Pelican 1170 Black Case No Foam

Picked up one for when I'm transporting and storing my go. These cases are built ultra rugged, I'm not concerned at all while my go is stored away in one; they're waterproof and all! If you're on the fence about getting one of these cases just go ahead and grab yourself one, you won't be disappointed.

The case is extremely durable offering top notch protection for my device. It's waterproof and dustproof, which is perfect for my rugged travels. The compact size also makes it easy to transport.

Excellent... I really like the insert's material quality, slot sizes, and finish. While it is kind of expensive, I do think its worth the money. Overall really nice. I've found that with thinner knives, like the spyderco endura 4 and delica, I can fit 2 knives in a single slot.Someday i hope they come out with a big brother that maybe hasa micro pelican case built in for storing valuables or medicationan pelican tablet case built inlarger fixed blade slotpen slotsflashlight slot

Ideal also for securing ammo

Excellent product yes, for a single handgun it would be perfect. However, I took all the padding out and it will hold 8- 50 round boxes of 9 mm ammo, the Magpul loader and still 4 boxes of HornadyCritical defense. It is well made, super strong, and can be locked with two lock locations.

Money Well Spent

A good looking , well constructed moisture and dust proof case that affords maximum protection for your gear. I bought one for my range handgun revolver. Was impressed enough to buy another for my wife's revolver. Two larger cases for our semi-automatics and mags. Bought a smaller one for my VOM meter too. Also like the idea that it can be padlocked. Of course, locking the case does not make it child or theft proof. That is what gun safes are for. Love the replaceable pick-n-pluck foam padding. A little pricey but you get what you pay for here. Would definitely buy again.

Much smaller then I expected

Not much space inside volume only 9 inch wide 6 inch length , I only put 7 watch. storage. Also not deep enough only 1and1/2 inch, which is over price $24 is right price, after weeks later I pound Apache (at harbor freight). Case 4800. On sale $ 32.31. I bought two case different color much bigger then pelican 1170 ,I can put Nikon d7500 and flash ,charger, 3 battery, telephoto lens. Other case Fuji xh1,xt10 10-24 mm ,55-200 mm. Flash, charger,3 battery. Good quality case I recommend this Apache 4800 case much better, easy on budget I ‘ll buy more Apache case. Very happy l bought Apache case .

Pelican Cases: Simply the Best!

Our equipment could not survive our MIA search & recovery missions to Greenland. On and off C-130 cargo planes, helicopters, and the like, these cases have more than adequately protected not only camera gear but generators, expedition lighting, etc. Larger cases have made simple work of 120-mile helicopter sling load transport out onto the ice sheet. We've transported everything from food to sleeping bags and tents, and scientific and computer instrumentation left on the ice sheet for 2 years and later located deep within the snow. And the equipment continued to work, stay dry - and was ready for another 2-year deployment! I simply won't specify any other manufacturer's case. Pelican cases

Superior Quality but Smaller than Looks

The quality of Pelican cases can't be beat, but this case is smaller once received than it looks to be in this free-floating image that is being used. Do yourself a favor and pay very close attention to the size of the case and that fact that once you have it in hand, the instructions tell you that you must have 1 inch clearance around all sides to properly use the foam. Despite being advertised as a pistol case when I purchased it, that makes it only usable for the smallest of pistols.
