I've bought all my appliances over many years from Appliances Online & have always been happy with them, but not this time. After buying this Panasonic combination oven I discovered the grilling function wasn't good enough to use & thought that was a great pity but the convection & micro seemed fine. But now after only 8 months the light has gone. Off completely for 2 weeks & now intermittent . . . obviously a crook connection or faulty board. But Appliances Online wouldn't replace it - instead just placed a call to Panasonic for repairs. Panasonic won't repair in situ so will take it away for assessment/repairs leaving me with nothing in meantime. Seriously, is this good customer service ? Great for cooking small amounts without needing to heat up our main oven. So far have used it mainly for heating quiches and making jacket potatoes, but have also made some very good chocolate muffins and the best cauliflower cheese ever! It does make me nervous that the inside obviously gets hot just like a real oven, so that if someone uses the microwave immediately after I've used the convection function and touches the inside of the microwave they'd get a nasty burn - perhaps there should be a warning or some kind of safeguard to prevent this from happening?

The microwave efficiency is far superior to the old model - things reheat faster & it uses less power to achieve the same output. Convection or combo great for cooking 1 dish rather than using my large main oven. Only process it so far doesn't match is bread baking - my loaf in a tin burned in 1st 10 minutes of cooking, because the red-hot heating element in the roof is too close to the risen bread, but this can be overcome by switching loaf shape to a cob or rolls, and avoiding foods that stand too tall. The features of this product I especially like is the 30 second microwave feature. I find I use this feature often. Ive also found the time dial is so much easier to use than on the previous microwave I owned where I had to press a button to increase the microwave time. The dial is much easier to use.
This was a replacement for an older Panasonic convection microwave that served me well for many years, and it is decidedly inferior. The new one requires one to weigh everything before cooking in order to determine cooking time, its predecessor worked it all out, all you had to do was select what was to be cooked e.g. fresh vegetables. The oven is also inferior, smaller capacity, due to a round baking dish or grill rack that sit on the turntable, compared with an oven with a sliding rack, with 2 positions available for either grilling or baking. An the time on the new one is set with a turnable knob, how long with that last! Not good at all, especially when you are cooking small quantities.
I was hoping this would replace my grill and microwave, i was sick of cleaning,y crappy little toaster oven. This is much easier to clean. But I find the dial for minutes very annoying, just give me a number pad! And the open close door is too stiff. Once I figured out the glass tray and rollywheel can stay in the grill it worked well, andgrillsevenlyas longasitems can rotate… doesanexcellentjobandheatsupquick. But without a number pad, and easy open close button that doesntrequire i hole the microwave so it doesn’t slip.that would make this perfect. Oh and clear instructions on how to set up the grill, i had to experiment with what could or couldn’t go into the grill…

Never been a fan of microwaves except for reheating liquid-type foods but then after deciding to try and save on electricity since Covid has seen me cooking most meals from home and I only have an old freestanding oven and hot plate stove top at my disposal, began to see if a microwave could work for me. After reading many favourable reviews on combined function microwaves, found this compact model that fits my small kitchen very well. It does what it promises and also functions as an oven and grill. The power obviously cant compare to a standard unit of 2000W but if you need to grill or bake smaller items at a time as I do, this certainly does the trick. Foods do come out quite grilled/ crispy. The oven function can dry a piece of salmon slightly but on the upside does cook it in 2/3 of the time overall than my oven (and of course using less power). But if you have the time to test out the most effective combination, this can really work for you. Easy to use interface, quite intuitive. You need to read the manual first but this is also an easy read even though the thickness may seem alarming. On a final note, researched that Panasonic was the most reliable brand for microwaves, I'm hoping/expecting at least 7 years from this unit but only time will tell.
I purchased this oven to replace a similar combo oven. It is a little smaller than my precious oven but I am very happy with th size of it and how easy the stainless interior is to keep clean. This oven is a very easy to use and reheats and cooks very efficiently. I would certainly recommend this oven to others looking for this typ of oven.
The controls feels silky smooth, not clunky. The door mechanism is quiet, opening and closing smoothly. The buttons are easy to use and the central dial is smooth, complimenting the overall design and ease of use. The convection function is a terrific bonus with the added feature of a top grill. It looks great in the kitchen and is not massive like other microwaves. Overall a fantastic value for money convection microwave.

The oven function was like a proper oven, with a shlf that slid in & out, and coukd take reasonably large dishes of all shapes. I tried using it as a convection oven a few days ago,it took FOREVER to pre-heat, and instead a shelf, it has a silly round tray that sits on top of the turn table, so you can ony use round dishes (I have no round baking dishes.) As for having a knob to select the cooking time, how 20th century! And the grill function, it never really gets hot enough to brown the surface of something! Cannot recommend this model.
