I am slowly replacing all our batteries with eneloops. While they are definitely a more expensive initial purchase, I love the fact that they hold their charge (unlike other rechargeables), meaning you can charge them when they are depleted and know they will be ready to go in a month or a years time when you next urgently need them, rather than having to recharge them when you need them. So much easier.

Only owned these AAA for 5 mins but I'm happy so far. They have a great reputation for keeping their charge, which is why I bought them. I have owned the AA versions for sometime and I cant grumble.

Eneloops are special. They are different. You can recharge them at any time, and they will always charge to 100%. They have no 'memory',unlike most rechargeables. What makes them really special though,is that a charge will last just as long after 2,3 or 5 years use! Cheap rechargeables are great - for about 10 charges, then each recharge comes along quicker and quicker, until they are lasting only minutes, and you throw them away. Eneloops keep going and going. They work out far,far cheaper and are consistent. I have been using them for years now, they are terrific!

Pros: Stay charged for ages. Have good life and power in them. Will last for years.Cons: A bit pricy but you only have to buy them once.
Using these Panasonic batteries to replace the old tired ones in our Panasonic cordless phone handsets. Those were running out of charge quickly during calls, leading to sound distortion and having to swap handsets during longer calls. These batteries are approx 50% higher capacity than the original spec, enabling longer usage before recharge becomes necessary. They keep their charge for longer off the charging units, so we can leave them lying around in convenient places for longer. 4 handsets needing 2 batteries each, so the 8-pack is the ideal one for economic purchase. Spec indicates 2400 recharges possible, old ones approx 1000, so they ought to last in service for more than twice as long as the original batteries. Call clarity seems improved too, it's as if ... MoreUsing these Panasonic batteries to replace the old tired ones in our Panasonic cordless phone handsets. Call clarity seems improved too, it's as if the phones are working a bit better using these. Came ready charged, blurb says they use solar power to do this, so they are seemingly helping us to be a bit green! Fingers crossed they continue to be as reliable as the phones. I'd use them for other applications if/when I get the chance, and can recommend to anyone who needs rechargeables.
When come to rechargeable batteries, I only trust Eneloop, it was developed by Sanyo and now owned by Panasonic, many of my more then 10 year-old "Sanyo" Eneloop still working fine for some less demanding devices . So for the long run, they are actually cheaper and safer than other brands.
The accumulators function precisely as stated. Good visual design, great technology, really low self discharge (the batteries maintain freshly charged voltage over a long period of time). You take energy only when you need it, no waste between consumption cycles.
I have been using Panasonic Eneloop batteries for a few years. The original ones I bought are still going strong. Saves a fortune and far better for the environment.
Eneloops are simply the best rechargeable AA and AAA batteries money can buy. Made in Japan. Never leak, almost zero self discharge. Good always bright contact cap metal, never oxidises. Last a lifetime maybe. Ive used them since they came out in 2005. Ive not had a single failure or wear out yet! Used to be Sanyo but Panasonic bought the factory. Same great batteries. Perfect.
Quick delivery of good quality product. Even though these are more expensive than ordinary batteries they should last about 100 times longer and as they're from a very good manufacturer I'm confident that they should give good quality performance for years. I've used this brand before and they have been faultless.
