This is a great air tight sealed container and a very strong case thats waterproof. Highly recommend for keeping items safe from being crushed or even around water like a lake or pool. Things stay sealed and dry in this containers 5 Stars!!!!!!

I bought this as a durable case to protect my Wiley X Valor prescription sunglasses, even if they find their way to the bottom of my ruck. The case is a perfect fit, and keeps my Wiley X's clean and dry. I even added red reflective tape (same stuff used on trailers) in case it falls off the truck in the dark. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

I bought this to hold / organize / protect my Rode VideoMicro Compact microphone (https://www.Home Essentials Direct.com/gp/product/B015R0IQGW/) gear. Par for the (Pelican) course, this is a ridiculously tough little box. And it's the perfect size for the VideoMicro and a few small adapter cables. The clear top lets me instantly find the box holding what I need (vs. another 1030 holding other stuff). I love it!

I have all of the Pelican micro cases, from the 1060 to the 1010. This case, the 1030 fits my Sony RXOii perfectly, even with a spare battery too. As with all Pelican cases this case is high quality and very strong, knowing if I drop this case my gear will be well protected. If you have anything that you want to keep well protected, get one of these cases.
I initially got this as a sunglasses case. When I got it I was a bit surprised on how big it was. Yes, it will keep my sunglasses safe, but it's pretty big. That can be a good thing. I definitely won't be putting it in my pocket or in a 'quick grab' pocket in my travel packs. That is really the only drawback. Otherwise, it is great for smaller items you don't want damaged when travelling. It has many uses and is built pretty well.
I love these small tough boxes to hold all kinds of stuff, from IT components up on a ladder, to my iPhone in a boat. Give them a try, you will be a fan. Waterproof, tough, durable latches and made to last.

Anything that you'd want to protect from getting crushed or wet, then these are what you need. All of the Pelican Micro Series are made of some sort of super-strong plastic. I'm pretty sure you can run them over with your car and they wouldn't break. They are also completely waterproof with a very tight seal when snapped closed. They come with the black carabiner, but I don't care for them so I take them off. They also have a small pressure valve on the front to equalize the pressure. These Pelican Micro Cases have a million uses, come in a variety of sizes, with clear or opaque tops. Models # 1015 and 1030 are more elongated than the other cases. At one time these were probably designed to protect a smart phone from the outdoor elements on a field trip. But as phones have become larger, they will no longer do Still, this size and shape has its uses. Pelican should introduce new models in their micro case line to accommodate the newer, larger devices.
Using this for my son's glasses. He has had 2 cases destroyed after putting them in his backpack at school, had to find something better and this is it. I probably paid twice as much for flimsy cases but this thing is a beast. I love it. Can't comment on water tightness as we have not submerged it.
