Pacsafe Metrosafe x 16" Commuter Backpack Black

Have tried out for a few days since receipt of this backpack and I love it! Much easier access due to the (sideways) orientation of the interior - can conveniently take out or put in items easily while on the go compared to the conventional upright packing style of the usual backpacks. The well-padded straps make it so comfortable to carry.. relative to another lighter backpack that I own, this backpack’s superior padding makes the same load feel lighter. The silhouette of the backpack is sleek, a great look for work :)I also own a couple of bag styles from the Pacsafe Citysafe range and am glad Pacsafe continues to delight.

Durability:GreatMaterial:QualityLove the bag! Got it for traveling use and to reduce my anxiety of being pickpocketed or robbed while being my airheaded self. The safety features are definitely noteworthy, and I love how I can secure everything with a lock optionally.

Basically perfect

I have the 13." It seems to have a perfect place for everything. The back zipper panel that folks seemed worried about is perfect for face mask and/or tickets. There are so many zip compartments and other compartments, everything you need to move from home office to regular office fits. I usually use a smaller slip case with a couple of pockets besides my backpack, for weekends and quickly moving around, but I've dropped that idea, now. This pack is fine. It really does not feel too lopsided in weight. I very much like the side opening and everything I have in there stays in the pockets and my RFIDsafe Blocking Tech Crossbody bag drops in when I want to have it around, too. I use a larger carabiner for that, which is fine. Also, the side carry grip is a little thin and could have been what was used for the top carry, but I use a luggage strap to build up that strap. Overall, this probably deserved five stars, but these little issues might move it to four stars, but maybe 4.5.

Fantastic back pack!! Well thought design makes every nook and cranny easily accessible while on the go. The main compartment opening being on the side means you can get what you need without having to remove the bag from your shoulder or remove everything to get at items on bottom. Will work best if you carry bags primarily on your right shoulder, which I do. I can fit 2 laptops, tablet, associated cords and other essentials for travel and work without difficulty. Still looks like new and was easy to clean when I spilled coffee all over it one time. Held up in some rainy weather protecting the contents. Security features easy to use even when only one hand available once you figure it all out. The slim profile is kinda amazing when you see what all it can hold. I am only 5'2" tall and it fits better on my back than most backpacks I have tried. I can keep bag on sitting in most chairs too. Comfortable to carry as a back pack and easy to carry as a brief case. My only minor dislike is that when you have something (bottle, umbrella or the like) in bottle pocket on side opposite the opening, and place backpack on a suitcase handle, you either have a bit of a wobbly balance and side handle on top, or good balance and have to grab by backpack straps. But with design and slim profile not other feasible placements. Now carry a bottle with carabiner clip for times I want to keep bag on suitcase for extended periods. Fits nicely under airplane seats completely full, and even in the smaller overhead space in smaller first class cabins. I was weary spending this much on a back pack, but absolutely no regrets!! First back pack I have not grown frustrated with over time. Had for about 9 months now. Between this and my pacsafe wristlet wallet, I rarely carry a purse these days. I tried many variations of bags for work-related travel needs, and this one is as close to perfect for me as I have found.

Great company, but not my bag

I enjoy the Pacsafe products. They are innovative, focus on potential theft, and organization. I have the smaller Metrosafe which allows me to carry a 13" laptop or tablet. I wanted a larger Pacsafe bag to use as my daily carry bag from 15" laptop. The Bag is great with organization, locking zippers, with a backpack configuration that could be carried as a backpack over the shoulder or sit on top of luggage as a messenger bag configuration. This is where I decided this bag was not for me. Due to the side load as a backpack or like a messenger bag loading. I decided to look for more of a backpack configuration for my use. Movatik is an amazing company. Terrific pricing, great customer service and complete willingness to work with me. I give Movatik a 100% score. ... MoreI enjoy the Pacsafe products. Pacsafe is the best travel backpack

This is my second Pacsafe anti-theft backpack. I always use Pacsafe backpacks when I travel. The compartments are well thought out and planned. Access is easy and items are well organised.

Perfect commuter bag?

Excellent bag, especially the internal layout fits me perfect room for wallet, phone, power bank and a laptop and still plenty of space for extra stuff.Comfortable straps but the bag still looks good in the city. Only real drawback so far is that it is a bit slim for bulky stuff.Overall a great bag irrespective of the clever locking mechanisms

Seems Perfect

It is too early to review this product on durability and convenience or to provide an assessment on its anti-theft features. However, on first impressions, the backpack looks extremely well built and the locking systems all seem to work properly. The style is very nice and the straps look comfortable for long hauls. My computer and portable screen fit in very nicely and there is ample room left for other items.

Small and Side Loading

However, that model was no longer available and this one was my closest choice. From the look of it online, it seemed ample enough to fit everything else that I used to carry in my old one. However, that was not the case. This is great for a laptop, book, and notepad, and some small personal items: glasses case and charger. It does not have capacity for much more than that. Aside from that, the reason I decided to return it was because of the fact that you have to lay it on its side, in order to retrieve your items. If it opened up from the top, you could access your items easily, but the fact that you have to lift it, lay it on its side, and then retrieve your items, makes it tedious and cumbersome. Also, the secret pocket that rests against your back, on this model, isn’t as hidden as my older model. When, wearing my backpack, the old model used to completely hide the fact that there was a pocket. Excellent for passports and money.. On this model, you can see the zipper handle at the top of the backpack and on the edge eluding to a potential pickpocket that there is another compartment. Also, Tano, this is Ripley is not invited. Nor doesn’t offer a lock type of closure like the side ones. I don’t want to give this a poor review because it is definitely well-made. It can be very useful for someone that perhaps doesn’t want to carry too much and yet keep things more secure than an average backpack. However, for the traveler, it’s more work than what it’s worth.

Suits my needs perfectly

It’s suits my needs perfectly ! It has lots of useful compartments and I feel much more confident about my valuables being safe on my workday commute and my weekend activities. I am considering purchasing a bigger bag for long haul travelling I have planned for later this year.
