Panasonic RFP50 Portable Radio, FM/AM Pocket Radio

Hi, the radio has ‘sh sh’ sound. Even I tune the channel correctly , on n off the sh sh sound still persists,so I cannot hear the channel clearly. Very annoying. I had to keep adjusting the channel. Please advise. Thank you3/1- the radio is getting worse. The reception is getting bad. The sound keeps breaking off n volume getting softer. Please advise. Thank you

Great Radio, never mind the size - it's excellent

Great Radio, it is small but the sound is excellent, even compared to larger models. Nice and sturdy construction and the dials are precise. The red tuning light is perfect and it holds a station well when you move around - inside and in the garden. Very pleased with this, have always found Panasonic very good and this proves it. Fast delivery and good notifications from Robert Dyas, great value and service. Thank you

Much better than you'd expect a pocket radio to be

It looks bigger in the online web picture than it actually is so I would suggest checking the dimensions before you order. It is a lovely little radio with a nice, slightly mellow tone which suits music and speech alike. Plenty of volume too. It's well made, with easy to work controls and a clear tuning dial. The red dot lights up to show that it has "captured" the station you are selecting. I have not had to replace the batteries yet even though I have used it quite a lot. This is by far the best pocket radio I have bought so I recommend it without hesitation.

Not a Good Radio

I got this radio as a gift last year and just started using it as the SONY one I had for years was finally dying. This Panasonic is so hard to tune and the stations fade in and out. It basically is unusable, I have many other Panasonic products but never had a problem like this. If I had tried it sooner I might have some recourse. I would advise you to do this, as soon as you getn this product. .

Van Gogh would like this radio!

Had to return this as it only has a mono jack output for headphones which literally means it comes out of one ear only - so unless you are Van Gogh it's not great if you have two ears and want to listen with headphones! This was not explained on the website otherwise I would not have bought it. However, Robert Dyas staff were absolutely fine about giving a refund and themselves thought this was a bit stupid!

The reason for the purchase was to be a gift for my daughter who has Down Syndrome. She loves music and while in the car can't listen to her favorite stations. She loves the size and the ear bug. Thank you for having such a satisfying, enjoyable, and easy usable product. Stacy loves it!!

great performance in a small package

A perfect radio to fit in my back pocket at a very reasonable price. With great reception, I can plug in my headphones and take it outside while I do yard work. I can even take it in stores while I shop to listen to my favorite programs without disturbing anyone. I was delighted that the radio actually arrived 3 days ahead of schedule. Atlantic Sales is definitely an excellent seller with whom to do business.
