Careful with sizing
This is my favourite fleece i own, its very comfy and extremely warm...i literally cannot wear it indoors because it is that warm. I purchased my first piece 6 years ago and the quality is remarkable. I just purchased another in black. In canadian winters i can go outside with this and a down vest.I am 6'2 and my weight fluctuates from 180-210lbs depending on whether I am bulking or cutting. I have this in XL and L. The XL is very big...I can still wear it and its look okay...especially when Im nearing 200lbs, but now at 185lbs, the XL looks way too big. If you are around my height and current weight (6'2 185lbs) and want to be safe i would go with a size L. If you have an opportunity to try size M i would also try that because they run big and can look funky ... An L goes halfway down my butt and an XL almost fully, i have a larger torso so this is a bit weird to me. I figured this is just the style of the piece (oversized). They are also very wide and theres lots of arm room, again this isnt supposed to be a fitted fleece...its supposed to be roomy...but consider that when youre puchasing.I am considering going into the store myself and trying on a size M just to see the fit.Overall 9/10 on this piece. Amazing quality but the fit can be weird. I wish i couldve exchanged the size XL when i had bought it initially.... Show more

Great for both workplace and at home
This is the first fleece purchase from Patagonia. Initially, I was concerned about pilling that I had experienced from other brands. When I received it, it looked great and fit was larger, but stylish enough that anyone can pull it off.The chest pocket is generous enough to hold a cellphone l, but it won't close the button.I wear it to the office and I got a lot of compliments. The pullover is also easy to maintain.... Great quality - poor fit
I'll preface this by saying I own a few other sweaters from Patagonia (Better Sweater 1/4 zip and Cotton Quilt Snap-T) and they're a Large. The fit is great and I have zero complaints. When I bought this I bought a large as well - big mistake apparently. This definitely runs big. Arm length was good, but the body of it makes me feel like I'm wearing a garbage bag and I'm swimming in it. Not sure why such a large discrepancy between the different makes. Quality of the sweater is fantastic though. Very comfortable, super warm, and I couldn't be happier there. Fit is the only issue.I'm 6'0" and about 200lbs.... Show more

Iconic and Lasts Forever!
My wife has a Mens Small that's more than 20 years old and still going strong. I have a Lightweight more than 10 years old and in perfect condition. I have coveted this heavier version for as long as I can remember; and finally pulled the trigger. It's perfect for cold nights at the campsite, next to the lake, at the beach; you name it. SO warm and cozy! Classic looks that never go out of style. Be forewarned: You'd better choose your color carefully, because you're going to have this wonderful pullover for a long, LONG time!... Runs Kinda Small (Not fitted for Women’s Body)
I am 5'4 / 1m64 and I always buy in the Men’s section, I never have any problem and buys Men’s XS/S/M . And, I know Men’s clothing will always be made broader at the shoulder section and longer, as well as narrower at the hips. However, there’s this elastic at the waist that is made way too tight and it’s uncomfortable. I don’t have the biggest hips, but I wish I would have bought a size small or even medium for that oversized look. XS looks fitted and it fits fine, but it’s too tight at the waist/hips. Also, the fleece isn’t as thick as I was expecting. I would return it if I could.... Show more

Shedding a lot
I love this snap-t, great colors, but its shedding a lot. It looks like the anti-pilling coating is coming off. I see shiny fluff fibers everywhere. Im also thinking, how eco friendly is it to have these synthetic fibres coming off so much? These fibres end up in nature as well? I think this is part of the microplastic problem. Sounds like something to think about for Patagonia.Im thinking about returning it because Im afraid the shedding doesnt stop. It is actually a lot that comes off.... Show more

This pullover is a must have
Comfort (5/5):The Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Pullover is by far the most comfortable piece of outerwear I have ever worn. Whether you are wearing this out in cold weather, throughout your day in the office, or when you are lounging around the house, you will find it hard to ever take it off. I believe the best thing to relate this pullover to is a portable blanket. After a few times wearing this product, I found myself using this fleece jacket as my blanket when I was finally forced to take it off. The soft material covers both the interior and exterior of the pullover and it truly is hard to compare this fleece to any other kind of blanket or outerwear. If you are someone who can’t resist a soft piece of clothing, skip the sherpa and come straight to this fleece ... If you are someone who can’t resist a soft piece of clothing, skip the sherpa and come straight to this fleece pullover.Fit (4/5):This topic is something I hope you readers really pay attention to. If you like a tighter fitting jacket, then this product is not for you. The Snap-T Fleece Pullover is very baggy - though this is by its design. I have found that this pullover fits very loose throughout the arms, torso, and collar. There is plenty of room for you to have multiple layers underneath so you can fully insulate yourself during the harsher weather. Although this is a loose fit, it does not take away from the overall comfort of this product. For your personal reference when contemplating what size to order, I am 6’1” and roughly 190 pounds and I own this product in a size medium. It is a perfect length and loose fit.Insulation (4/5):You are going to debate whether you actually need a winter coat over this when you have to go outside in cold weather. I have experienced some of the harshest winters thus far at Iowa State and this pullover never fails to keep me warm while I am walking to class. Sometimes I am almost too warm when I wear this. No matter the weather and the activity you’re doing, be prepared to break a sweat. It is totally based on the occasion, but I suggest wearing lighter layers along with this. Nevertheless, this product will definitely keep you warm and has great insulation.Overall Rating (4/5):Overall, this a fantastic piece of outerwear and I always prefer this when I head outside into colder weather or have a casual lounge day at the house. The value is great and it is definitely worth spending a little bit of an extra penny on this pullover. If a warm, extremely comfortable, looser-fitting pullover sounds appealing to you, I hope you strongly consider buying this product!... Show more

Timeless Style That Lasts Forever
I have a couple of the Lightweight Synchilla Snap Ts and procrastinated getting this heavier version. Now that I have one, I realy like the extra weight and warmth. I've even slept in it! If you don't plan on wearing much underneath, then you might want to consider going down one size; as they DO run on the large size. I wear XL and even XXL in other Patagonia products; but find Large in this model and the Lightweight version to fit me just fine with, say, a Capilene long sleeve underneath. A word of advice: Choose your color carefully in this iconic Top, because you're going to have it and wear it for years to come!... Show more

Travelled in this
I purchased this fleece to travel South America as one of my layers and I found myself a little disappointed. I have never owned a Patagonia product before, but was excited by my purchase because I thought I was buying a good quality product that both looked good and functioned well as a warm pullover. Unfortunately I found that it was only stylish for me. After traveling with it for 6 months in may climates I found myself cold whilst others with similar fleeces were warm. I wore this by itself whilst going out at night, I wore it under a shell while hiking, and I wore it as a layer while snowboarding. The whole time I wanted to like it, but I just didn’t perform the way I thought it might. The pullover had some positives, like comfort and it didn’t shrink after ... Warm, comfortable companion
Given how often styles change, I'm very glad that you've kept this classic in your lineup and have only changed how you acquire the material in keeping with your mission. You got it right the first time and I'm grateful that you respect this fact. I've been wearing these for 25 years and hope to be wearing them for 25 more. There's a synergistic quality in the combination of fabric and design that creates an aesthetic that makes it a great companion in the outdoors.... Show more
