I was searching for long time to upgrade to a professional cymbals. I have a mix of Sabian and Ziljian cymbals but I just didn't hear that perfect fast crash sound I was looking for. When I heard it, I knew that was the one.. I bought the 14" and It far exceeded my expectations. this is my absolute favorite cymbal!

I've been playing Paiste cymbals for 20+ years, and the signature line is the top of the mountain as far as I'm concerned. This cymbal was purchased to compliment my current setup which includes a 10" sound formula splash, 16" signature full crash, 16" signature power crash, and 19" signature full crash. The 14" signature fast crash fits in perfectly. The sound is higher in pitch, but projects every bit as well as a larger crash. The attack is big and there is just enough sustain. It is a fast crash, so the sustain isn't what you would get with a thicker or larger cymbal. That's just what I was looking for. This cymbal will fit very nicely into any style of music from light jazz to rock. I don't know that this would be a good choice for a hard rock/metal player, but ... MoreI've been playing Paiste cymbals for 20+ years, and the signature line is the top of the mountain as far as I'm concerned. I'd leave that opinion to someone who plays that style. Bottom line, you can't go wrong with Paiste. Their Signature Line is what cymbals are supposed to sound like, and this cymbal is a perfect link between smaller splashes and average crashes.

I took a chance and bought this cymbal without having an opportunity to test it live. It sounds great. I don't know if Paiste is consistent from cymbal to cymbal but the one I have sounds fine. Going to a music store and testing out a dozen different 14" cymbals does not seem practical anymore so I was happy this worked out. Plus the 10% off and free shipping...can't beat it.
Great cymbal for sharp, quick, and focused sound. Clean with no bad overtones and works well with many other types of cymbals. I have many fast crashes and they all sound beautiful. You really can't go wrong with these.
I recently purchased the 15 inch Signature fast crash. It is as its name implies, a "fast crash". It cuts through the mix very well and fits right in sonically with the rest of my Paiste cymbals (2002's, Twenty series and Alphas). I started playing Paiste about 8-9 years ago and couldn't be happier. I called customer service with a question on one occasion and actually spoke to a rep and not a voice activated machine. They may be slightly more expensive but you get what you pay for.
I own the 16" & 18" fast crash and I am still amazed at the full range of sound coming from these beautiful cymbals. The 18" has low frequency characteristics almost like a gong, its so full in tonality. The 16" is my main crash but the 18" is there when you need that big full range crash. The 16" replaced a very old shrill sounding 16" A Zildjian I've had since the 60's. The 18" replaced a 18" Paiste 2002 crash that I have owned for 35 years. I know how much people love the 2002 series and I also have 2002 sound edge Hi Hats and 2002 20" china but the crash just can't compare to the Signature Fast Crash in full range of tone. Their expensive but they bring a smile every time I hear them and therefore their worth the cost.
Just used these on a studio session, and they were absolutely fantastic! Great sounding cymbals with good feel. They were cutting but not abrasive, sitting right in the mix with the rest of the instruments. I've never used a 14" crash before because most of them sound like big splashes. The one that I used was simply awesome.
I needed a quick, dry, full voice on my kit to complement my 21 K Custom Special Dry Ride, and choce an 18" Signature Fast Crash. It's my first Paiste, and the Mrs thought it was great on the first strike. I'm primarily a jazz/blues/Oldies player, and don't need to cut through Marshall stacks with no miking. As to the naysayers on this cymbal, yes Paistes are terrific-looking plates. But you need to use the right tool--properly--for the job. This is NOT a basher cymbal; it's a thin one, designed for an acoustic accent. I agree A or Z Customs are great when you need to shake up your bass player, and want to whale on the bronze. But for jazz, oldies, and other uses requiring a musical tone, the Paiste Signatures are superb, and will last within the uses for which they ... MoreI needed a quick, dry, full voice on my kit to complement my 21 K Custom Special Dry Ride, and choce an 18" Signature Fast Crash. I have a range of Sabian, HHX, Zildjian A and Ks and Paiste Twentys, all good cymbals, but different. The 16" Paiste fast crash is pretty unique. It has a silvery crash tone along with clean stick definition and a pure bell sound. I use it with my jazz kit and timbales and the bell sound is just fabulous. I find that the 16" fast crash has a very musical tone and it blends well with other brands of cymbals. It mikes great and is a great choice for un-miked low to medium volume venues.
