Pebeo Porcelaine 150 China Paint Markers 1.2mm Silver

(155 reviews)

High-quality markers for porcelain from the Porcelaine 150 series, created by the French brand Pébéo. These pens are used for writing, drawing contours and delimiting areas painted with Porcelaine 150 paints. Thanks to their unique properties, they can be used by both beginners and professionals. They have a precise 1.2 mm wide tip. The pattern drawn with markers should be left to dry for 24 hours, and then burned at 150 ° C for 35 minutes. Before using the pen, shake it thoroughly. Then you just need to press the tip several times to start the ink flow. If you do not use a marker for a long time, you can write it on the paper, it will make it easier to use it again. Store the pens in a horizontal position.

I purchased this item to touch up a few pieces of glazed porcelain. The variety of color choices are considerably more than other vendors offer. Also, the price was less than other vendors. The color green I chose and received matched exactly the shade of green advertised on the site. The pen was super easy to use and glided smoothly. No leakage or "blobbing". The pen allowed for more detailed work. The pens hold quite a bit. You get a lot of use out of just one (1) pen. The item arrived rather quickly. I am totally pleased with my purchase.

Brilliant pen - strong colour.

Bought this pen to do some lettering on bowls - family names. The ink came out very quickly to the nib after just a few shakes. Good string colour, nice firm fine nib for detailed lettering. 2 coats needed and it baked well in the oven as instructed. 109% pleased with the result, quality and use.

Disappointed in my 0.7 mm anthracite Pebeo porcelaine 1pen

Very frustrating- the pen initially activated after shaking and seemed fine for the first piece, although the flow was not nearly as consistent as the 1.2mm silver...I assumed that might be a need to activate it again. Put it away, just took it out to touch up a second piece and it will not activate. Shaking and shaking and pressing and pressing and no paint. Very very frustrating

Durable, great for outlines and highlights

Great for outlining and highlighting Pebeo Porcelain 150 paintings on ceramic and glass. Lacks the transparency of the colors, but great to add highlights and depth.

Here's my first attempt, using a fineline pen. With practice, the lines will be smoother and I won't have to go over anything twice. I am absolutely delighted.Found out that the tip does clog. It can easily be pulled out and cleaned under running water and maybe using a needle in the various grooves. You can also blow through the center hole to be sure everything's out. I haven't seen a wire fine enough to go into the hole but I would expect some of the technical pen companies (Rapidograph) would sell such a wire.

Great for outlining

I paint mason jars and glass wear. I feel like it adds good energy to the food I store, and it makes me smile to see them dressed up whenever I use them. I paint designs with the paints. The markers by themselves don't offer a lot of flair to my designs, but a loose, free formed outline adds a lot of pizzazz. I have some trouble with the pens drying up. I bought some at a craft store before, but they were dry when I got them home. Craft stores don't turn them over fast enough, so they tend to be dried up before you even buy them. I have not had that problem ordering them from DickBlick. I've read complaints about the tips getting smashed, but if you are gentle about pressing the tip to start the flow of ink, this won't happen. I have had good luck with the baked on paint holding up in the dishwasher. When I make custards and bake them sitting in a pan of water, the paint sometimes loosens off.

Great product but...
17 December 2020

I have been using these paint pens for a few years for my parent Christmas gifts at school. They are easy to use and once baked, dishwasher safe. I ordered a 3 pack, which (I figured) should last me a couple years. When I received my pens, one of them was not wrapped in plastic like the other 2. When I took the cap off, the tip was completely smashed...gone! It’s not even usable. Very disappointed in that!!

Great product for tiles

6 years ago, I used these pens to make trivets for a multi-class reunion. I also used porcelain paints and then used the pens for writing. But I think I prefer just the pens. I think the colors look more like water colors and I was able to move the ink around with a brush to blend before it dried. Also, it's so much easier and faster to just used the pens. Just wash the tiles with soap and water, draw your imagine, let dry for 24 hours and then put in the oven at 300 degrees for 35 minutes. How much easier can it get. I glued a thin cork on the back after they cooled. Easy to make and a low cost gift for each classmate. I have enclosed a picture showing the 6x6 tiles. Lower left is the paints and the lower right is the pens. The large top tile, 8x8, has a rough ... More6 years ago, I used these pens to make trivets for a multi-class reunion. Just ok. Not great
5 May 2021

When the markers first came out they were great. The company keeps tinkering with the formula all the time and now they are watered down and sometimes they are just a mess. I wish they would have left them alone. The constant tinkering of the formula is annoying. I use these for my business

Mixed feelings on these
16 January 2020

I've been using these on glass. Very happy with most, but am having problems with the brown and green in the small tips. The paint won't come out with repeated tapping tip and then comes out in a huge "splot" which has to be spread quickly and makes a mess. I got gold in the medium tip and it is excellent; the red and yellow in the small tip works excellent as well. Don't know what the problem is with the brown and green but it's very frustrating. BTW - I'm not an "artist" and have only very recently started painting on glass. I do like the Pebeo paints though.
