This worked very well. Love that it has a case that locks in and helps store it. It was super sharp. Also, I used the rounded edge as a spatula which helped cut down on dishes.

I love this knife. I Cook a lot, rarely eat out, and always cook everything when I'm at camp. originally I bought this specifically for camping, but I liked it so much that I bought a second one for home. It's nice and sharp. I love the santoku style knife, The cover stays secure with a little latch that is provided, and I like how small and lightweight it is

I bought this knife intending to use it for a camp set - the sheath seemed useful to me. However, it's very short and feels it - especially if you use a pinch grip, which cuts the usable blade down to 4-ish inches. Most of the weight felt like it was in the handle, too, which throws the balance off with a pinch grip given the relative length of the blade to handle. For about the same price, I replaced it with a 7" santoku and cover from a restaurant supply store, which worked better for me.

A perfect camp kitchen knife. If you can buy only one, get this one. It’s a good size-small and light enough for backpacking & camping, yet large enough for all the kitchen tasks. Comfortable and sharp, the sheath keeps the knife safe when not in use. OXO made a good product here.
This knife is just about perfect for your camp kitchen. It is well balanced and has a good "heft" for cutting. The wide blade and the height of the handle keep your knuckles from hitting the cutting board. As expected, it's nice and sharp. I have found my kids using this knife Instead of using our expensive chef knives in our at-home kitchen. This is strictly a car-camping or base camp utensil. Your not going to take this on your weeklong backing trip or mountaineering. Great product at a very reasonable price!
Great knife for outdoor cooking. It is made to be used outdoors, with a stainless-steel blade, and easy grip handle and sheath. It efficiently cuts all types of vegies and meat.We used it for the first time while visiting Zions National Park and will be sure to include with all future trips. The locking sheath makes it easy to pack and protects the blade. Recommend buying if you prepare any type of food while traveling.
Besides the locking sheath, this is a pretty standard mid-range prep knife. The locking sheath is handy for making sure you don't cut yourself rifling around in the camp-kitchen bin, but otherwise this is what it is. OXO didn't even really brand it differently than the stuff you can get at any major grocery store utensil aisle with the exception of adding the word "outdoor." If you were building a camp kitchen from a one-stop-shop at REI it would be a worthwhile purchase, but otherwise there's not a lot of value added to this line.
The knife performs as expected. It cuts well, although it is a bit light for any heavy use. The handle does not feel solid. I have been using this knife in my van "kitchen," and the sheath stays attached, which is nice for keeping the blade sharp and the knife easy to retrieve from the utensils storage box.
Knife blade is much thinner than any knife I have ever owned, but it only costs $20. Very flexible. Works well for easier to cut things, but harder to cut watermelon or carrots and the like. Prefer higher quality knives, but this may be good to travel with where I wouldn't be heartbroken if I left it behind.

For camping, it was a bit of overkill for my use, since I do pretty barebones camping, but I could definitely see it being useful for those camper camping or those who have more culinary skill than I do. I was a bit nervous about using such a large and sharp knife, but the locking mechanism and sheathe definitely put me more at ease. It cut through corn cobs, sliced watermelon, and got through some pretty tough raw chicken breasts. For myself, personally, as a 21 year old camper, it was a little overkill for camping, but great for everything else!
