stainless Steel Squeegee

This is a nice peeler easy comfortable grip, sharp blades. What it lacks, which the cheaper all metal ones have, is a tip to dig out potatoeyes. I miss that you must use a knife for that operation. Oxo makes good tools but missed making this a great tool. I would not buy another one.

Another great Oxo product. Little clip opens the tongs which can be used for multiple tasks. Great for turning greasy burgers or sausages. Plastic covered ends for easy cleaning and solidly made.

Sleek, attractive squeegee with suction cup

I purchased the Oxo Good Grips squeegee to clean our new bathroom shower. It does a fantastic job at wiping water off the walls (and windows and mirrors) to prevent spotting.The blade is soft and flexible to prevent scratching.The squeegee stores on the wall with a suction cup. Thats better than it laying on the floor! It's always in sight to remind me to use it.The comfortable rubber grip makes it very easy to hold onto when hands are wet.The black on the no rust stainless looks sleek and attractive.I am very satisfied with this squeegee and it is well worth the price.
