This product has become an essential tool in my workflow. Prior to using it, I found that my eyes would become fatigued, but now the glare reduction has truly enhanced my comfort. As an illustrator, I appreciate the texture and the intuitive, organic movement between the hands and pen on the tablet. Achieved Paperlike Texture, Poor Screen Protector

I bought this “screen protector” a couple months ago, because I heard great things on how it improves the iPad handwriting experience in a few YouTube videos.I will say that it definitely improves my experience and reduces hand-fatigue, etc!But it’s a TERRIBLE screen protector. I put my iPad in the fleece laptop compartment in my backpack, foolishly setting the face side to rest against my Mac. When I pulled out my iPad, I found an enormous scratch in the screen protector! Unfortunately, the scratches just keep coming, despite my best efforts to “baby” it. I’ve had the device for at least three years and never scratched the iPad screen itself, but I scratched the “screen protector” right away, with normal wear-and-tear? Seems unworthy of the title.

Excellent product. No adverse effect on picture quality

I have to admit I was a little dubious about what effect the Paperlike would have on the image quality when watching videos etc. I needn’t have worried - it’s absolutely fine. The paper like feel when writing definitely does make a difference. I was trying to convince myself it wouldn’t be worth it, and was thinking what’s the issue with just using the bare iPad screen. But now I am glad I bought it - does make a difference. Next issue I thought I would have was finger marks on the Paperlike. Again, not an issue - in fact I notice them less than I did with the bare screen.Overall this is a quality product - good quality material, good fitting instructions (do watch them!) good fit on the iPad. I have had a matte-finish, anti-glare screen protector on my iPad since I got it. One of the benefits of that style is that drawing and writing with the Apple Pencil feels more like paper than the normal screen. That particular screen protector I found on Amazon for probably $15. But when I saw the Paperlike advertised on some YouTube channels, I thought it would be a step up. And while it WAS a slight step up on writing/drawing feel, it was a step down in glare. I cannot blame Paperlike for that because it's not really advertised as anti-glare. However, I assumed that it was more anti-glare/matte because the whole point is to be able to lay the iPad on the table and write or draw as if it was paper. That assumption is on me. It's what I hoped it would be.

Having used Wacom tablets in the past, which have a pretty strongly textured surface, I was a bit put off by the drawing experience on my new iPad. The glass surface of the display is so slick, that it is pretty difficult to control your line. There's simply no friction that helps keep the pen in place like on actual paper. The Paperlike looks amazing, retaining a lot of sharpness and I haven't observed any rainbow effects so far.The installation of the Paperlike went surprisingly smooth too, thanks to the instruction video. I'm really pleased with the Paperlike, highly recommended!

I ordered the Paperlike after considering purchasing an eInk tablet for my notetaking; after seeing how expensive and limited eInk tablets are, I decided to try and convert my iPad into one with this screen protector. It worked like a charm! The colours of my screen are dulled slightly to give it a more natural, paper-like (!) look, and the sound that comes from the screen protector when using my stylus is uncanny to writing on real paper -- even my mother thought so when she heard me taking notes!This was the best purchase I made in regards to my iPad, and journaling in general, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to make their iPad less electronic feeling. Pros outweigh the cons

I bought this for the sole reason that I want my iPad to function more like paper.I applied the protector today (it took some patience to understand how to apply the screen but I have a background in science so I understand the importance of patience, trial-and-error, etc.)My immediate thought is that the iPad screen feels more granular (like sand paper).I started writing on it and the sound of the pencil sounded very different (much more like that chalky sound on paper).The thing that was difficult to figure out is if it actually works (meaning does it feel like paper). I feel that the emotions I experience when using a granular surface like Paper lyke is different compared to just the screen.
