Patagonia Lightweight Synch Snap-T P/O Fleece jumper (S, blue) - Lightweight fleece jumper made from recycled materialsIf you ever need a little bit more heat than that offered by a T-shirt, the Lightweight Synch Snap-T Pullover from Patagonia should be your first choice option. Granted, this is not the only time you will wear it - for example, it is also ideally suited as a midlayer as part of your own personal winter layering system, and it also delivers top performance when worn between seasons. Thanks to its hip-length cut, the jumper can be combined with a climbing harness or backpack to wonderful effect, meaning it is great to carry with you when rock climbing or on hikes in cool weather. If it ever starts to drizzle, the PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) coating is of real help, keeping the fabric permanently water-repellent. And if things ever get warm, or even sweat-inducing in the jacket, the soft fleece wicks away the moisture and then dries quickly. To ensure that cold draughts stay out, the cuffs and hem feature an elasticated trim.

Soft, good fit, good pattern, warm. Just what I want with the lightweight Snap-T -- a little breathable and very cozy. The fit is pretty roomy but IMO in a good way. Not really a
technical piece, but good for walks, a fire, etc.Only big negative is that after just having it about 2 weeks the seam in one of the sleeves split while putting it on -- looks like
maybe it was just glued/fused together? Now there is a big hole ... I'll stitch it up, but kind of annoying for it to split so easily just putting an arm through the sleeve! Never had
this happen with any other jacket from Patagonia or otherwise!

going strong. They are warm, never go out of style and last forever. Some people gripe about the lack of pockets = point taken. The fit is "relaxed", meaning if you want
layers underneath, go with your regular size; but if not, you can easily size down. I wear an XL in everything else Patagonia but I have this one and one of the heavier model
both in Size L. Lots of people complain about the lint they throw off; so the first thing you should do with a new one is toss it into the washing machine = problem... Show more

*Nearly* Flawless Sweater
11 November 2023
TLDR; great sweater, decent fit for someone who struggles choosing between XL/XXL, only big downside is the elbows show wear very quickly if you sit at a desk alot, just the nature of the material I think and cant really be helped.I'm a little over 6'2 240 lbs, and I always have trouble finding a fit between XL and XXL. This sweater is no different, but I don't blame Patagonia for it; I just have a weird body size/type. The sleeve length is perfect for me (some might feel its a bit short) and it does ride a bit high on the waist, but I do think thats kind of just the style they're going for. It feels slightly tight around my torso, so I usually wear a thin undershirt underneath. As for the warmth of the sweater, its not designed for winter (or at least real winter ... MoreTLDR; great sweater, decent fit for someone who struggles choosing between XL/XXL, only big downside is the elbows show wear very quickly if you sit at a desk alot, just the nature of the material I think and cant really be helped.I'm a little over 6'2 240 lbs, and I always have trouble finding a fit between XL and XXL. It feels slightly tight around my torso, so I usually wear a thin undershirt underneath. As for the warmth of the sweater, its not designed for winter (or at least real winter in Canadian prairies). It could be paired with a windbreaker outer shell and get further use of it as the temps drop lower if you wanted though. It's actually really lightweight, and not having a hood makes it work great as 2nd layer. For me the coldest I wear it with nothing else on top is about -3c to -4c depending on the wind. The biggest issue I have with it is how the material on the elbows has gotten squished down and show wear already after only about 2-3 months of wear. It's incredibly comfortable so I always wear it around the house, & I sit at a desk alot with my elbows on the table for my mouse/keyboard, so thats why its happening. As I said earlier I don't know if I would call it a real flaw because its just the nature of the material I think. (Other than this its holding up perfectly of course)I really love the sweater so I'm thinking of looking into adding some type of patch to the elbows to prolong its life, and it could be an idea to pass along to the design team. Maybe including a patch that blends in since they are a bit flashy which some customers might not like. Thanks Patagonia for the great product as always!... Show more

The garment it’s self appears
14 March 2024
The garment it’s self appears to be good, I have not fully put it to the test yet but initial feeling is positive.I was very unhappy to find all the items of clothing from Patagonia that came in this order were individually wrapped in soft plastic. This is absolutely unacceptable from your brand and I will not order again until this is resolved. Noting I buy clothes once every 12 months and typically only from Patagonia for ethical and environmental reasons. This is my reason for a one star review. A brand that speaks a big environmental game needs to walk the talk and unnecessary soft plastic use makes my blood boil.... Show more

This is stupid but frustrating...
3 December 2023
I'm well aware your company (501-C4 actually... and that's awesome!) resists efforts by the consumer at large to offer product suggestions but this one is so trivial. You know that hang loop (mine's green but I guess they come in different colors) that lies flat? You know what I'm talking about, right? Well if you were to sew it so it was always slightly opened (like turning one end of the loop 180 degrees) it might save me and countless others from simply dropping the garment on the floor in hanging frustration. Or...here's another cheaper idea! Maybe offset the affixing of the two ends by 1/2" (their width) so you can get a finger through the hanging loop. I'm quite sure I'm not in your target consumer tranche but I shuck oysters for a living and after a night of ... MoreI'm well aware your company (501-C4 actually... and that's awesome!) resists efforts by the consumer at large to offer product suggestions but this one is so trivial. Timeless Classic
2 April 2024
i have been thinking about picking up a Patagonia synchilla for several years, and this year i picked up two. I just love the retro look and the colorways. this is something that can go from work to the trail and out for some drinks afterwards. I got this lightweight synchilla and the thicker synchilla anorak. fortunately, I haven’t experienced any shedding yet as others have mentioned. time will tell. i haven’t worn them much as it’s warming up now, but i got a few good uses here in Japan and i was quite warm.... Travelled in this

I purchased this fleece to travel South America as one of my layers and I found myself a little disappointed. I have never owned a Patagonia product before, but was excited by my purchase because I thought I was buying a good quality product that both looked good and functioned well as a warm pullover. Unfortunately I found that it was only stylish for me. After traveling with it for 6 months in may climates I found myself cold whilst others with similar fleeces were warm. I wore this by itself whilst going out at night, I wore it under a shell while hiking, and I wore it as a layer while snowboarding. The whole time I wanted to like it, but I just didn’t perform the way I thought it might. The pullover had some positives, like comfort and it didn’t shrink after ... MoreI purchased this fleece to travel South America as one of my layers and I found myself a little disappointed. Very comfy, great fit
22 April 2024
I just picked up the High Hopes Geo version, and the colors are as awesome as they look online. I found it at the Grand Opening of a new REI. They literally only had one and it was my size, on my birthday. Yay me. I typically find myself buying size large, but this I got in a medium. This was my first Patagonia purchase, so could be consistent through their products. I tried on a large in a different colorway to make sure I wasn't a large. Typically, mediums don't have long enough sleeves for me, but not the case here. I'm 6'!"slim and leggy, long arms. Anyway, very lightweight and very comfortable. No hand pockets but not a biggie. Makes it less bulky. The chest pocket is decent size. Big enough for a cellphone, though I don't use it for that.... Show more

Warm and Useful - sheds, but there is a solution
3 January 2024
I bought this fleece for work primarily, I'm outdoors a good bit and we just moved to a much colder state. I wanted something to fit over a button down and undershirt. I have a re-tool in size L from 2020 or so that I love, but it only fits over a t-shirt. This fleece is cut much baggier, and I got it in an XL. I'm 6'1 175 and it fits over 2 thin layers. It works great, it's plenty warm on mornings down to about 20 degrees and doesn't get sweaty until around 60-65 degrees. It doesn't work as well for fly-fishing, the baggy cut is cumbersome with waders. I'll stick with the old micro-d and softshell for that.It DOES shed like crazy right out of the box and after a few washes, but the solution I've found is to wash it, rinse it, DON'T spin it (you want it soaking ... MoreI bought this fleece for work primarily, I'm outdoors a good bit and we just moved to a much colder state. That shook out the majority of the loose fibers for me.... Show more
