Pantene Gold Series Sulfate-Free Shampoo With Argan Oil, 8.5 oz

I love the packaging. I thought it was really cute with the gold and purple. However, I have 4a/3c type hair and my hair tends to be really dry. This made my hair feel even more dry. I tried it a couple of times just to make sure and kept the rest of my routine the same, but I definitely won’t use it again nor buy it. I am disappointed but not surprised.

This line quickly became my favorite budget option for my hair. The smell was great, they have a variety of products to help tame curls. This does not work as well as other products designed for ethnic/ multicultural hair but it will definitely get the job done.

I recommend this shampoo. Myself and my oldest daughter have dry curly hair. I am Caucasian with 3b style curls. My daughter is biracial Caucasian African American with very thick 3c curls. Most shampoos clump our hair into a big knotted mess and make it feel more dry. But this is the first shampoo I’ve ever used in either of our hair, that after rinsing, I can actually see and feel the moisture. I highly recommend this product. It is amazing and I can’t wait to try the other products in the line!!!

I really enjoyed this shampoo! It really gets the scalp clean without drying the hair out. I’ve been using this for almost 6 months with conjunction of some other products from this line. My hair has since grown 2 inches, much less breakage, most of all, feels much stronger. Is this shampoo moisturizing? No, but I feel like it’s less stripping than most. I only gave 4 stars because this shampoo is made for textured hair types, and I don’t see how this could work for all textured hair types; may be too stripping for really curly/coily hair. Nonetheless, I’ve been enjoying it for my dry, wavy hair. Would recommend for dry, wavy, and some curly hair types.

Best I've Ever Used

This line is the best I've ever used. As long as the formulas stay the same I will always use Pantene Gold series. I have relaxed bra strap length hair and the shampoo, conditioner, leave on detangling milk and hair oil are all I need for soft, flowy, shiny, hair. I wash my hair once per week and only have to remoisturize once midweek with a small amount of leave on detangling milk and oil. If you're looking for moisturized hair that is not heavy look no further. I can't believe I've been able to reduce my hair arsenal to only 4 products. It has taken me YEARS to find the right products for my hair. Thank you, Pantene!

Bouncy healthy looking hair

I was really delighted with this shampoo and how it improved my hair. It is in a pump dispenser which enables you to use the exact amount you require. It's packaging means it looks good in the bathroom. It feels luxurious and lathers up easily, thus you don't have to use much. It smells wonderful. My hair felt both clean and moisturised afterwards. I used it with the Pantene gold series repair mask hair treatment. My hair is dry and damaged and when I styled it after using these products my hair was bouncy and healthy looking and felt soft and full of life without being weighed down. I was very impressed and washing my hair became a pleasure rather than a chore!

Fantastic product

I have used this for years and it's fantastic! I used to use serums for my wavey hair but they weren't moisturising enough.So, this is like a serum but it puts mosture in the hair without it feeling greasy.You can use it on damp hair when drying or on dry hair.It sinks into the hair moisturising and makes hair shiney.I will never use anything else again,this is simply the best!

Moisturising

I’ve beeb using this for the last 2 weeks now. My hair is bleached and was starting to look in quite bad condition. It was dry and breaking at the ends.I needed a really moisturising shampoo and liked that this also has argan oil in it.It smells like oranges which is nice and fresh. It comes in a pump bottle which I like, however each pump is quite small and I need about 15 pumps to get a good lather. My hair is quite long so maybe that is why. I can imagine I’ll get through a bottle quite quickly and it’s fairly expensive.It is really moisturising though and has left my hair feeling silky and smooth. My ends loved this, my scalp didn't

That's an odd one. A friend gifted it to me without having tried it herself. I decided to give it a go due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I used it for a month. The first time I used it if left my hair looking better than it'd ever looked. My hair is 3'5", normal, thick, wavy, and extremely prone to tangling. This shampoo not only detangled and left it soft, but also made it shiny and defined my waves beautifully. I was so extatic. However, a couple of hours after my shower, I started noticing an itch on my scalp. My scalp was even itchier the next day. I gave it a couple of weeks of this happening - my scalp was now definitely very dry, flaky, and nearly constantly itchy. This had never happened before, even with the cheapest shampoos I'd used. I'm a double washer, so I decided to switch to washing my hair only once per shower thinking it'd change something. It didn't. My scalp started overproducing sebum to compensate for the dryness. It ended up feeling constantly dirty and itchy, and permanently flaky, even when the rest of my hair was looking and feeling good. I've now gotten back to good old Elvive Dream Lengths which will hopefully bring back some moisture to my scalp.

No pump as pictured

Havent tried it yet but have tried Pantene's similar line. This review is strictly about the picture vs. the actual product. No pump! I was bummed. I did a p/up order and purchased this one because of the pump! and because my normal pantene shampoo wasnt available. Everyone knows pumps are waayyyy better than having to shake and squeeze!
