Easy to install in older motherboard with spare 16x pcie slot. Read and write speed top of its spec rating, ie 1100 mbs and 1700 mbs. Windows 10 found the card instanly. I have used the card for a while now and it performs well so far. Note that you will need the correct mounting card to install in pcie slot.

SSD's are still kind of expensive, but they speed up your pc so much! Even though this m.2 ssd only has 256gb of storage it is enough for your Windows or any OS of your choice along with your programs. If you would want to storage games on it for fast loading and a lot less latency and performance get at least 1TB SSD separately from This OS and Programs one. Or just go for 1TB HDD for your games and other large files.

An Ideal M2 Card for Operating System Installation.

This is a well known product, it is a high speed M2 Card ideal for the operating system on drive C: Large size data should be stored on a separate drive (the faster the better). My current PC boots up with this M2 Card using Win 10 Pro in 18 seconds (excluding time to enter PIN). Note my drive D: is also a solid state fast drive.

Don't buy it!
14 July 2020

A bad experience to trust this product and I would advise not to go for this cheap NVME from Newegg at all. I can't refund or RMA because of stupid packaging its like your Invoices and other transaction documents won't matter when the product is DEFECTIVE!

Great SSD, quite fast, great price, works like any other NVMe at higher prices with the same speed rating. I fully recommend it!

Great SSD, Great Speeds, Great price!
23 October 2021

This SSD performs just as good as it's competition but for a lower price. The stick itself looks to be of really good quality. Patriot also makes RAM and other components, they're a good, legitimate brand that people don't talk about as much as others lime Western Digital or Samsung.I'll be the first to make a review on these SSD's and say go for it! Mine works flawlessly and it's so fun to have programs and games run off NVME speeds!

Great little SDDs
30 July 2020

These things are great. I just added two, one for OS and other for games directory. Windows boot time went from 4-5 min on a standard HDD to 35 seconds on this! I would recommend buying an additional heatsink for them though. They run pretty hot (not sure what an average temp is for a SSD) just to protect your investment. Mine run about 110 degrees F with a stock heatsink that came with my Asus X570-Plus (Wifi) and around 140 on the one with no heatsink. I have ordered two ARGB heatsinks with a cooling fan to make sure they last a long time. Hope you enjoy yours!

Pros: My pc used to be so slow on startup I had to wait 20 mins to load up on my hdd brought this Ssd it’s as fast as anything loaded my gaming pc up in 10 seconds it’s so quick I love itCons: GB gets used up quite a bit but it’s really good

Using as a Drive Pool cache drive
30 September 2020

Small but fast. 256g drives are of not much use in PCs. I use Stable Bit Drive pool. Pool drives have to write to multiple disc slow them. Two improve write performance use a small fast M.2 drive to act as a write cache. Working well.
