This is the best camera strap I've ever used. The ease with which you can adjust the length and attach and detach your camera is unrivalled. It's so good that I'm ashamed to say that I own one of each variety: the padded Slide, this Slide Lite, and the Leash. I use the Slide for my DSLR and the Leash for my travel camera, I got this slide lite to use with my snoot bag instead of the original manufacturer's strap. I would definitely recommend any of the Peak Design straps to anyone wanting the best of the best.

I've had a Peak Design Slide strap on my last 3 cameras. When I recently purchased another camera, I purchased another Peak Design strap, this time the Slide Lite. The branded strap that comes with the camera stays in the box! Peak Design straps allow me to crossbody carry my camera...a huge benefit as a female photographer. The quick adjustability of the strap length is better than any other strap I've had. The adjustment buckles are easy to operate and securely keep the strap at the chosen length. The provided anchor connectors that are used to attach the strap to the camera are not only strong and secure, but they make it quick and easy to remove the camera strap when I mount my camera on a tripod. I picked this strap up because I've been carrying a second camera since I got back into analog photography. I found myself often slinging an analog camera and hand carrying a digital, or vice versa, and figured it was about time I got another strap so I wasn't carrying something all day. I'll say this, the slidelite is robust, comfortable, sturdy and well designed. That said, it's overkill for me. My previous strap was the Peak Design Leash, which is the same fantastic quick-connect system. It's about 1/3 the width though, and much lighter, with significantly smaller buckles. For the cameras I carry, the leash is much less obtrusive and more comfortable. If I was carrying a large DSLR with heavy lenses, maybe the slidelite would be more fitting, but for my purposes ... MoreI picked this strap up because I've been carrying a second camera since I got back into analog photography. Easy to fit, comfortable around neck or in sling position or over shoulder position, idea of non slip section makes the latter possible safely. It's quickly adjustable. Love the anchor system (get 4 in pack) which means I can quickly detach strap to use on another camera. Also great that you can attach an anchor at the tripod mount on base of camera - lens then points to ground when carrying in sling position. Wish I'd bought one sooner! G be £££££
For a long time dangling straps have bugged me on cameras, so when I bought a Canon EOS R6 I decided it was time to do something about it. I did some research and everything pointed at Peak Design being the best.I ordered one online from Wex as I have no nearby camera shop and couldn't justify a trip to Milton Keynes or Norwich just to look at a strap! It arrived very quickly and I was impressed. The packing is a work of art (justifying the cost, or part of the high cost? Who knows?)This strap is incredible, simple to fit and adjust. I love the way it spreads the load, so you barely feel it. The double side, smooth for across the body, grip for shoulder is something all straps should have had for decades. It has probably spent equal time on and off the camera, but ... MoreFor a long time dangling straps have bugged me on cameras, so when I bought a Canon EOS R6 I decided it was time to do something about it. It has probably spent equal time on and off the camera, but then that's a major part of buying it.Overall an incredible price for a strap, even allowing for the cost of the equipment it's fitted to, but worth every penny. I'm now trying to justify the cost of a Peak Design wrist strap, perhaps I'll let the bank balance recover a bit first!
I brought this on vacation to Italy this past summer. It was 90 degrees and very crowded in most places I brought my camera. I felt relatively safe using this, even in large crowds. It was comfortable enough, even with all the sweating I did. The attachment doo-hickeys are easy to use, and since I have a wrist strap from the same company, it is easy to swap the straps. My camera is a Canon EOS M50 Mark II, so it's not terribly heavy.
I currently own every version of the side. I've tried every size, and it's the best strap for me. The construction is durable, but it's not rigid. I've used some of the leather straps, and I appreciate the look and quality of the leather, but I don't enjoy the difficultly of storing them away quickly or vice-a-versa. I tend to match the strap to the planned use, and I don't like to carry more than needed. The anchor mounts make the switching seamless. Thanks, Moment, for the great product!
Pros: Very versatile with two anchor points. Very easy to detach. Comfortable to wear and easy to deploy the camera. Pouch for Allen key and anchors excellent idea. Very easy to use if you have limited mobility in your hands.Cons: A bit pricey but good quality. Allen key fitting of anchor a bit fiddly but having bought the dual plate no need to remove the base anchor plate for Manfrotto heads.
The designers of this strap thought about the needs of the photographer. Very versatile. Light, smooth, easily adjustable, and able to grip when you need it. You can easily switch from camera to camera with their anchor system. Oh, and by the way if you have one of their messenger bags, it can be attached to that as well. Try it! You won't go wrong.
I needed a strap for my z6 ii and I decided on this one, I didn't like the larger version because I don't like thick straps and this one is just the right thickness for me. It works really great and is easy to use, I love the color and the clips and buckles work really good. The clips on the camera take a bit of getting use to if you've never used them before but they are easy to operate and learn to use and I love the quick detach feature for when I'm shooting on a tripod or mount. The strap is sturdy and feels strong and good when worn. I don't really miss the extra padding of the next model up strap, I don't usually care for padded straps anyways. As for a downside I would say that the quick lock buckles are a little difficult to slide up and down, though I've ... MoreI needed a strap for my z6 ii and I decided on this one, I didn't like the larger version because I don't like thick straps and this one is just the right thickness for me. I don't really miss the extra padding of the next model up strap, I don't usually care for padded straps anyways. As for a downside I would say that the quick lock buckles are a little difficult to slide up and down, though I've realized that is due to tension on the strap so more weight means easier movement, they are a bit stiff on the sliding. However I would prefer a little stiffer than it begin too easy to move and causing the strap to slip, so I'm okay with this and you get use to operating them after a while. The quick locking clips seem to stay in place very well and don't seem to unlock themselves though I suppose if it got staged it could happen but with the overall tension on the slide buckle it probably won't go anywhere if it did. I will have to experiment with this further.Overall I think the strap looks good, feels good and works great overall most of its issues are just learning how it functions and most of time I just set it and leave the strap where it is.I will close with that it is a bit on the heavier side for straps so you want ultralight this is still very light for what it is but I'm sure there are probably lighter straps out there if every ounce counts this is not your strap. for me its not a deal breaker its really pretty light overall slightly heavier than the average strap but not by much, I don't even notice it when its on.I would recommend this strap to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little bit extra, it really feels premium and I think its more than worth the money, as far as quality it is very high quality, I have not had it long enough to tell if it will last though it feels like it should last forever. So if the price is oaky with you for a premium strap I would try it out.
