First time using a router so i took the low risk approach and bought the Ozito. Honestly can't tell what would be different if I bought a medium-high end brand other than ergonomics, extra durability, and maybe some more accuracy on the guides. This Ozito though spins bits and it spins them fast. If it starts to strain then just move it slower.Attachments all work fine and are nice to have, variable speed is a nice feature, and there's plenty of plunge depth. Comes with a template attachment which is nice to attach and changing bits is pretty painless. From other reviews you'll probably want to be gentle with the power switch and it's worth setting it up with a vacuum (routers are dust generators).

Bought one yesterday and the variable speed control failed. I went back and got a replacement, unfortunately the same happened today with the replacement router. I think Ozito should have a look at this, as it could be s design flaw. I usually like Ozito, but I cannot recommend this router.

Was good. I hade to cut some grooves into some composite decking boards, and worked a charm. NB: Didn't come with router bits.
Ozito tools are a bit hit and miss. This one is definitely a miss.I bought one of these recently and have found it to be one of my worst powertool purchases. The power on/off switch is located away from where you place your hands to plunge down. This means when you want to turn the router off you have to take your hand off the unit while it's still operating. If you've just routed off the edge of the timber this means it's not very safe - you are left holding the router up in the air while it's active, and can't switch it off without removing one hand.In addition there's a gap in the guide rail. With the included guide-rail, if you are trying to make a groove that goes to the edge of the timber it's very hard to keep the router straight. With the included guide-rail, if you are trying to make a groove that goes to the edge of the timber it's very hard to keep the router straight. I found I had to discard the guide rail and use a straight edge, or to route prior to trimmbing.Overall I find this to be a bad tool and I regret getting it. I recommend buyers beware and find a router with an off switch at the handle, and a better guide rail.
I bought this to use with my Ozito router table, and while the router is itself is more than adequate, to use it with the table is difficult and requires much work just to get it set up correctly. Next to impossible to mount it centred and height adjustment is impossible without turning the whole table upside down and putting weight into it.
I have owned 4 of these. Why 4 you ask? Because they stop working (on average within 30 minutes of use). Light use in softwood is apparently too much for this sub-par router. I have other Ozito products, and most of these work well, however my current replacement Ozito router has just pooped itself (10 minutes this time) and I am not going to waste my time taking it back for yet another warranty swap.Pretty sure the fault is in the variable speed dial.
I used this router with a quality straight cut but to notch some jarrah posts to install fence rails. It cut out within 10 minutes of using. Probably would be fine with a softer wood but not suitable for hardwood. I returned and got a makita instead as I don’t have time to be going back to exchange another ozito
I use this in a sled for surfacing wood slabs, tonnes of power very surprising. Plenty of work to put it through it’s paces including hardwood end grain. Springs are heavy duty, a thumb control lever would be nice but all up can’t go wrong for the price
Look, as a furniture maker, I use a lot of different routers for a lot of different applications, and I would say that for a router which is ten times cheaper than my most expensive, it's pretty impressive. A little LOUD, and no fine height adjustment, but you can work around that, I've had it for three years and I love it.It reminds me of my very first little green handyman's router which I finally burnt out, which routed miles and miles of projects.
