It's true - good things really do come in small packages. The warm, windproof & water-resistant Nano Puff Vest is truly punching above it's weight. It's super warm, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft Gold Eco insulation contains 55% post-consumer recycled content and it is housed inside a durable, 100% recycled polyester shell & liner. In addition, the windproof, moisture-shedding polyester ripstop shell is treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to help fend off bad weather. The vest has a feminine, shaped fit as well as a soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage for next-to-chin comfort. You will also find a drawcord hem, two zippered hand-warmer pockets and an internal chest pocket that doubles as a stuff-sack. The lightweight, 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell & liner fabric has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The Nano Puff contains the most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available that includes 55% post-consumer recycled content. The 60-g PrimaLoft Gold Eco insulation is water-repellent, highly compressible and it maintains 98% of it's warmth, even when wet. A brick quilting pattern with narrow horizontal quilt lines is featured on the side panels to stabilise the insulation. A durable thread is used for abrasion resistance. The centre-front zipper has a wicking interior storm flap and a zipper garage at the chin for next-to-skin comfort. The two zippered hand-warmer pockets have cleanly finished zipper garages, whilst the zippered internal chest pocket doubles as a stuff-sack and includes a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop. A dual-adjustable drawcord & drop tail hem seals in the warmth. Fabric is certified as bluesign approved.

Aside from the incredible quality and the Earth being the only share holder in Patagonia, I was presented to the most amazing vest with absolutely incredible pockets!! No tiny zippered pockets on these vests. Nano Puff Vests have a pocket large enough to get my hand, phone, and anything else I want to carry inside them without struggle or scratchs from the cheap zippers. That being said, the fit is great. I am 5'5 , 140 lbs and purchased a small. (my ususal size) The NPV runs a little snug, but not tight! It hugs my body with a shirt or light sweater underneath. A perfect lightweight vest for Minnesota spring and fall. Of the many vests I own, this is my favorite; I own 10 or 12 in different colors. I recently purchased the deep teal vest (which shows up as a bright turquoise on REI website on my computer screen; other websites show the correct color). The deep teal color is beautiful, as is the green, and will go with many colors. I am grateful that Patagonia makes XXL in women's, as we are not all skinny minnies. I am 5' 5", 185 pounds, and bust 44DD. The XXL fits perfectly with a medium-weight shirt underneath. Four stars instead of 5, because it is expensive. Great if I can get it on sale and my size is still available, but not always possible.

Great for Many Uses
19 January 2024

This vest has been a great addition to my wardrobe. It is lightweight and surprisingly warm. Layers well under my winter jacket for added warmth. The fit is flattering, definitely more of a slim fit, though true to size. If you wanted to layer thicker sweaters under it then I would recommend sizing up. I wear it to work, hiking, skiing, around the house, it works well just about anywhere. High-quality craftsmanship as with many Patagonia products. I plan to purchase in other colors.

Honest Review, 2nd opinion
1 March 2024

I think this is a great vest but totally agree with sizing issue in "Honest Review." I have a size small Down Sweater Patagonia vest that is perfect. I ordered the small Nano vest and it fits with heavy fleece underneath. I ordered the XS and I could barely get it around my hips and it was snug in the body with only a turtleneck underneath. I am 5'3" & 108#, a slim figure, definitely not curvy! Love the vest weight and the Sleet Green color. May return due to sizing. Very disappointing.

Much thinner than past nano puff, fit is tight in waist.
28 January 2023

I'm so disappointed in this vest. I have a nano puff jacket from a few years ago that I absolutely love, so decided to get the vest. I ordered the same size as my jacket (which fits perfectly), and the waist is SO tight. Why has the waist gotten so tight in Patagonia with the latest styles? Apparently women with relatively normal hips are not the model size. Also, I know this is Patagonia's thinnest fill and the whole thing about the nano puff is being thin but somewhat warm, but it's probably half the thickness of my nano puff jacket. Literally some of the baffled sections don't seem to have any fill at all, it's just 2 layers of thin fabric. Honestly it seems cheap (which it's not, obviously).Big disappointment. This is literally thee biggest waste of money out there. There isn’t enough of ANYTHING to this piece of junk. I can see right thru this in my living room window. Where’s the “puff”? You prove to me why you can charge what you do for this piece of junk nylon with a zipper and this review can change. Tissue paper thin, NOT WARM -NOT INSULATED NOT WINDPROOF (have proof of that) so then, what is it? My hiking club couldn’t stop laughing at this thing. None of the 15 I am active with will purchase it either. My sons kite has more material than they used in this what ever u call it….a vest?

These things last

I have two nano puff vests (Med Black and Sm White) and these are the definition of a security blanket. I wear my black one almost all the time while I wear my white one when I row so it sits closer to my body. I've had each of these for over 10 years and they are still in amazing condition despite a lot of wear and in outdoor situations. My black one had a small snag that I took to a Patagonia store about 6 years ago and had patched (lovely job on that btw).I cannot rate these highly enough as they keep me warm while also not being too hot. And they layer beautifully under another coat if it's colder outside.

Unfortunately I only gave this
29 January 2023

Unfortunately I only gave this three stars as it is very unflattering on me. I have a pear shape figure and it is not always an easy shape to find a good fit ie. in an a-line dress I easily fit a size 4, and jeans always a 6. This jacket barley fits over my hip area (could probably use a bigger size here) YET it is too roomy in the bust (I am an A cup) so in summary not entirely flattering. This is of course the drawback to online shopping, had I tried it on in a shop I probably wouldn't have purchased it. Saying that....It is extremely practical though and so is getting a lot of use! I get very cold very easily especially across the shoulders and neck as soon as there is any draft. I also use it to sneak as an under layer when wearing something smarter. I had to attend a dressier occasion where I wore a dress, boots and jacket. I wore it under my jacket, with a scarf covering the neck line. As it is thin it is not at all bulky and I was very grateful for the warm layer.I would therefore recommend it to a friend who needed a light, yet warm extra layer that can fold up tiny and travel wherever you go when not needed.

Women's Nano Puff Vest Review
26 August 2024

Generally, I like this vest and wear it daily for most of three seasons per year. In fact, it's my third one. First is still kicking because well... it's black. Second one has been retired after encounters with a few too many campfire sparks. Both have seen much use and served me well. It's not a five-star review because the sizing has changed over the years although I seem to have stayed the same size based on how other clothes fit. My first vest (10 ish years ago?) was a size medium and fit almost perfectly. Second one (5 ish years ago?) was a size medium and was baggier in the chest and waist than I would have preferred. So on this third one I went with a size small after consulting with Patagonia's Help Team (thank you), and it's much closer to fitting like my ... MoreGenerally, I like this vest and wear it daily for most of three seasons per year. Although if I could influence the future sizing to make it fit even better, I'd make this current small 0.5 or 1" longer and give it more coverage across the top/front/back of the shoulders. The up side to the current fit is that it will be layer more easily under other things.
