Sensitive equipment needs protection, and since 1976 the answer has been the Pelican Protector Case. These cases are designed rugged, and travel the harshest environments on earth. Against the extreme cold of the arctic or the heat of battle, Pelican cases have survived. Made in the USA, these tough cases are designed with an automatic purge valve, that equalizes air pressure, a watertight silicone O-ring lid, over-molded rubber handles and stainless steel hardware.

Algonquin Safety/survival kit

I ended up using many band aids, ploysporin & medical tape when I burned myself nicely on my pot. This case housed all my emergency supplies & I also wrapped paracord on the handle incase I needed it for tying things. It is my 6th pelican case and I swear they are the best in the world! It survived lots of tossing about and my gear was safe inside! If you are looking for a two person kit I'd recommend the 1200 case as it'll have more room. MEC also has the best price around for this case.Main difference I noticed is this case doesn't have the double throw latches my other cases have, it makes it a little trickier to close when it is fully packed but still works perfectly fine and the close is secure.Went in my kayak, backpack, car & all around the camp site. It'll be my car safety kit until my next outdoor travels.

Excellent in every way. Service beyond equal. 5 Stars! Bravo!

This particular case is a replacement for an earlier unit that was damaged by an accident. I originally bought the Pelican case as rugged protective storage for a special watch and jewelry set that I often carry. Since I work with my hands, I carry the case with me in both my daily carry and overnight bag. It is ideal for this purpose. The best thing is that you can drop the case from normal height in most situations and it will provide excellent protect for the items inside. The case is sufficiently hardened to keep everything intact, and the padding inside will prevent item damage. This is an ideal case for precious objects and those that you want safeguarded from significant wear and tear. A great investment! It is a great stress reliever! I originally bought this to transport my handgun when I fly... But it also doubles as my Important things box when I go kayaking. I keep my ID car keys and such in it.. I had not tested the water resistance of it before now. Saturday I went on a kayak trip. Normal run but I was a little over loaded as we decided to bring our cooler with us instead of leave it behind. I cam off a small class 3 drop and flipped. My kayak ended up ..upside down for several minuets while we floated down stream to a place I could touch bottom and climb out. This box was strapped in to my kayak snd was submerged on the stern along with our cooler and some of my other gear. everything inside this box was completely dry. Very happy with this.

One Of Best Ways To Safely Protect & House Valuables
12 August 2023

The Pelican 1120 Watertight Hard Case (w/ Foam Insert) is one of the best ways to safely protect and house valuables. The "pick-and-pluck" feature of the foam insert allows any would-be user to customize the inner foam to the shape of most valuables.I utilize the small Pelican 1120 Hard Case to safely house and protect a Zoom F3 Field Recorder.

Pelican 1120
13 November 2017

I am retired active duty Army, we used hundreds of types of Pelican Boxes. I purchased this small 1120 for my Truckers GPS. It is a $500 GPS and Dash Cam in one. I don't have my own truck assigned so I have to remove my gear at the end of each trip. The case keeps it from getting beat up and makes it handy for me to carry in my house every night. I leave most of my gear in my pick up but bring the GPS in every night. Also the size is great because it doesn't take up a lot of room in floor of truck. left most of the black foam in as I don't try to jam the mount and power cord with it in the case. I also have the next two sizes up that I use for other things. I have had those for several years. I received my 1120 via UPS just a few days after ordering it. Thanks

Perfect for small camera
12 December 2022

The case fits a GM5 with a short lens attached, a usb charger with cord and two spares, a 45-150mm lens without the hood and a pancake lens compactly with a layer of foam around the edges. It will fit a DSLR body without a lens attached (Nikon D3100) and without the foam, it'll fit the kit 18-55mm next to it, but just barely - you may be able to fit a pancake len attached to the camera but I don't have one to test.Overall great case, use it with my bike, easy to carry around and light as all goes out.

Theres nothing better. I have a different brand case for my drone and the pelican is clearly better quality. I bought this to protect a 500 lb magnet I bought for my dad for magnet fishing. Magnets like that are very dangerous buy I am confident it is safe in the case. Only complaint was the foam. It was very difficult to cut the shape, especially since the magnet is round. My advice is to cut all the way through the foam instead of trying to cut only half way. But still the edges came out messy and I'm kind of embarrassed about it especially since it's a gift

Works Great
11 June 2020

I have other pelican cases and they have all worked amazingly well keeping everything dry. The problem was, the more we stated to go river tubing and then doing over night trips staying on islands, I had two smaller pelican cases to keep an eye on. This case fits everything, cell phone, ipod, wallet and keys. I even have the phone and ipod is waterproof bags. This case keeps them dry and has a very sturdy handle. Id feel comfortable tying this and carabiner hooking this to a tube handle. Im sure a small percentage of people interested in this go river tubing. You should, its the best, floating, drinking, laughing, enjouing the scenery on a hot summer day. Anyway if you have a River Run XL tube, this case fits perfectly in the pocket that tube has.

better than Pelican's Micro cases, but only time will tell
27 October 2020

I bought a Pelican 1060 Micro Case (clear plastic lid) 2-3 years ago. The lid catches snapped off. This Pelican 1120 Protector case seems to be made out of more durable materials than the Micro cases, although the lid catches are not metal (I prefer metal catches). Only a few years of use will tell if this case is more durable, although with a supposed Lifetime Warranty, maybe I can get a replacement case if it's not as durable as it appears.
