I give this product 5 stars. I upgraded from a smaller unit, as I wanted a bit more oomph. I didn't want something too big, but was wiling to slightly up-size in return for a better sound. I found this baby on sale for $249, with 300w of power, some more compact units with only 40w cost more than this, and I always trust Panasonic, they have never let me down, I had never had a Panasonic stereo before, and 300w for $249, I thought "let's give this a go". It is a compact, traditional 3 piece stereo, moderately sized and doesn't take up too much space, it looks chipper, has gentle blue ambient lighting, and the sound, oh man! For an inexpensive sound system, the quality is very, very good. Wonderful selection of features to make listening a greater pleasure., plus the benefit of a remote. Panasonic is a trusted reliable brand that delivers an excellent quality product which wonderful useful, helpful features at a reasonable price point.

The speakers are bulky and plasticy. The main unit is gaudy and cheap looking. If you look at the back of the speakers these look like really cheap speakers immediately. To be honest, I just wanted a Bluetooth stereo with deep bass and clear sound, so I could have forgiven the above, but it fell really short on that too. It sounded terrible. Again we have probably been spoilt by more modern products out there on the market, but this wasn't listenable. I ran my DJ equipment through it and my phone on Bluetooth. All at appropriate levels. At whatever volume it sounded muffled. The sound in this unit is good, but it isn't anything to blow you away. Clear, you can hear everything good enough. Audiophiles may want to look elsewhere and also those who like bass may want to look elsewhere as it does lack a little here. Plenty loud enough for my needs. The USB input is handy but keep in mind that it only supports MP3 files, so if you're looking to play FLAC or other lossless files, you will have to bluetooth from your computer. It is compact so it doesn't take up too much space. Recommend, well yes and now, just depends exactly what you are looking for.
Recently purchased Panasonic 300w 2-channel radio/cd player and because it is a mini hi fi it has excellent volume and repercussion. I also bought it for a he size. It's excellent. Extremely happy and recommend to everyone wanting to purchase a mini hi fi.
I bought this to replace a portable radio player which wasnt very loud in the place i work. It's a big factory with very noisy machines and this delivered. For it's size its very loud and bass is very good. I had to turn the bass down as other neighbouring deptartments could hear the bass thump. This was heard over the noisy machines that were measured by a sound health and safety tecnician. The machines produced noise of over 82 decibels meaning we had to wear ear protection but this didn't trouble this bundle of joy. When the machines were turned on the music could be heard over the noise and i had to turn the volume down if they were all stopped. I ran the music between 34-38 on the volume, i think 50 is max. The added bonus of it coming home is i'm a heavy sleeper and i regularly don't hear all my other alarms making me late often. This has an alarm or an time on function. It's great as it's loud enough to wake me up, only draw back is you have to set the alarm everyday but I don't mind if it does the trick of waking me up. Had a few issues with the usb stick not letting me use high memory usb drives so I ended up making mp3 playlists on 15 cds so the cd would run for most of the working day. Not sure about all those negative reviews put before but i love this product, thank you Panasonic.
Easy to use. Can plug in other devices to it. Best of all the radio signal stays strong. I live in a blackhole as far as radio and mobile phone reception goes. If there is alot of wind I lose signal. If I walk too near the antenna it goes crackly. Now I have a radio that always works and I can plug other devices into plus use CDs.

The range could be greater, but you get what you pay for. The small speakers are able to deliver an acceptable frequency range, with plenty of bass. The volume is more than adequate for our needs. The supplied speaker cable is thin and cheap, but again, it is more than adequate for our needs. Great sound clarity and good volume. The volume control wheel could use some tactile feedback but thats juts personal preference. We bought it for CD so we can play albums we havent been able to play for years. Its been great for this.
Outstanding CD Stereo System! Exactly what it says on the box Powerful Rich Clear Sound sounds amazing everytime I use it, very generous amount of punchy bass and heaps of sound options to choose from, and a beautiful overall quality product.
