I have run this mainly edging my lawn for about three months.Good points- heaps of power- batteries last agesBad points- only takes thin line so you will chew through it quicklyFatal flaws- Ineffective bump feed unless you bump it on hard ground( I've already gone through one spool doing that)- single sided feed means the head vibrates unbelievably badly, makes it as loud as a petrol powered one and really uncomfortable for any longer than a few minutes.- erganomics of the trigger mechanism are terrible (for me at least)

I've had my kit for 4 months or so now. I was tossing up between committing to one of the more premium brands and swapping out some other tools to match, but to be honest I've had a reasonable run from my PXC products around the home. This unit was better than expected we have a medium sized property and by the time I get around it I've still got enough battery power left in either battery to empty them both with the blower. Way easier to use and deal with over a previous Ryobi petrol line trimmer. Very happy.

I've had this for a couple of months so I've had the chance to use it several times now. For the most part I actually enjoy using it. I almost look forward to snipping now compared to stuffing around with the old 2 stroke one.It has enough power that it'll happily chew through most light to medium edging jobs, but it can struggle a bit if you charge to quickly into an overgrown area. For the most part though it's a non-issue.Battery life is fine, the included batteries will get you through an average sized yard in one go providing you keep on top of it and don't make it work too hard.I thought just having a single cutting line might be an issue as I'd never seen a trimmer do only one before, and having two would probably make some jobs a little easier, but I ... MoreI've had this for a couple of months so I've had the chance to use it several times now. Again it doesn't seem to be much of an issue unless you're really pushing it. I'm still on the first reel, but haven't checked to see how much is left yet.Honestly my biggest issue so far is the trigger. It seems to be in kind of an awkward position, needs a fair bit of force to keep it pressed in and IMO needs a bit more travel with less resistance, or a better shape to make it more ergonomic. My wrist gets very fatigued after a while due to both the position of my arm and the contant pressure needed on the trigger. Otherwise I do still like it so far and I will probably look into some diy methods of making it a bit easier to use if possible.

I own a Toro four-stroke mower. I own a Stihl two-stroke edger. Yes, they work well but fuel is becoming expensive. I bought an Ozito 18V mower and the Ozito 36V edger for my suburban block, and instantly fell in love with both machines. Lightweight and so easy to use. They complement and supplement a heap of other Ozito tools I’ve bought to supplement my Bosch cordless tools.Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, the best value tools on the market.
I am big fan of ozito products....i own 22 of them never had a problem or reason to complain....until now....this machine really is a piece of junk....i spend more time rethreading the line than i do using it....the bump system is useless...If you enjoy hassle free gardening as i do .....do NOT buy this productI purchased the twin battery mower at the same time ....and i love it ....wonderful product....shame i cant say the same about this trimmer.....i actually dread using it....a totally pain in the @#$%.
Just brought this cordless line trimmer, had to charge the batteries straight away and that took 1&HALF HOURS. Then when using trimmer it ran out of charge after HALF AN HOUR. Position of the trigger could be better placed as the hands and forearms ache after that short time. Not well balanced.
This line trimmer is strongly built and well made. However it is only suitable for light weight work and for short periods -# It only has a single trimming line, not two as is usual for a serious trimmer.# The drive-motor and the trimming spool form a single unit at the end held to the ground. Consequently the unit overall is very unbalanced and is tiring to use for lengthy times.
While I think a thicker line would be great, I was surprised by how well this product performed the task. The speed control is fantastic, I can easily trim around saplings, then go flat out to slice through tough weeds. It's light enough, and there's no temperamental smokey two-stroke engine, no mixing fuel, no frustrating pull start or priming procedure, that alone makes this a winner in my books. The bump feed has worked perfectly so far and I am surprised how long the line coil has lastedReally happy with it, yet another great Ozito family member.
Product has several issues. No. 1 is the fact that the line cord at 2mm is useless, It constantly breaks when doing my front gutter for example. Just can't handle hitting concrete. No. 2 is the bump feed feature is flimsy and before too long the plastic wears away to nothing. So can't bump feed. No. 3 and this is probably my doing but using 2x2amp hour batteries it runs out of steam fairly quickly
Bought this as a way to also have batteries for other tools, which has been very successful.Over the years I've had a fair number of trimmers, all petrol and all trouble. This one faithfully feeds more line when its bumped. It does a good cut and only looses the line now and again, but its much easier to re-thread than others I have had.I'm 5ft 8 ins but the trimmer is a little tall for me and does get a but uncomfortable after a while. I am tempted to wedge the safety switch on to make it a bit easier to operate.Batteries last for the duration of my lawn edges and more - say 80 mtrs +Highly recommended for all taller people.
