Overall ok jacket but doesn’t even come close to its predecessor r2 tech face from 2021. This jacket is not nearly as stretchy or as warm as the techface R2 from 2021. Purchased this in hopes of replacing my 2021 but looks like I will still be wearing my old one. Hopefully they can improve on the technology and make it similar to what it used to be.

Just got this jacket and I love how it fits! The inside feels great with the fleece. The length is perfect in the arms and torso. This is going to be my go-to jacket for the fall and winter in NC.

I have several Patagonia jackets/sweaters and it’s my go to outdoor brand. Bought this jacket for an outdoor trip and once again it fit my petite frame perfect. The jacket was perfect for my trip, wind proof, water resistant, etc.Sometimes good things come to an end.. after the first week I noticed the jacket is pilling on the lower portion of the entire jacket. For what I paid for this jacket I am highly disappointed how it looks like it’s been worn for years. Just beware is all.

There is nothing like a good quality jacket and that is where Patagonia stands. Well made products.
Comfortable, stretchy fabric. Perfect for light wind, drizzle, and frosty morning dog walks.
I do not have a 2021 R2 to compare this version to like the other reviewer mentions, but this jacket has been absolutely bomb proof for us. It is warm, breathable, DWR finished, durable and layers well. There is zero critiques for the R2 jacket (the R2 hoody when zipped lays a way that you can feel the zipper on your throat, but not bad just noticeable, a fabric flap would solve this), the color is great and it washes well. If you love the R2 jacket, get the R2 pants as well!
I'm 5'3" 115 lbs. and I got XS in black. The arms are a little too long but I mostly fold the sleeves anyway because I use the jacket for work and wash my hands a lot. It's thick enough to keep me warm in the hospital setting. The inner lining is soft, I like that it has a bit of a stretch, and I also like that the outer shell is water repellent. The only thing I don't like (which is still not deal breakers) but the color is not completely black, its more of a dark gray. Also, the collar sticks up and keeps brushing against my chin which is annoying, so I fold the collar down. The main thing is that the material looks like it will hold up in the wash (at least the outer part). I will not be putting this in the dryer for risk of it shrinking like my other Patagonia ... MoreI'm 5'3" 115 lbs. and I got XS in black.
