Not sure how it came about but I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program and I also possess a 'Braun S3 Wet & Dry'. I imagine however it may be useful for readers to hear that the Panasonic seems to give a better shave - especially on my neck where the bristles tend to grow in erratic directions. Although I do not have a heavy growth the Braun left my neck with the odd prickly area and the Panasonic does not. I have also used both in the shower where, having not found a convenient, steam-free mirror, one shaves as I imagine a blind man does - tracing the blades with the fingers - and it works surprisingly well! and I fondly imagine it to be time efficient (with the pleasant double tasking). Seems over large for what it is, plus my previous shavers have all had integral chargers no there was no need for a separate charger, which threatens to fall out of the adapter when you turn your back on it. It shaves well enough but not brilliantly. The trimmer faces the foils so is not ideal, it should be constructed so it faces the other way, my old philishave was better, I may take this back and get another one of those. A lot of reviews on here say it's good for travel, which only applies if you are away on a short trip and don't need to take the charger with you, but if you need to take the charger with you, you would need an adapter, so a travel case would be useful. It's not horrendously expensive I suppose compared to the £200-£300 price of other shavers I've seen. To sum up, it's ok for the price.

I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program. I have had the shaver for a week now and the first thing I noticed was how lightweight it is. Thankfully the rubberised grip makes it feel more substantial as well as improving control during use. Day 1 - dry shave. I got a good result with little or no discomfort and the flexible pivoting head made it easy to navigate my jawline. It took a little longer than I am used to but I put this down to a lack of experience with this particular shaver. Day 2 - wet shave. This was the first time I'd ever used any cordless shaver with shaving gel. It was surprisingly comfortable and as long as you rinse the shaver regularly you get a nice smooth shave. Day 3 - slide-up trimmer. After a quick dry shave I had the chance to try out the slide-up trimmer. It was easy to engage and had a nice solid feel to it and whilst I did not have a beard to use it on, it worked perfectly well on my overlong sideburns. Days 4, 5 and 6 - I continued with dry shaves and as I got used to the unit, the results improved further. The shaver is very easy to clean using the brush provided and/or cleaning with water. The clear plastic protector neatly covers the on/off button as well as the head, making it easy and safe to store. It took less than an hour for the first full charge as the shaver came with some residual power and I have not yet needed to charge it a second time. In summary, a lightweight, comfortable shaver suitable for daily use at home and, although not a compact, makes a good travel buddy. Yes it vibrates and is typically noisier than a rotary style shaver but this is minimal and I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet and smooth it was during use when compared to other foil type shavers I have owned previously. Like most cordless shavers it does take a little time to achieve 'near razor blade' results.

I was recently given this shaver by Panasonic UK as part of the Panasonic reviewer program. I must admit to being rather taken by it. It has a good form factor and is easy to hold even with wet soapy hands. The head is nicely sized to reach comfortably into those hard to get, top lip under nose areas that some electric shavers find more difficult. The trimmer slides out neatly and sits in a natural place for accurate placement onto sideburns, I don't have a moustache to try it on, but cutting sideburns neat and square is a breeze. Shaving wet gives, a more comfortable shave and cleaning the heads out afterwards is a quick flick of the top and a second or two under the tap. Shaving dry is ok, but can feel a little less comfortable. Overall the experience and the cut ... MoreI was recently given this shaver by Panasonic UK as part of the Panasonic reviewer program. Shaving wet gives, a more comfortable shave and cleaning the heads out afterwards is a quick flick of the top and a second or two under the tap. Shaving dry is ok, but can feel a little less comfortable. Overall the experience and the cut is as good as any electric shaver I have used, the wet adds and extra level of comfort over many, and the price point is very keen for a well-made good looking shaver. L-ion cells bring the latest battery technology allowing for a very fast charging and long repeatable life. The shaver won't run when its being charged, probably a good idea as it can be used wet! But a few minutes on the charger will get you up and running again. I would recommend this shaver, good price, good form, good cut, latest battery technology.
I use it daily as my main shaver. I bought it to replace an ageing Braun Cooltec. It took a couple of days to get used to the new shape but now it feels like I have never used anything else. It gives a close enough shave for me. I can't compare to the old shaver which was in need of new cutters. The only thing I miss about the the Braun is the cooling bar but Braun don't make the Cooltec any longer. I have used it wet but I rarely use this method and I didn't find any difference between wet and dry shaves.Overall it's a good product.
I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program. I have had the shaver for a week now and couldn't be happier. It delivers a quick even shave with no snagging or pulling and the flexible pivoting head ensures a close clean shave. Charging is brilliant only 1 hour for a full charge but those times that you forget, the quick 5 min charge gets you out of trouble! Very easy to keep clean and compact enough to store. The slide up trimmer is perfect for that Monday morning shave when the hair is that bit longer or tidying the side burns. I've only used as a dry shaver as this is my preference but have no doubt it would not disappoint if that's your chosen method.
From the outset I was impressed with just how well this product came packaged, no chance of any damage in transit. I Have had chance to test all of the features of the product both wet and dry before writing this review. The three blade system works well in both modes (wet or dry) my preference would be dry as an everyday shave, however I did note that the performance using this wet with gel/foam didn't hinder the results. This was surprising as I thought that it may clog the foils, this didn't happen and had no effect at all to the result. The slide out trimmer works well and is a nice touch just to enable that well groomed look. Obviously the nature of a wet dry device enables really easy cleaning and the rubberised finish means that control isnt compromised while ... MoreFrom the outset I was impressed with just how well this product came packaged, no chance of any damage in transit. Obviously the nature of a wet dry device enables really easy cleaning and the rubberised finish means that control isnt compromised while in action. The battery life is more than adequate. The days of battery memory issues with rechargeables are resolved with a lithium ion battery. Being able to just plug in and recharge irrelevant of the output voltage is a nice thought also, less for me to worry about and a stated charge time of 1 hour for a full charge seems accurate. The cable and fittings are also well made and seem quite robust so should last the lifetime of the shaver. The one issue for me that I would like to see resolved is the lack of battery indication, I have the RT37 and you only get a three stage led indicator, these blink when the charge is low. On other models a multi stage led visual indicator is part of the design. Although this doesn't impact the performance at all of this product, I myself would prefer it as stranded, that is just my personal preference though. After many years of wet shaving with a razor, and putting up with the discomfort after shaving due to sensitive skin, I thought I would try an electric shaver again to see if this would better suit me. I was using an electric shaver up to about 10 years ago, but struggled to achieve a clean shave and always found that bits of stubble had been missed. So when this electric shaver came along I though I would see how things have improved over the last decade, and I must admit I am impressed. Next attempt was a couple of days later, this time using it as a dry shaver. This time there was no problem at all and managed to achieve a good clean shave with no discomfort afterwards. The slide up trimmer was easy to use and left neat sideburns with no effort at all. The shaver was also very easy to clean afterwards. I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program.
The ES-RW30 takes 8 hours to fully recharge but it is worth it as it then shaves for a week without recharge. The cutters are among the best I have ever used and the foil is less stretched than most foil razors. As a result the foils should last longer than the usual three months before the foil cracks. As to the quality of the shave, it is certainly among the closest I have ever had. I always use an astringent to set up the hairs at least ten minutes before shaving, this results in electric shave as good as any wet shave, except for the neck under the chin. This is usually a problem with the odd hair that stays after shaving, circling and all directions does not get it. With this shaver the neck and under the chin are left smooth after the shave. I have been using electric shavers since 1964 (Remington. Braun, Sivercrest and others) so I think I am able to compare them. The shaver could be improved by adding a timer for shaves left and adding a short charge for one shave in emergencies.
I recently was sent the shaver by Panasonic to review as part of their reviewer program. First impressions were a nicely presentated quality product. I normally use both blade and a rotary shaver. The RT37 gives a close shave and is handy for a quick shave. At first I found the shaver a little awkward to use as it is longer than other shavers with the blade feeling remote. The slide up trimmer is convenient and works well. Cleaning is simple both wet and dry due to the easily detachable cover and supplied cleaning brush. The battery lasts well and is easy and quick to recharge. I found that the flexible head needed a good bit of pressure to pivot. Overall I'd say the shaver is a well made and easy to use product, if a little bulky.
