I am 5’1” and weight around 110 lbs.. my chest is 34B and I have hips. I ordered an XS. The chest is too baggy, but the hips too tight so I cannot size down. The arms and under arms are very tight in width which makes it very uncomfortable to wear layers (I tried a fleece underneath and was too tight). Note sleeves are also too long. The jacket is nicely made but the cut does not fit my body type at all… I think it is for taller and more rectangular bodies not curvy.Too bad Patagonia does not leave more room in arms and hips in general… all products I have tried have the same problem and they are too wide around the chest which creates like a bag at the front that looks awful.I am very disappointed I had been wanting this jacket for quite a long time and when I ... MoreI am 5’1” and weight around 110 lbs.. my chest is 34B and I have hips. I have this coat in brown. It must be more than 10 years old and looks new and I wear it allot. It is a size small, fitted coat, and I needed it a little larger around the waste so ordered the medium. It fits great. It is a little longer than the old small (i am 5’ 3 but I like it that way. Keeps me warmer. This is a great coat for the car, not bulky. The medium is carmine red and a beautiful color. I have other coats by Patagonia and other manufacturers but this one is the best. You will not be disappointed. Love that i can take the outer shell with me and based on New England weather I always have what I need. It runs narrow so if your hips are wide or have a large chest I would go up a size. I have always weighted around 110 but started a medication that added 20 ... MoreI have this coat in brown. With the medium I can now wear heavy sweaters or fleeces underneath.

I like the look of this coat, it isn't as bulky as some options, which is honestly the biggest reason I kept it (that and I really needed it for a cold snap we were having at the time). As for the problems - when on their own the outer layer is very loose and the lining is quite tight on the hips. I didn't notice just how tight because when it's with the lining it works really well. That one is on me as I should have recognized the liner would not work with fall/winter layers for me.It's not a very warm coat when the layers are together, I get cold in this coat in 30 degree weather. And my biggest problem living in the PNW is that the coat seems to absorb water rather than repell it. My boyfriend has a patagonia rain shell that beads up water and keeps him so dry, ... MoreI like the look of this coat, it isn't as bulky as some options, which is honestly the biggest reason I kept it (that and I really needed it for a cold snap we were having at the time). As for the problems - when on their own the outer layer is very loose and the lining is quite tight on the hips. But I wear this in the rain and the fabric just gets so wet that my clothes get damp underneath.Overall it's a nice looking outer coat that I can only wear in specific weather conditions (dry, 35-50 degrees) which was really not what I wanted from a 3-in-1 coat at this price point.

I normally wear a small with Patagonia jackets, I got this in a medium to allow for wearing bulky sweaters under it without it feeling too snug. The length of the sleeves and bottom are perfect, I loved the jacket until I washed the outer shell in delicate and hung it to air dry, now the zipper won't work at all. I can get by with the snap buttons but it's not as warm when you can't zip it up on super windy winter snowstorms. I'm disappointed, for $700 dollars I expected higher quality. I'll have to try out the Patagonia repair and hope they can replace it with a durable zipper when this winter is over.
This coat is incredible. It is both high quality and comfortable, and the combination of 3 jackets in one makes this the perfect go-to for every occasion. This fits like all the traditional Patagonia gear; so as someone with wider hips and a small waist (5’6, 130lbs), I opted for a size small. Though I can fit into an XS, it has more of that straight cut through the waist and hips so the small ended up being the perfect, comfortable size with a little more room for lighter layers underneath. This is definitely my new favorite jacket! Worth the price tag for the quality.
This parka is wonderful for travelling or exploring. The waterproof outer keeps you perfectly dry down to my knees (I’m about 175 cm tall and bought XL which is perfect over layers). The outer layer is very wind proof keeping you warm from very cold winds. My favourite part is the removable hood when you do not want the bulk around the neck which also dresses the coat up. I also love the inside left zip chest pocket - perfect size for phone and the large inside right hip pocket for hat, phone charger etc. Please bring this out in the shorter jacket style as well similar to the men’s but with the beautiful female shape just like this coat and removable hood for inside cafes or planes. My best purchase ever.
Not only is it made from recycled material! It is hands down the best jacket I have ever owned. I like when jackets fits on the bigger side, so I got a large. I am on the thinner, and taller side. I would say the jacket fits perfect, its nice and snug. I still get good enough movement, which makes it comfortable to move around. I am so excited to wear this jacket when I am walking to class, heck I am no longer scared to be outside in the Midwest winters. Having this jacket definitely makes me more excited to try hiking in cold climates. I am no longer scared of being miserable and cold! If you like adventure and being outside but like me is someone who is always freezing this is a 100/10 jacket.
I used girl math and ended up buying two of these! I got one for my outside work chores because its so warm. I later smart and then with this not only is my top warm but my legs too! Ok so that basically makes this a top and bottom. Now for fall you unzip the inner puffer and wear that and it is form fitting and so dressy cute! I dont look like the kid on a Christmas story anymore! then in winter you wear all the pieces for warmth but still look fit! You can zip it up over your neck and part of your face so theres your scarf and with a beanie then the hat I was nice and cozy through the harshest mountain winter last year! -10° didnt phase me. Now lets talk how this is also a dressy jacket! Going to broadway shows in the city in frigid winter you want this coat! It ... MoreI used girl math and ended up buying two of these! I am so glad they are coming out with new colors and grateful for the multi-use coat that remembers us tall ladies.
I love my 3-in-1. I sized down to an XS after having bought a Small several years ago - it seemed big, bulky and annoying. I love my new coat! I wear it in all it's forms, as a raincoat, a puffer jacket and with them both together. What a great fit and a great decision! I just got caught in a stormy downpour yesterday and stayed warm and dry. I tend to get cold very easily so sometimes I layer my nano puff underneath and it fits great and boosts me up to super warm. I'm 5'6" 117 lbs and the XS fits great - the hip area is slightly tight but I love that it has a nice neat fit overall. The sleeves are a perfect length.
I find Patagonia really struggles with consistency in sizing. I am a med in almost every other jacket, this jacket I needed a large. Im 5ft 6+ in, 148 lbs. Im a strong build with larger hips, wear a size 8 in pants. The jacket fits great up top except the arms are too long, which isnt a big deal for me. The outer jacket has a 2 way zipper which is important for full leg movement when walking, but the inside jacket doesnt, so I dont see me wearing it alone because I wont have enough range of motion to walk. The jacket will fit my needs as 2 layers. If you are a bit larger through the bum, this will be a tight fit even in a large.
