The Patagonia Lightweight Better Sweater Shelled jacket is really nice. It has a shelled water repellant/abrasion resistant upper that covers the chest and shoulders. The lower torso and part of the sleeves are made of soft sweater-knit fleece that is comfortable and warm. Best thing is it has a DWR finish. This jacket is not as thick as the regular Better Sweater, but still substantial. It is full-zip up to the neck, great for chilly Spring mornings or early Fall when the weather is cooler. Sizing is spot-on, not too slim, not too loose. A solid jacket.

I am embarrassed to say that, after receiving this Hoodie, I wore it constantly for several days; including literally sleeping in it. It's THAT nice! The material is heavy and substantial; rugged on the outside, cushy and fleecy on the inside. Truth be told, I got the same Hoodie in two sizes: An XL to wear with maybe a T-shirt underneath and an XXL in case I wanted a layer underneath. Sizing is "Unisex", so if you a man on the cusp, consider sizing UP; if you are a woman on the cusp, consider sizing DOWN. The logo on the front makes a statement. You may attract compliments and/or "where did you get it?" questions. This is nothing more and nothing LESS than the best Hoodie out there. Typical Patagonia quality for you!

I purchased this hoodie in the plum color for a trip to Breckenridge and it did not disappoint!! It’s probably the best hoodie I’ve ever worn!! Thick and soft best describes this hoodie and with the name Patagonia you know it is high quality! I will definitely buy a few more of these bad boys!! Got lots of compliments on it as well !! People know quality when they see and feel it !!! Highly recommended!

This hoodie is gorgeous, thick, SUPER COZY fabric and gorgeous colour.To be honest I really don't love the ribbed side panels that Patagonia has started including. I think they will be the weakest link, in reducing the lifespan of the garment. I also don't like how the ribbed panels look or feel (much thinner than the thick high quality fabric of the rest of the garment). The current 'unisex' items to me, really just feel like men's style / shape. This hoodie for example is HUGE on the shoulders and SUPER FITTED / SMALL on the waste/ hips (I am NZ size10, 175cm tall). Really far from an ideal shape for my female body, in fact it's opposite. I am embarrassed to report that I like this Hoodie so much I haven't taken it off since I brought it home from the store. I have literally slept in it, I like it so much! I even got two sizes: My regular XL and an XXL for times that are colder and I want another layer underneath. This is a substantial weight sweat hoodie, which you can wear indoors or out. The inside is a nice soft fleece feel. We line dry all our clothes, and I wash these Patagonia logo garments inside-out to preserve the logo. Highly recommend 2U, obviously.
Bought this in the Wispy Green color - I’m a 5’ 7” girl, 38” chest, 45” hip; bought the men’s XL which is just the perfect amount of slightly oversized. It’s a heavier weight sweatshirt, love love love the color. It’s such a cozy sweatshirt. Patagonia, please keep a selection of green hues in the color choices; I would especially love to see a light olive color. So happy with my sweatshirt!
First off make sure you understand the sizing. This is a unisex hoodie do if you wear women's sizing than you must size down by one. I'm an XS in everything and the XXS fit perfectly. For reference I'm 5'1 and 103 lbs. I work from home and live in hoodies all year round. This is by far the absolute best hoodie I've ever owned. I love them so much I bought 6 of them. You will not be disappointed with this hoodie. It's very warm (mid to heavyweight) and great for cooler temps. TTS, not boxy and not super slim. I'd say more of a straight fit. I bought this hoodie because I love Patagonia quality and ethics. I love everything about it, except the unisex part. I had hoped that I could get by with an XS, but this thing is swallowing me up. I am determined to make it work, so I am rolling up the sleeves, wearing several layers under it, and hoping it shrinks, a LOT. It's very warm and comfortable, high quality fabric so I am very impressed overall. Please though, if you are going to do the unisex thing, you have to go several XXXS like you do with the XXXL. Some of us are not very big. I would probably buy every color if it fit me better.
