Pandemic Legacy Season 2 (Yellow Edition)
Pandemic: Legacy Season 2 (Yellow Edition) thrusts players into a world struggling to survive after a devastating plague nearly wiped out humanity. Seventy-one years have passed since civilization collapsed, and the last survivors live aboard floating havens, supplying what remains of the mainland. But now, the situation is worsening—cities are vanishing, and contact with distant outposts has been lost. It’s up to your team to venture into the unknown and uncover the fate of the world. Unlike traditional Pandemic games, Season 2 is a legacy experience where every decision leaves a lasting impact. As you explore new territories, you’ll unlock secrets, discover hidden dangers, and adapt to evolving threats. The game changes with each playthrough—cities fall, supplies run out, and the map itself transforms, ensuring no two campaigns are the same. With humanity’s survival hanging by a thread, your team must navigate an uncertain world, making difficult choices that will shape the future. Will you restore hope, or will the last remnants of civilization fade into history? The world is waiting—step forward and decide its fate.

Love this game! Just finished Pandemic Legacy Season One, straight into Season Two - it's great, different to first game but same concept.

As a longtime lover of Pandemic, and fresh out of Season 1, I had high expectations for Season 2, and I wasn’t let down. The new (reversed) mechanics are a welcome sight for this exciting new take on the tried and true method of playing, and the 8 packages along with the 6 dossier sheets are packed with at least twice as much as Season 1. Caution should be taken in the process of opening boxes for the sake of opening boxes, though; (***POTENTIAL SPOILER***) The new 'Recon’ action allows you to open boxes and expand the board as you see fit and collect the necessary cards, but try not to just expand for the joy of opening the corresponding boxes as it may get too hard to maintain your grid (***END OF POTENTIAL SPOILER***). This 'sandbox’ game with an obvious storyline can get difficult if you don’t at least *try* to follow its plot. Don’t let that take away from the fact that this is still a 10/10 game that has got the best elements of Season 1 with a fresh twist on the game we all know and love. I definitely reccomend this game.

I’ll try to break this game down for casual/‘non-gamers’ as well as more experienced board gamers, and finish with overall thoughts. If you’re looking to get into board games and figuring out if this game is for you, it very well may be. It’s a very good legacy game (campaign/story that changes permanently with writing on cards/boards/characters). However, there are currently 3 Pandemic Legacy games (Season 1, Season 2, Season 0). Of the 3, I would strongly suggest NOT starting with Season 2. You very well could and you wouldn’t be missing TOO much regarding references to the first season but Season 1 and Season 0 are MUCH better at being slightly more simplified but also more rewarding.Experienced gamers looking to see if this game is for you: I did really like ... MoreI’ll try to break this game down for casual/‘non-gamers’ as well as more experienced board gamers, and finish with overall thoughts. If you’re looking to get into board games and figuring out if this game is for you, it very well may be. It offers such a different experience than S1/S0 as they drastically changed the game while making it still feel like Pandemic. There’s a lot of exploration and discovery in this game. I would recommend playing this only after Season 1 tho. There are references to S1 and I think S1 is a better starting point. But ultimately I do recommend this game if you like Pandemic and/or Legacy games.Overall, this game is a solid legacy game and solid version of Pandemic. It reminds me slightly of Dark Souls 2 - a game which I love even though many believe it’s a noticeable step down in the series. The game just plays so differently from other Pandemic games. But the surprises and the learning curve of gameplay changes is fun, exciting and interesting. I highly recommend getting this game but I would recommend S1 or S0 over it if you only get one. In a perfect world, get all 3 and play them in release order. Cheers.

Great sequel. Evoles the pandemic game futher. Difficult to write without giving spoliers but if you liked Season 1 this is a must play. New story telling, surprising twists and is its own game with completely ntype of objectives (not just more of what was played in Season 1 (which is my favourite game ever))
This is the best game I’ve ever played. It is a high stakes version of Pandemic. What happens in January changes February. What happens in February changes March and so on. You build the map as you go along. You work with your partner or team to give humanity one last hope to survive. It’s challenging, but in a really fun way. My husband and I played this once a week for date night and it took us about four months to complete. Once you finish, you can’t play it again, but it is so worth it. Such a great way to work as a team!
As seasoned Pandemic players, it took us a few prologue games to wrap our heads around the new system, which does initially feel a bit more random than past games. But after a few games, as the sealed boxes and legacy elements come into play, we feel like there's a lot more we can control to engineer victories. There's definitely more of a sense of fighting a desperate battle than season 1 (at least in April of the game's 'year'), but we're excited to see what new discoveries are waiting to combat the threats.
Thanks! Ive been wanting to pick this game up for a while and so I jumped at the chance. I enjoy the twist on Pandemic in S2 more so than the more linear, similar experience with S1. Definitely recommended. I cant wait for S3 to see where the series goes next!
So started with pandemic. Found out about legacy season 1 and it became a favourite (never played a legacy game before) quite pricey for something you use once but breaking it down it’s only a couple of £ per game. Season 2 very different but REALLY looking forward to how it will pan out - only time will tell!
We've only played as far as march so i can only tell you about the first 3-4 games we've played. Its still got that pandemic feel to it but its a whole new experience. Its just different enough to be fun and if you loved the legacy aspect of season 1 you'll adore season 2. Its bursting with upgrades, addons and things to do and explore.Map exploration idea is amazing you start with a small area of the world available to you and throughout your playthrough you expan the world map as you unlock more and more areas. So far were loving this game its legacy season 1 on steroids.
We loved Pandemic Legacy 1 but we heard mixed reviews regarding Season 2. It doesn't disappoint! The exploration aspect is fantastic. The story is great, lots of 'wows' and shocks. We cannot wait to play next games! The only complaint we have is the quality of stickers tending to peel off.
