With the Paperlike Apple iPad (2018/2017) Screen Protector Plastic Duo Pack, it feels like you're drawing on paper. It feels more like drawing on paper than when you draw directly on the screen. You can also work more precisely on the screen protector. The Paperlike ensures resistance and small vibrations when you touch the screen with your Apple Pencil. That's why it feels more natural when you write or draw. The screen protector is anti-glare and makes your screen look matte. Thanks to this, you can easily work on your iPad in the bright sunlight. The screen protector is case-friendly and doesn't go all the way to the edge. So you can still use your own cover around your tablet. With the 2 screen protectors, you'll always have a spare one at hand.

This product has become an essential tool in my workflow. Prior to using it, I found that my eyes would become fatigued, but now the glare reduction has truly enhanced my comfort. As an illustrator, I appreciate the texture and the intuitive, organic movement between the hands and pen on the tablet. Overall, I highly recommend this product. The only inconvenience I encountered was with the installation. Even though I received two items, the first one did not adhere correctly, and the second one has persistent bubbles that I can’t eliminate. Despite this issue, the product’s quality is undeniable. I do wish there were instructions for a reinstallation process if dust or other particles interfere with the initial application. Otherwise, I consider this to be a ... I bought this “screen protector” a couple months ago, because I heard great things on how it improves the iPad handwriting experience in a few YouTube videos.I will say that it definitely improves my experience and reduces hand-fatigue, etc!But it’s a TERRIBLE screen protector. I put my iPad in the fleece laptop compartment in my backpack, foolishly setting the face side to rest against my Mac. When I pulled out my iPad, I found an enormous scratch in the screen protector! Unfortunately, the scratches just keep coming, despite my best efforts to “baby” it. I’ve had the device for at least three years and never scratched the iPad screen itself, but I scratched the “screen protector” right away, with normal wear-and-tear? Seems unworthy of the title.

I have to admit I was a little dubious about what effect the Paperlike would have on the image quality when watching videos etc. I needn’t have worried - it’s absolutely fine. The paper like feel when writing definitely does make a difference. I was trying to convince myself it wouldn’t be worth it, and was thinking what’s the issue with just using the bare iPad screen. But now I am glad I bought it - does make a difference. Next issue I thought I would have was finger marks on the Paperlike. Again, not an issue - in fact I notice them less than I did with the bare screen.Overall this is a quality product - good quality material, good fitting instructions (do watch them!) good fit on the iPad. I have the 12.9 inch iPad Pro btw, so it is a big area to cover, but ... There are two in the pack anyway, so even better.

I have had a matte-finish, anti-glare screen protector on my iPad since I got it. One of the benefits of that style is that drawing and writing with the Apple Pencil feels more like paper than the normal screen. That particular screen protector I found on Amazon for probably $15. But when I saw the Paperlike advertised on some YouTube channels, I thought it would be a step up. And while it WAS a slight step up on writing/drawing feel, it was a step down in glare. I cannot blame Paperlike for that because it's not really advertised as anti-glare. However, I assumed that it was more anti-glare/matte because the whole point is to be able to lay the iPad on the table and write or draw as if it was paper. That assumption is on me. Nevertheless, I gave it 4 stars because ... MoreI have had a matte-finish, anti-glare screen protector on my iPad since I got it. Having used Wacom tablets in the past, which have a pretty strongly textured surface, I was a bit put off by the drawing experience on my new iPad. The glass surface of the display is so slick, that it is pretty difficult to control your line. There's simply no friction that helps keep the pen in place like on actual paper. In addition, the clacky sound of the Apple Pencil on the display is kinda unpleasing. So I decided to try out Paperlike, as it comes highly recommended by many. And I am happy I did. The Paperlike feels really good, not only with the Apple Pencil, but also when using the iPad with your fingers. The paper-feel is especially apparent with your fingers. With the Apple Pencil, I feel it is slightly smoother than your average pencil-on-paper feel. But that's okay, you still get a decent amount of friction which really helps with line control. And the clacky sound of the Apple Pencil is gone too. I feel like the slightly smoother pencil feel is a very good compromise between feel and visual quality: Most matte screen protectors suffer from loss in sharpness, added grain and rainbow effects, simply because of the rougher texture and how it refracts light. The Paperlike looks amazing, retaining a lot of sharpness and I haven't observed any rainbow effects so far.The installation of the Paperlike went surprisingly smooth too, thanks to the instruction video. I'm really pleased with the Paperlike, highly recommended!
I ordered the Paperlike after considering purchasing an eInk tablet for my notetaking; after seeing how expensive and limited eInk tablets are, I decided to try and convert my iPad into one with this screen protector. It worked like a charm! The colours of my screen are dulled slightly to give it a more natural, paper-like (!) look, and the sound that comes from the screen protector when using my stylus is uncanny to writing on real paper -- even my mother thought so when she heard me taking notes! This was the best purchase I made in regards to my iPad, and journaling in general, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to make their iPad less electronic feeling. Another thing to note is that, while Paperlike can only assure that it's compatible with Apple Pencils, the stylus I use is an ordinary touch stylus with no bluetooth or connection. It works perfect except for the lack of palm rejection technology, but that's easily worked around with some cotton gloves.
OMG, I'm absolutely in love with my Paperlike screen protector! 😍 I recently got one for my iPad, and it's seriously a game changer. 🎮First of all, the installation was a breeze. 👌 It fit perfectly onto my iPad without any bubbles, and the instructions were super clear and easy to follow. 📲But the real magic happens when you start using the Apple Pencil on the Paperlike screen. 🖊️ It feels like you're writing on actual paper - so smooth and responsive, with just the right amount of friction. I can take notes, doodle, and write long-form content without any issues. 📝Plus, the packaging is so cute and thoughtful! 🎁 And the customer support team is awesome - they're always there to answer questions and help out. 💪Overall, I would 100% recommend ... I bought this for the sole reason that I want my iPad to function more like paper.I applied the protector today (it took some patience to understand how to apply the screen but I have a background in science so I understand the importance of patience, trial-and-error, etc.)My immediate thought is that the iPad screen feels more granular (like sand paper).I started writing on it and the sound of the pencil sounded very different (much more like that chalky sound on paper). The thing that was difficult to figure out is if it actually works (meaning does it feel like paper). I feel that the emotions I experience when using a granular surface like Paper lyke is different compared to just the screen. I feel more of an emotional connection with writing on my iPad ... I feel that the emotions I experience when using a granular surface like Paper lyke is different compared to just the screen. I feel more of an emotional connection with writing on my iPad now.So in short, I do think it works in that it enhances the writing experience, makes me want to write more, in fact.If this ends up lasting at least a few months, I think it justifies the cost.I am someone that will use my iPad for note-taking, so the feeling of paper is incredibly important. The iPad is nowhere near an experience with paper, but with these add-ons it improves the experience. So I say, you should try it out!I agree the price is not ideal for someone using iPad for consumeristic reasons. So, only buy it if you're serious about using it for note-taking.
First time buying this screen protector and the purpose was exactly why it was made -digital planning and procreate art creations. I also want to protect my investment while getting the best possible user experience out of my iPad. I honestly thought I was going to have to use both included screen protectors because I as prepared to mess up the first application. The instructions made it super easy and the result was no air bubbles or dust- with the first application! The feel of the screen protector is definitely a “matte-like” feel that feels comfortable to my fingertip and it has just the right amount of “grip and catch” when I apply my pencil that emulates an actual paper when writing on it. Without the screen protector, the pencil just slides across the screen ... Without the screen protector, the pencil just slides across the screen like on ice and I’m more apt to have messier writing or make mistakes because of slippage. When I apply pressure it protects my screen and doesn’t leave any marks. Perfect guys! I wish I had discovered this sooner, but better late than never! I also bought the digital planner and love it! I love taking time to decorate it make it my own. The “freebie” downloads such as the digital journal and extra brushes for my procreat app is a nice touch as well! Thank you! Look below for pics detailing my very first attempt! The video is a must before applying.
I have been using an iPad for quite a few years now. I used it more as a device for reading content. I did try the Apple Pencil version 1 but found I used the Apple Magic Keyboard more than anything else. Then I saw Paperlike. I had a new iPad Pro 12.9" and really wanted to protect the screen. I decided to change my MacBook Pro to a MacMini and used the Ipad and keyboard as a laptop. I had the pencil but I hated to use it as I felt it was scratching the screen and impossible to use for making notes or marking up images for amendments so I was back at my desk with the MacMini or my 27" iMac.When my package arrived from Paperlike, I thought that it looked a good product I also watched the demo on Youtube on how to apply the protector. If I'm honest I didn't get rid of all the bubbles but I'm going to use the same way for my phone protectors too. This product has transformed the way I use my iPad. That's not an overinflated claim. The Magic Keyboard, well its just a cover now (an expensive one though) I use the iPad for reading as well as making notes, marking up my calendar, mocking up ideas, doodling, thinking,My wife also used my iPad for a short time but she wasn't keen on the feel ( I had to buy her a new iPad though). The grips, once you get to used to them are like - why didn't Apple think of this?Great product, great team to deal with. Its almost like getting a new tablet
