This all-purpose lens can be taken anywhere and is great in low light. Another fantastic product from Panasonic!

It did as good in this area as a lens costing 10 times it's sale price. I can not comment on it's durability but I would recommend it to those looking for an inexpensive fast lens.Attached is a 6 shot focus stacked composite of an azalea shot at f2.8. The subject is in sharp focus but the background still shows the bokeh of a wide aperture lens.

Good lens for Boke.

One of my favourite lens's. Easy to use, relatively well made. Really good if you are looking for the "boke" effect in both video and photo's. Using it with My Lumix G7 for a vlog I do. Haven't needed another lens for this since. And in comparison to some of the other Lenses on the market this one is great for the price range. Almost the cheapest Lens you can get for my camera. Win win! Highly recommend to anyone. Cons I would say are because it has a fixed focal range you can't zoom in and out using the lens, (You might have a digital zoom you can use though). This can be tricky if you have a limited space to shoot your shot, as if you are too close to the camera you are likely to not fit within the frame and again if you are to far away you have to physically move ... MoreOne of my favourite lens's. This might get in the way of other camera angels OR be completely inconvenient to everything and everyone around it. Not really a problem if its your only shooting from one angle at a time OR space isn't an issue. I was able to make it work in a room 3mx3m even with the additionally Lighting, backdrop, Sound gear, a desk to sit at. If your sitting on the wall, give this a shot. Best purchase I've made in a while.

Great lens - little focusing issue
21 April 2023

I recently got the lumix gx80 and wanted another lens separate from the kit lens that it cam with. I read a bunch of reviews and this seemed like a great option for an affordable lens that would take great portraits. And when I tell you this is a great little lens. The difference in quality is incredibly noticeable when compared to the kit lens (100% to be expected but shocking how much of a difference it makes). really love and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a prime for street photography or portraits.Only issue is that it sometimes struggles to focus but this issue is mostly in video so if you're using this mostly for photography it shouldn't be a huge issue!

This is my first prime lens and only my third for my first interchangeable lens camera. The Olympus em10 mII. I was pleasantly surprised how much sharper this lens is compared to the 14-42 and 40-150 kit lens I already had. They take much better photos than my phone, which is what I was looking for in that purchase. I don't have a lot of photography experience to compare with but I could tell right away that the prime lens was a clearer photo than the zoom lens I had. I'll still use them when the zoom is needed but this will probably be my main lens for compact travel and general pictures of people and landscapes. Happy with my purchase and have already used Adorama for other purchases. The package came to the house looking promising but was packaged with plastic bags which wasnt ideal for a lens. The product itself was purchased used and decent condition. Kind of wish it was cleaned before shipping and not as loosely packaged but over all arrived on time and worked as good as I expecte.

One of the best lenses for people starting out. If you want to zoom into far subjects or capture wide shots this isn’t the lens for you. It’s a great Jack of all trades with a great F-Stop which ensures good performance under all lighting conditions. 25mm is rally where most people should start and this lens is a great 25mm lens.

I shoot 50mm prime a lot in my work and recently bought a Lumix G9 as my go to knock around camera for when I'm out riding. Paired it with this guy on the cheap to get a feel for camera capability especially in low light. I stacked it against my feels like meter relative to my Nikon Z5 + 50mm prime power duo. Honestly the low light and clarity is fantastic especially for the price point. I love that the depth of field is so forgiving. It makes getting bokeh while doing run and gun very easy if you push composition but not overbearingly so. Back off and getting isolation without the background totally falling apart is straight forward. It's sharp, fast, and cheap enough you can take it anywhere you wanna go and feel relatively safe. 9 April 2024

Fantastic lens especially at a great price. Frankly all my other glass is Leica R and Leica M. But on the GH 5 mk2This makes a effective 50 mm lens great because it’s FAST, autofocus is perfect with the GH, and very very lightweight which is a pleasure in handling. It very sharp but not edgy. Both for stills or 4 K video PERFECT.
