Best jacket ever!!!!

I am so happy with this jacket. Purchased for travel as the only jacket I would take for 1 year and I could not be happier. The size is smallish so don't be afraid to size up. Sizing up means I can also layer this piece. The weather has been colder than expected and the performance of this jacket has been incredible. It's warm but not hot, in wind it's awesome, the hood is well fitted. Packing down this jacket is a breeze and its so light. We also had some unexpected snow and the jacket was amazing. I didn't expect to be so impressed with this, but I'm 100% recommending it.

This is the second down sweater Ive owned. The first was a different brand that I wore the out years ago and decided to replace it with a Patagonia. I couldn't be more pleased. The fit is true to size and measurements. I did order up one size so I would have room for sweaters and bulkier winter clothes beneath and while I have some room to move its by no means baggy. Im on the tall side for a woman and have lanky arms - the sleeves for me just right. On cold windy days I pop up the hood and it keeps both my head and neck warm during my walks. The outer fabric is thin and I did snag it on something and got a small tear, but thats the way lightweight down jackets are made. Totally my fault and not reflective of the quality of the product - a little piece of duct tape ... MoreThis is the second down sweater Ive owned. Love the nano puff mens

I am on the shorter side and about 155 lbs. I like all my jackets and things to be looser and hit below my waist. I got this in the Mens large, so it would comfortable zip around my hips. It is fantastic, it covers my butt and zips around my hips and is so warm! So I know this review is about the mens nano but consider it for a looser longer layer. We are planning to go to Canada and this will be a layer under my longer parka. I love this for running my daughter to the bus and the way it hugs my whole body!! I LOVE this Nano Puff, plus I got Wavy Blue and its a gorgeous Color.

Nice lightweight warm jacket
12 February 2023

I love the fit and warmth of this jacket for fall or winter days over 45, or as an inner layer to my rain shell, or other winter coat. Presently Im 128 lbs and am Petite, 64 years old, have room for a fleece layer underneath. 36, 28, 37 hip. It fits just right. In the hips just barely If you need to layer or hips are larger; I suggest sizing up! Loved this so much I ordered the navy hooded, and green without the hood. I reach for my older Patagonia down jackets for colder than 50 temps.

Not Durable
15 February 2022

I love Patagonia products and was so excited to buy the hooded nano puff. I LOVED this jacket at first. I live in the northeast and it gets cold. This jacket is so light yet so warm. Great for layering. I can wear this in 35 with only a tshirt underneath and be fine (no winds). I usually pair it with a cold gear shirt or a hoodie when it is under 35 or windy. However, I am now on my third one since the end of November. This jacket is simply not durable enough to be an outer layer even in everyday/ non active wear. The seaming easily pulls. My first jacket the seaming on the cuff came loose. My second had seam issues and then a tear happened. My third now also has a tear along the seam. All happened in different spots.I love this insulation and weight to this ... MoreI love Patagonia products and was so excited to buy the hooded nano puff. I LOVED this jacket at first. Really expected better from Patagonia.

Round two of nano puff!
26 February 2023

I bought this jacket during the sale because my maroon jacket I bought about 9 years ago was beginning to fail. I used this jacket all the time- for biking, hiking, and everyday wear.I sized up this time (xs -> s) as I want to be able to put layers underneath.I love that this hood can fit easily under my bike helmet and can withstand getting damp. I have a down puffy, but i prefer the synthetic for outdoor wear.I have 2 frustrations:1. I feel a bit like I am wearing a space blanket due to the color (the light grey)2. I wish this jacket would come in a petite length-- it can look a bit frumpy being that my torso is short and arms are shorter than average height human.

So disappointed
1 April 2023

Hi. I bought this nano puff last summer and only after having it for a week in normal like a tread was pulled. Now I only wear it I. My normal life and there is atleast 4 threads lose. After not even a year of owning this jacket, I feel disappointed because it’s expensive and the jacket should last longer. At this rate I won’t have any threads in a few years. And I can just imaging people who climb or do really fought things with it. I’m disappointed because I want to love patagonia but lately they have been letting me down with their products

So packable!
20 October 2022

I bought this jacket as I determined the one item I was missing during a 9 week Spring trip in Spain and Portugal was a packable, waterproof, hooded jacket. In several spots (Algarve and Azores) I was frequently in damp, misty environments and temps would change dramatically from quite warm at sea level to cold, windy and misty in the mountains. This jacket would have been perfect for those scenarios. So, now I'll be prepared for my next trip. I was shocked by how "unsubstantial" the jacket seems to be yet with a promise to keep me warm in freezing temps. I had the chance to test that last night and it seems to deliver. I was expecting a bit more of a fitted style so it's not really very flattering as it just hangs on me. Perhaps I should have bought the medium instead? But I'll stick with what I purchased. It's great for what my needs are!

Super thin no puff
30 October 2022

After trying on my friends jacket, I decided to buy one for myself in a different color. I live where it gets down to 10 but usually in the 20s. I was looking for something lightweight but warm and waterproof. Her jacket was exactly that! However when I got mine I was disappointed because there is zero puff in between the fabric layers. There are maybe 3 layers of paper thin fabric and zero insulation of any kind. I still haven't returned it. Im trying to decide if I should use it as a layer under a warmer jacket.. I just wish it was like my friends jacket which is supposed to be the exact same. I think Patagonia just removed the insulation and called it the same thing

the perfect top layer
14 October 2022

This is my 4th nano puff (not because I’ve worn through any of them, I just can’t resist getting more colors). I have 2 without hoods and 2 with hoods and my most recent was the hooded golden yellow/orange shade. It’s such a fun and lovely color in person! I’ve used this jacket for everything from hiking in high elevations to running errands around town and they always hold up beautifully. I only wash them on delicate and hang dry when necessary. They also fold up so perfectly in their little pocket to take up less space in your pack. I should probably stop purchasing them because 4 seems like enough, but I love Patagonia and everything the company stands for so I’ll be a customer for life.
