Got this from CVS on clearance for a great price. The 13.5 FL Oz bottles were on clearance for about $4.99 and they had a $2.00 off coupon on the bottle so that brought it down to $2.99 and it think I also had a CVS coupon for a little bit more off so I paid maybe $2.70 I like that it promotes being for all of curl patterns and textures while also having Biotin. It's color safe, non-stripping and removes build-up. It's also silicone free, has no para end, phthalates, mineral oil, gluten and dyes. Also has cocoa butter. Was pretty thick and a bit stickier than others shampoos I'm used to. It rinses out very well and super foamy so I feel like that makes up for the stickiness and it seemed like the little bit i used in one section would have been enough to cover other ... MoreGot this from CVS on clearance for a great price. I received this sample in the mail and decided to ask my husband to try since he is letting his hair grow out. He is a hard core Pant**** user. I didn’t even have to ask him once out of the shower. He said, that shampoo is great, it washed out well and made my hair squeaky clean, and the conditioner did as well. He likes a heavier conditioner so the deep conditioning came in clutch. He didn’t feel the need to use any styling product to tame his curls. I am being sent to the store tomorrow in search of Palmers Length Retention Shampoo & Deep Conditioner. Thanks, Palmer’s.

Excellent!

I've been using Palmer's Coconut Conditioning Shampoo for years and found it was getting too oily for me as my hair and scalp have changed over the years. I also have had some hair shedding for the past few years due to stress.I used this New "Lengthning" product from Palmer's and find that it is pretty good. It does have a thick "slime" texture as people have said but no bother. I just rinse it really well as I would every shampoo since my hair is already oily.I follow up with a a natural glycerine soap bar for my second shampoo. Sounds strange but I order a non-frangrance all natural clear glycerine body bar soap for my second shampoo. This helps get rid of any residuals left over by any of my shampoos.

Great product but you shoul also use the conditioner in order to get the best results!

This is the best shampoo I`ve ever tried in my +50 years-long travel through life! Period! This shampoo has no nasty industrial stuff that nowadays you get into all this kinda stuff such as parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, gluten, dyes, SLS or even MIT. Not suited for all types of hair just for the dry one. And it`s a must to use also the conditioner of this brand in order to get the maximum results! Also, the cocoa scent is mild for those who care about this thing ...

Length Retention/Cocoa Butter Shampoo

I bought this shampoo in 2022 and started using it at the beginning of 2023. I have been using it since January and I've been so pleased. It is an extremely rich, moisturizing shampoo. The smell of cocoa butter is so nice and soothing. My hair gets extra dry in the winter and this took care of that very quickly. My hair is in excellent condition and this kept it that way. My hair grows extremely well on its own and this helped to maximize that. My hair is about hip length, thick and has a ton of waves. This has kept the ends so moisturized. The shampoo is the only Palmer product I've used. I'm trying the Monoi leave-in today. Sounds like it will work well. I noticed that some women had mentioned build-up. I rarely clarify and had no issues. Be sure your hair is soaking wet before your shampoo and add smaller portions as you shampoo all over. I was excited about the shampoo but using it was not overwhelmed. The bottle is only OK. I shampoo itself is very thick and took some time to work into my (thin) hair. IT is foamy, but again thick foam. In the first application, I had almost no foam and in the second I had too much and it took some time to wash away.I didn't particularly like the smell but it is not unpleasant or something like that.It is said to have a clarifying effect and I am not sure about it. After washing the hair didn't feel light. For me, though, having very very thin hair is just fine.But still, after drying and brushing my hair felt good.
