I kept reading about this duo on Reddit for being the more moisturizing products from the Paul Mitchell line. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed! I use this in my rotation of two
other duos, so I probably use this like once a month and only have my experience from the occasional use and not consistent back-to-back. The conditioner is pretty
concentrated so you don't need that much. I use maybe 3-4 pumps for my medium-length hair? Hair Type: Virgin Fine strands, but a lot Wavy blend of 2A-2C Bra strap length
Low/Normal porosity? I have traits from both low/high, so I’m not sure anymore. Hair Concerns: Dry/itchy/oily scalp w/dry ends - fun stuff lol Frizz - Oh, the frizz! ... Show more

Hands down best thing I have EVER used!! I can't possibly understand how this could not have all 5 star s from everyone, but I suppose everyone has different types of hair.
First let me say I thought my hair was damaged beyond repair. 10 years living with well water (salt filter) 10 years of consistent bleached highlights and recently dying to dark
brunette to try and hide all the snapped hair and split ends that trims can't even fix. I've tried everything and started using the nioxin system after my hair started falling out
and thinned after getting Covid on top of all of this. I realized I wasn't getting the full effect (although it has done wonders!) because I had so much mineral build... Show more

My daughter has super curly hair and I thought I would give this product a try. Total waste of 18 dollars. It didn’t work well on her hair but hers is difficult so I figured I’d give it a
try on mine. It was as if I didn’t even use conditioner. The smell is bland and reminds me of the conditioner they use in horses cause mane n tail. Total waste of money. I want
to believe that I bought a bottle that someone tampered with because Paul mitchell normally does better than this.

Hates coconut oil and protein - my hair gets very brittle and destroyed I love the smell of tea tree and lavender, so I have absolutely no complaints about the smell. When applying throughout my hair I could already feel how thick and mositurizing it was! I squish to condish and use a wide-tooth comb to distribute the conditioner throughout my hair and let it sit for about 2-5 minutes before rinsing it completely out. It's not a magical aftermath for my hair and I still have frizz, BUT I was actually surprised at how soft my hair felt when it dried. The first time I used the duo I couldn't stop touching my hair lol. Overall, I like how my hair turns out after washing my hair with the matching shampoo. It feels clean, soft, and manageable.... I've tried everything and started using the nioxin system after my hair started falling out and thinned after getting Covid on top of all of this. I realized I wasn't getting the full effect (although it has done wonders!) because I had so much mineral buildup.. after a lot of research I purchased this conditioner along with the shampoo 3. I PANICKED after leaving the shampoo lather in for 10 minutes as directed to really break down the mineral deposits in my hair when I went to rinse it out and immediately realized my hair was clumped together and drier than straw! I had to let water run over my hair and just squeeze the lather out as I couldn't even get my fingers in my hair it was so clumped and dry... never have I experienced anything like this in life but when I rubbed the detangler across the top of my hair it literally soaked straight in and immediately my hair had so much slip and felt so silky I could have cried with relief.. that being said after my shower I was easily able to comb my hair and dry it and was left with the most gorgeous hair I've ever had!!! All this from ONE wash!! I do not believe in "cure all" products, I find most are gimmicks, however these two products were a complete game changer and hair saver for me!! I had no frizz, no split ends sticking up everywhere and my hair looked so full and soft I truly can't believe it, I also can't keep my hands out of my hair, it hasn't been this soft and silky since I was a teenager. I've never been so thankful to come across a product as I have these 2 in my life, THANK YOU!!!! For reference I have straight, fine, medium density, high porosity hair that comes halfway down my back... Show more

Carrot extract must be the difference
28 December 2022
I have been using this conditioner for about 20 years. No matter what I get on a whim , I always come back to this. My hair has always been longer from shoulder length to mid-back. It's fine, straight and has always tangled easily. For me, this conditioner detangles, has provided just the right moisture. It's never been too heavy. Everyone's hair is different and has just been a tried and true product for me.... Show more

doesn't detangle at all
28 May 2022
I have Caucasian hair but it's extremely difficult to brush after showering, thick, wavy and blonde. I thought this would work well since it says it's rich, detangles and only use a small amount. Well to even feel it in my hair I had to use half a bottle and my hair did not brush out any easier than it normally does. Not worth it. Disappointed. I do love Paul Mitchell's tea tree shampoo clensor so I thought another product from his line would work well too...but that wasn't the case.... Show more

Expired rancid garbage
10 December 2022
This item was not packed well and exploded in the package. Conditioner everywhere! I tried to return to Walmart but they told me to contact the seller. The seller requested photos, which I sent, and then I never heard from him again. I contacted him once more to see if I could get a refund and never heard a word. In addition, the conditioner was old. It smelled rancid and nothing like it is supposed to. Do not waste your money! Absolute garbage!... Show more

Great detangler, smells average
11 August 2022
I have thick wavy fine lightened hair. It can get a bit knotty and this works great as a detangler. I find I am able to skip the leave in conditioner once out of the shower. But the smell is disappointing. To me it smells something between old imperial leather hand soap and a pet shampoo. It completely overrides the smell of my shampoo and my hair is left smelling very ordinary. I wish it had a nicer fragrance. For that reason I won’t buy again.... Show more

High end product, affordable price
18 January 2023
I can’t afford high end hair care products so my sister in law suggested Paul Mitchell. I forgot what a great product Paul Mitchell products are! After I used the Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner, I followed up with the detangler. My hair is super long with a slight wave so it tangles very easily. I was skeptical that it would work because the instructions said to rinse the detangler out of my hair and I’m used to leaving it in. But my hair felt great! I easily combed through my hair without any trouble.... Show more

It Works
3 October 2022
I bought this at Ulta at the end of September, 2022. It's a thick yellow liquid. It felt like my hair had wax on it in the shower, but it dried beautifully. I have untreated, long, blond hair. The strands glide off each other. My hair strands look thinner than before, but all muddiness is gone. My hair is much shinier, blonder, and smooth. I don't care for the scent but I can live with it. No hairs in my brush either. I rewashed after three days with the same results. No oiliness from the product. I'll buy again.... Show more

Not for me
29 December 2022
I had high hopes about this product because of the brand. Usually my go to shampoo is the Biology Hydration shampoo and conditioner, they leave my hair feeling AMAZING!! However Biology shot the prices up of their shampoo and conditioner by over $10 each so I needed something affordable which the prices on these are amazing! I bought the shampoo and conditioner, I was very impressed with the shampoo as I thought it cleaned my hair and was very gentle. Then I got to the conditioner and was extremely disappointed. The smell is like a unscented cream and it felt like I was putting lotion in my hair. The texture was like a cheap cream, it felt my hands and hair feeling grimy. It was hard to spread the product evenly through my hair and I found myself using more. My hair ... MoreI had high hopes about this product because of the brand. The smell is like a unscented cream and it felt like I was putting lotion in my hair. The texture was like a cheap cream, it felt my hands and hair feeling grimy. It was hard to spread the product evenly through my hair and I found myself using more. My hair did not feel hydrated, it was dry. I did notice it was easier to brush which was nice. My partner said the same thing with her hair which is coarse compared to mine. I debated returning the product which I wish I would have and just spent the extra money on the Biology conditioner. I would buy the shampoo again because it was amazing, just not the conditioner. I did have a little extra of my Biology conditioner so I used this with the Paul Mitchell's shampoo and my hair was so soft!! I'd use that combo in the future for sure! Hope this helps someone. I'm giving this product a 2 stars because the prices is unbeatable for the size, it's lasted me over 3 months for 2 people, and my hair brushes easier. Cons, texture, smells unpleasant, makes my hair dry.... Show more
