Read a lot of reviews talking about losing the allen wrench came with the PD travel tripod. I lost mine the first time I use the tripod, so bought this tool set as replacement. At the same time I also bought a $5 same size keychain wrench online as a backup and I now use a piece of leather string tied this replacement wrench to the tripod. The wrench works exactly the same as the one that came with PD camera clip just nicer build. The wrench is good quality, fits tight so I expect it will last a long time if I don't lose it. There is another tool iin the set that I have no idea what it's for and the tool didn't come with any instruction so l left it in my PD spare stuff box, maybe I will figure it out one of these days. This was listed as an accessory to the Gitzo Mountaineer GT2542 tripod but it doesn't fit the screws on the tripod head mount.

Since I love my travel tripod, this is what I consider a necessary incidental cost. Goes in my tool kit as a backup as it's inevitable I will lose the one stored on the tripod.
Excellent build quality and amazing piece of product. I was using so many brands to tighten my tripod legs but not satisfied. Also searching for a good one with build quality strong enough to tighten my tripods. Thanks to B&H for providing such quality product.
I got this as a replacement because I did lose my original one that came with the tripod. That said, this is a really useful tool and it's worth the price to have one on hand all the time.
Tripod is awesome, but wish there was a better design for holding/storing the tool. Doesn't take much to the tool to get bumped and come loose. Hopefully this will be the last replacement I need.
I carry a small pouch of tools (knife, tiny scissors, tripod spikes, tweezers, etc) in my camera backpack. Regular hex keys would always fall out and get lost. This set by Peak Design is just what I needed. Stays out and there when I need them.
This is an essential unit for the tripod and the whole Peak Design ecosystem (mounts and other accessories). This is built well and works as designed. Main issue... the mount holds but the mount does not hold the wrench in the mount when carrying it in the field. Hence, why I had to buy this unit as a replacement.
Peak design tripod does the trick. It has a lot up its sleeve. But this tool falls out way too easily. Will have to leave this in my bag rather than on the tripod, unfortunately.
