Similar to other products in this brand, the chocolate flavor isn't particularly strong, and the peanut butter overpowers the chocolate flavour. Because of this composition, I don't think I will be buying this over other chocolate spreads as I can just get a jar of another peanut butter if I wanted some peanut butter mixed into my pure chocolate spread. But for this product, there is no way to increase the chocolate ingredient compared to the peanut butter content. Otherwise, the taste and the quality of the product is decent. The consistency, however, is a little wetter at the top, and gets really dry at the bottom, so it's good to mix them as you use it. The size and packaging are same as your regular peanut butter jar.

I bought this premium priced peanut butter because I wanted to try something other than Jif or Skippy. When I opened the jar, there was about 1/2-inch of peanut oil on the top. I had to mix it in. As I started to mix it in, I quickly discovered there were quite solid sections of peanut butter on the bottom. I spent about 15 or 20 minutes stirring the peanut butter to try and get it to a normal consistency but was unable to do that. I was left with a peanut butter that had a soupy consistency. I spread it on the bread and made a sandwich and about 1/3 of the spread spilled out of the sandwich. A gooey mess. My forearms aren't up to mixing together more oil and spread. I'm dumping this and going back to Jif and Skippy.

Hands down one of the best new product I've eaten in a long time. I don't know if it's the quality of the dark chocolate in it or the peanut butter itself or maybe it was just the combination. Whatever the case, it was very delicious. The size was small so it finished fast or maybe because I used it so much to make my favorite chocolate peanut butter smoothie. Great natural goodness taste. A buy if u love peanut butter for sure! Quality ingredients and no added sugar . Package came in a plastic bag wrapped plastic bottle container which i wished it was a glass bottle instead. For sure is a buy! Is very liquid and as a spread i like it thick layer on bread but due to viscosity ( liquidy) is challenge when eating sides drip. But this peanut butter would be great ingredient to make sauces … eg peanut dressing for classic Indonesian gado gado salad or even as a sauce for pork. I would buy it again to use as a sauce or added to a smoothie. But not as a spread for breads. The taste is very vintage and fragrant vs commercial store bought brands like skippy. If u find this review helpful pls gimme a thumbs up. Thank you.
Having discovered this brand when I lived in Utah, it took me a while to find it here when I moved to Canada. Thanks to this corona pandemic, my local source stopped selling it and now had to resort to online dealers. One by one, each seller discontinued it. Thankfully, iHerb now sells it, and I hope they keep selling this amazingly delicious spread. I used to be a Nutella fan, but after a while it started getting overly sweet to my taste-buds, so I needed an alternative. Dark Chocolate Dreams by Peanut Butter & Co. has become my new favourite, as has that chocolatey good taste I like, but with an added bonus, only contains 1/3rd the sugar compared to Nutella, without compromising taste -- this is great for people trying to reduce sugar intake in their diet. It's like eating a peanut butter cup on bread for breakfast. I love it. It's creamy and spreadable just like other chocolate spreads. The only thing they could improve with it, is the product size - make it bigger, please, so I don't have to purchase so many smaller packages. It would really benefit me. Another thing I like about it, is that they don't use soy in it, which is something I am not able to eat. This is a top quality product with wholesome ingredients.
Okay, so first off, I didn’t read the label, for nutritional value, before placing my order…my bad. I cannot even, eat this…how disappointed I was, when I got it in the mail and looked at the nutritional value. It has, WAY TOO MANY, added sugars, per serving, than I am allowed, per meal. I should be eating, only, 2 grams of ADDED SUGARS or less, per meal…as part of my new healthier lifestyle, after my RNY, last December. This has, 7 grams of sugar and 6 grams of ADDED SUGARS. Which exceeds, my 2 grams, of “added sugar” intake, per meal.My advice is, READ THE LABELS, ALWAYS. I did end up finding a great alternative to this ONE…with only 2 grams of sugar, NO added sugars and some sugar alcohols, which is allowed.Again, so disappointed this is sold, on this type of ... I have been searching for a really good, crunchy peanut butter for awhile now. Of course, I've tried the name brands, but was always disheartened after reading their ingredient list. Now, while reviewing another highly rated peanut butter, I stumbled upon Peanut Butter & Co.; when I saw a "crunchy" choice amongst its varieties, I literally raced out the door to get it - and I'm soooo very glad I did. My Apple/Cinnamon rice cake has never tasted so good. The amount of peanuts and the crunch is outstanding. I will not hesitate to proclaim today that Peanut Butter & Co. will be my "go to" brand of peanut butter from today on. A really good tasting product!
While I along with everyone else was devastated when I found out the OG cinnamon raisin swirl was retired, I was open to trying the new replacement sans raisins.I’m glad I did!! It has been just as good in my opinion, and since raisins are highly caloric I am not too distraught about the raisin modification. Ive been happily buying the new version without raisins for a few months now. That being said, I got a jar of cinnamon swirl from ralph’s last night 2/4/23 and it was not right!! It was too smooth, like there was hardly any of the cinnamon sugar crystal crunch that I love oh so much. I’m going to try to exchange for another jar and just hope it was a bad jar or something? Ugh, I’m praying that the recipe didn’t change again! **praying hands emoji**
