Start with the fact that I started using lotion 2 months pregnant, now I have 4.5 months, so I can not say for sure how well it prevents stretch marks, because stretch marks on my skin appeared in 1 pregnancy because of the large weight gain, now in the 2nd pregnancy I had no weight gain and the appearance of new stretch marks while undetected. But the fact that the lotion perfectly moisturizes the skin is unequivocal! Now I want to answer the questions that you may have before buying: 1. The smell of this lotion is not intrusive and light, for me it is important because during pregnancy my sense of smell has sharpened, sharp and strong aromas cause nausea. I can use this lotion without worrying about it. 2. I apply the lotion after a shower, it is absorbed quickly, in 5-10 minutes, does not leave a feeling of stickiness and greasy film on the skin, which is very important for me. 4. There is no itching and dryness after application. 5. The expense of the funds is normal, I will not say that it is spent economically. If used daily, once a day, it will last for 1-1.5 months. 6. Convenient packaging with a good dispenser. Only 7. Affordable price! Definitely I will order more than once, after pregnancy I also plan to use it! I hope my review was useful to you!

I am so disappointed in the formula with the “mild” scent! I wish I had the OPTION to choose between the cocoa butter smelling one and the new one. The new one smells very floral and strong to me, and i can’t use it due to the smell at 20 weeks pregnant. I was running low on my bottle of the original scent, so i got a new one not knowing the scent had changed. I am SO sensitive to smells in pregnancy and the sweet cocoa butter smell is one of the few things I can tolerate. I thought maybe the new bottle was just a new scent OPTION, but it looks like ALL the Palmers lotion for stretch marks have this new smell and the old one is gone! Please tell me I’m wrong and that this is just an alternative scent and that i can still choose the cocoa butter scent. The new one ... MoreI am so disappointed in the formula with the “mild” scent! I don’t think i will care for this scent when I’m not pregnant either. I’m so disappointed. I used this for yearssssss before ever being pregnant too and loved it.Please please please PLEASE bring back the original scent to this lotion. If there is good feedback on the new scent, PLEASE consider expanding your production facility to make BOTH formulas and specify the scent on the label. The new scent is horrid!I would recommend this product to a friend bc evehrone is different with smells and i like the results of the lotion. But I cannot use it anymore.

Why would you say free of fragrance, yet add fragrance? Why would you add sodium benzoate to a product for pregnant women. I love the product, but I hate the smell, and I am afraid to use it because of some of the ingredients. Can't you keep this product great, leave out the fragrance and remove any toxic ingredients? I really want to love this and recommend it, but I cannot. If not for the fragrance and harmful ingredients, I'd give it 5 stars.
This new formula is just awful… it doesn’t absorb into your skin. In fact, the lotion begins to ball up with any material or even just your hand gliding across your skin. I miss the old product, I didn’t care for the cocoa smell of the old product, but at least it fully absorbed and left my skin smooth and soft to the touch. My husband can’t even touch me because he said it feels likes rubbing dead skin off of me. This product is just awful. Why try to fix something that was never broken? And you have somehow made this product worse.. it is in no way an improvement and I am upset that I waisted money on this when I will be chucking it in the trash when i get home this evening. I tried giving it a shot for an entire week thinking maybe it was certain circumstances ... MoreThis new formula is just awful… it doesn’t absorb into your skin. And you have somehow made this product worse.. it is in no way an improvement and I am upset that I waisted money on this when I will be chucking it in the trash when i get home this evening. I tried giving it a shot for an entire week thinking maybe it was certain circumstances that caused the lotion to ball up.. maybe too much moisture? Maybe certain fabric I was wearing that rubbed it into balls? Wrong! And wrong again! i have tried it right after a shower.. tried it in the morning when my skin is completely dry.. tried it with a combination of another lotion that I love and leaves my skin smooth and I have come to the conclusion that it is indeed the lotion itself that is the issue. It balls up every single time I have used it no matter the different ways I apply it and leave it to dry and every time it leaves my skin feeling gross and dirty as if my skin is peeling. Absolutely hate it and my husband can’t even touch me because he is grossed out by the feeling of it on my skin as well. I have also noticed the change in the scent of the product. It smells like glue but odor isn’t terribly strong considering I used to hate the smell of the cocoa butter version so I won’t complain about that, although it’s not much of an improvement. Just very chemically and smells very much like a glue based product. I am very disappointed in your new formula. You need to fix this and find out what additive you have put in this new formula that causes it to ball up on the skin so terribly. Your going to be losing many loyal customers because of this result as nobody wants to feel dirty and gross after applying lotion.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion helps visibly improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Pure Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter, Natural Oils, Collagen, Elastin, and Lutein keep skin moisturized and supple for 48 hours allowing skin to stretch more easily. Widely recommended for stretch marks during and after pregnancy or weight fluctuation. Palmers has been my go to moisturizer for years. Recently they have changed the formulas and I don’t like them as much. The texture of Palmers Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion is rich and creamy. There isn’t much of a Cocoa Butter scent or much of a scent at all. I really miss the smell of Cocoa butter. Now, the scent is what I associate with shea butter. I am not a fan of shea butter at all, not the scent or the texture. I find shea butter does not absorb as well into my skin as Cocoa butter. The pump works well. There is so much product always left in the bottle, with a smaller opening it is difficult to get out.
This cocoa butter stretch mark cream works wonders. It contains vitamin E, collagen, elastin, shea butter and argan oil which are very great for your skin. I have four kids and they were back to back babies, my stomach had very ugly dark looking stretch marks all over it and this has helped with the elasticity of my stretch marks quickly within 3 weeks of us. You can tell it made my skin firmer and lightened my stretch marks so much. I use it on my breasts as well because I also have stretch marks on them. This lotion’s scent is very light and this lotion doesn’t make your skin sticky like other lotions. It is free of parabens, mineral oil and phthalates. Love how it smoothens my skin so efficiently and so fast. I definitely recommend this lotion it works so great ... MoreThis cocoa butter stretch mark cream works wonders. I absolutely love Palmers anything but let me tell you, if you want to prevent stretch marks, use this product!! I KNOW, I did it. If it’s too late and you already have stretch marks rather from pregnancy or not, USE this product. It even works to lighten and almost make make invisible stretch marks on men! I used it on my husbands few stretch marks on his arms and side of his belly and I’m talking you, it works wonders!!! I’ve used it so many years and I know I will continue to use Palmers butter massage lotion for pregnancy stretch marks as of as I live. Oh, and it’s VERY affordable for what it is and does. I love it!!! Highly recommend
I first purchased the Palmer's Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks six years ago, not for pregnancy but for surgical scars. It had all the ingredients my dermatologist recommended and was a lot cheaper than surgical scar creams and lotions. It worked so well you have to look for the scars to even see them. The same results for a second surgery I had so I kept on using it. I recommended the Palmer's to everyone, even told my doctors about it. Now the new formula doesn't work as well, nor smell good anymore. Why oh why do companies keep changing a perfect product and ruin it? I will no longer buy this product as I am tired of waiting for Palmer's to fix the problems and restore the old formula. If saving money was the motivation for the formula change bad move.
